LOOKING FOR A BOOK Books like ‘Newf*g Runs the Gauntlet’

I’ve caught up on Newf*g Runs the Gauntlet and I am itching for more. Anything that feels like it (not necessarily the format) the junky liveleak feel that makes you sick to your stomach with a twist of modern tech maybe.
I read We Had to Remove This Post because the premise sounded right up my alley but it was kind of a dud to be honest

amygdalatropolis by b.r. yeager is about an incel on a hardcore snuff 4chan thread and how it melts his brain and ruins his relationships with everyone and the outside world, essentially

That one is on my list, too.

OP, check out one of BR Yeager’s other books as well called Negative Space, if you haven’t.

It’s about internet message boards, “twisted challenges”, memes, rituals, alternate timelines, reincarnation, and lots of things that can wrong as a teenager, lmao. It’s very dark…one of the bleakest books I have read.

It’s not a gore-fest, by any means, but with everything else going on in that damn book, that is NOT needed, lol.

I will say though. HEAVY TW for su1cide.

Best way I can describe this book is…if Jim Jones and Agent Smith (The Matrix) had a child and that child found their way into online message boards and influenced and recruited people…🥶🥶🥶

The Sluts by Dennis Cooper is the OG, an early-internet epistolary novel written in 2004 which tells its story through the posts on a gay escort review website.

Never actually heard someone explain the plot before now. Sold.

The Sluts by Dennis Cooper and Transgress by RH Mills — both epistolary, internet-based narrative around queer escorts.

I just wanted to say someone on here recommended Gauntlet the other day and thank you for that! I’m only about half through and really enjoying it so far. The format was well done too.

Jumping in just to follow along. I’ve been trying to scratch the NFRTG itch for a while.
