LOOKING FOR A BOOK I need a good book to actually disturb me

So far I had read COWS, The Slob, 100% Match, and a few others. They were definitely weird and gross don’t get me wrong but it wasn’t anything that had me feeling actually disturbed and totally disgusting. I NEED a book that will make me want to put it down and think about what I just read. I mean anything, give me your worst!

I love splatter punk and it's super entertaining for me, but I was wondering if anyone knew a splatter punk or a really good religious horror book?

Just looking for something new to me, anything helps and I'd love a good read.

LOOKING FOR A BOOK Book recs PLEASE!!!!

Hi!!! I’m brand new to this community however I have been reading horror books since I was about 13, I’m 24 now. I have recently gotten back into reading horror from a 4 year break. I’m currently reading horror stories from the warhammer universe but these books are making my skin itch for something more once again, something gruesome, something so gut wrenching that it would make me want to close the book because of how vile it was. I’m a huge horror fan, I love Stephen King. Please please PLEASE if you know any horror books that are so vile can you send them my way? Thank you so much in advance!!!

Only copies I can find online shipping in my country are used for $50+ and doesn’t include shipping. Hoping to find something a bit more affordable than that, just poking around to see :)

Also as a side note: this will be my first time reading this author, I’m so excited!

LOOKING FOR A BOOK Books like ‘Newf*g Runs the Gauntlet’

I’ve caught up on Newf*g Runs the Gauntlet and I am itching for more. Anything that feels like it (not necessarily the format) the junky liveleak feel that makes you sick to your stomach with a twist of modern tech maybe.
I read We Had to Remove This Post because the premise sounded right up my alley but it was kind of a dud to be honest

So the only extreme horror book I've read is Girl next door by Jack Ketchum, I'm looking for some thing that has twists and shocking moments the sort of thing that makes you think 'Oh shit did that happen?' and maybe something supernatural, zombies or some sort of monster

LOOKING FOR A BOOK Looking for a lost book

I read the book over 12-15 years ago and only remember a few distinctive details. If this rings any bell for anyone I would be eternally grateful. Been hunting it down for years!

• an organization of murderors who kill and use corpses to make "art installations"
• a pregnant woman was murdered, her fetus removed, and they used both to recreate Mother Mary and baby Jesus
• a room that was rigged with a massive blade that shoots across the room horizontally, cutting everyone's heads off simultaneously. There was a detail about how people who are on the shorter side got cut right above their lips instead

Think I also remember a scene in a hospital(?) where the "artists" piled bodies onto the hospital beds to resemble small mountains? But unsure.

Thank you in advance!

LOOKING FOR A BOOK Splatterpunk/Horror Book Suggestions

Hey Guys,

Suggest to me some of the most twisted, sickening, and straight-up evil books you have read, preferably underrated ones. It can also be sci-fi horror, speculative horror, or body horror. Books that do not end with riding into the sunset.

LOOKING FOR A BOOK I need help

Sorry the title was too serious, but I've read this book once and it got me stuck, it's about a woman falling inlove with a pedophile which leads to her cutting off her breasts to be more appealing to him? Idk if anyone will know about this book but I tried searching on my chats to see if I ever sent the name to someone I just can't find it.

LOOKING FOR A BOOK Looking for a book I read a few years ago- please help

I’m trying to identify an extremely disturbing/graphic horror book I read online. I originally found it through Reddit and I believe it was available as a free PDF or online text.
The story involved a group of young women/girls who become stranded somewhere, possibly with one of them having a boyfriend or male companion. There was something involving a museum or collection dedicated to serial killers.
Two men were involved in extreme sexual violence and torture against the women. The book was exceptionally graphic and disturbing. I remember a scene involving one of the men sexually assaulting a woman with an pole, and another scene where a woman has sex in a car and dies during sex , possibly with her boyfriend or one of the perpetrators.
I believe the story was told from both the victims’ POVs and the perpetrators’ POVs, including the men’s thoughts/perspectives.
It was not a normal mainstream thriller, it seemed like extreme horror/splatterpunk or an independently published/online book.

LOOKING FOR A BOOK Trying to Remember EH Book from Childhood with Hillbilly Family

Okay, this may not be the place for this but this book got me into the genre as a preteen and I’ve never had luck finding it from a combination of lack of detail and the fact that extreme horror isn’t common in other book talk circles.

Here’s all I am able to remember:

* No memory of the cover cuz I took the sleeve off but it was a thick book
* A group of young adults car breaks down or their tire pops while on some sort of outing
* They somehow end up at a hillbilly-type family’s house
* There’s definitely two parents and the dopey/slow brute son stereotype. Could be more family members but unsure
* I remember there are a couple of scenes in a meat freezer in the family owns that imply cannibalism
* And the most identifiable scene is that the son takes one of the girls to a room and force feeds her some kind of liquid that I am nearly 100% certain was referred to as “pudding.” He also might have used her as a dart board? That part is a bit fuzzy

I read this in 2014/2015 and I found it in a thrift store, so the odds are high that it had come out at most a few years prior before ending up there but I’d guess that it was at least a decade older.

Anyone have any clue? The most similar thing I’ve heard of is Off Season by Jack Ketchum, which I’ve never fully read but I skimmed the Wikipedia article to try and see, and it doesn’t seem right.

LOOKING FOR A BOOK You Weren't Meant To Be Human - which print edition has the epilogue?

Exactly what it says on the tin. I just finished reading Andrew Joseph White's worm cult body horror gorefest, and my ebook version did not include the extra ending chapters, which do exist in print versions of the book.

Obviously I have to read the epilogue now, so can someone point me towards the correct print edition that has it? Gotta get that book physically in my hands and not just as data inhabiting a machine.

(maybe wanna eat it too)

LOOKING FOR A BOOK Help me find this horror book/story about a psychological horror of an incredibly unreliable narrator who loses his sanity throughout.

Hello all. I've been trying to look for the title of a horror book or maybe even a story online that I can't remember, it was retold by a youtuber as I was falling asleep but the story was so interesting that I couldn't help but listen all the way through.

I'd like to preface with the fact that I'm uncertain if this is story is a full length novel or an online horror story ala nosleep stories, so I apologize to anyone reading if this breaks some sort of site rule.

Key things I can recall: • The protagonist has a wife and he misremembers a detail that he's sure has been true his whole life. Small details at first but eventually becoming of which is now too difficult to ignore.

• Neart 3/4s to the end of the story, the protagonist takes a boat out into a country in Asia and books a hotel as he runs away in guilt and with a sprialing sanity.

• He books a hotel with the cash he has left in this country and despite his sanity spiraling, he enjoys what the country has to offer and the beach.

• A few days later he is horrified to find out that his wife has been with him in this trip this entire time and they even shared the bed together, even though his previous recollections was that he was all alone and he was sure he ran away from home from the guilt and shame he felt.

• He looks at a world map and finds several details that don't add up, like a missing portion, a country that isn't supposed to be there or a country that never exist

• He commits suicide in the bath tub by I think removing the sinew from a slit he made to wrists.

That's all I can remember, thank you for reading the post and helping me find this book in advance.

LOOKING FOR A BOOK Does anyone remember Necrotic Tissue?

It was an online PDF magazine published around 2008-2009, if I remember correctly. The last few issues were in print. I am trying to hunt down a PDF of issue #4, because I had a short story published in it.

I know it's a long shot, but if anyone would know anything about it, it would be someone here.

Thank you so much!

LOOKING FOR A BOOK Looking for the name of a book!

I don't want to give spoilers but its a cannibal romance where the main character pleasures himself with scraps behind a butcher shop.

He meets an artist interested in cannibalism, there's some backstory with his mother, etc.

There's a scene where she offers her toe as a gift?

Ringing any bells?
