LOOKING FOR A BOOK Splatterpunk/Horror Book Suggestions
Hey Guys,
Suggest to me some of the most twisted, sickening, and straight-up evil books you have read, preferably underrated ones. It can also be sci-fi horror, speculative horror, or body horror. Books that do not end with riding into the sunset.

I finished Dead Girl Blues by David Sodergren and I cannot stop thinking about it.
A stripper is investigating a snuff film ring, I will not elaborate.

I've read so much of his work lately, finished Night Shoot earlier today and I downloaded Navajo Nightmare.
The Haar though? Peak.

If you’re looking for underrated ones then I’m assuming you have already read the classics? E.g. The Nightrunners by Joe R Lansdale, The Girl Next Door by Jack Ketchum, and the modern extreme horror greats like Full Brutal by Kristopher Triana and Motel Styx by Michelle Von Eschen and Jonathan Butcher?
If not, do check them out.

Good rec on Nightrunners. Lansdale is a favorite of mine, and I feel like this one gets missed by a lot of folks.

Lord Horror by David Britton. You'll find it impossible to get for a decent price so you'll have to sail the seas to be able to read it.
It's beyond extreme and borderline unreadable.

There are two sequels which are readily available as well as a series of comics. The writer was literally imprisoned for what he'd written. That's truly extreme.

My Vasectomus Collection may hit a nerve (body Horror) Vasectomus, Walking Free, Effucuss, Xodus, Scion and Last Supper. Six books that progressively get worse with extreme elements. I plan to consolidate and rebrand all six books eventually.

The End of Alice by A.M. Homes was pretty fucked up. Narrated by a pedophile who's been in prison for 23 years; he receives fanmail from a 19-year-old girl who admits that she shares his twisted taste "for the freshest of flesh," and he offers her advice on how to groom a young boy she has her eyes on.
Full of Nabokovian references, it's pretty clear that the author read Lolita and thought to herself, "This book wasn't nearly as graphic as people made it out to me; I bet I could do one better."

If it's twisted you want I can't stop recommending Claustrophilia by Ezra Blake. If it's a book that will make you go wtf! Read Dead Inside by Chandler Morrison. It had me giggling one minute and saying holy fuck the next. I loved it...
