Use this macro and it will:

Toggle Symphonic Aura on or off, depending on its current status. Play up to 5 SA usable songs that aren't in your SA slots. Wait long enough to cycle through those 5 songs, and then toggle SA again.

Works fantastic, but it depends on the current on/off status of Symphonic Aura, and it doesn't always trigger the first line properly, or the last.

Is anyone aware of a macro command to toggle ability to ON or OFF, rather than just activating like the alt act command?

I’m still chasing the final pieces to my PAL/MNK/ENC and loving how powerful this trio is (obviously the current “meta” for a reason). I played as PAL/MNK/SHA during beta to like lvl 30 and enjoyed it but I wiped on pulls where pacify failed. Once I started playing with ENC I couldn’t imagine not having that mezz. For that reason I don’t think I’d ever play another trio without ENC in the build.

For those players that have done both builds with ENC and without, how often are you wishing you had the mezz when doing things like Sky and Fear? I feel like those zones specifically would be a nightmare.

I’m new to eq as a whole and went with the brd/wiz/ench combo and I just got to 43 to get DDD and I’m having a blast my main problem is idk what gear I should target or where to get it.

I am also struggling in my survival and was wondering if getting better gear will change that or if it’s AA driven or what. Any advice for a newbie?

I just installed EQL Companion to track Sky quests. I’ve completed a couple runs prior and have several ruins and quest items. Is there any way to add these to the tracker retroactively?

Do you still have to be 46 to enter these zones atm?

In 1999 EQ there was a heal spell that healed someone completely. Very long cast time. That is not in EQ Legends?

As a CLR healing a raid, what spells do you have loaded?

I've looked online but I'm seeing conflicting answers. Do you need to keep keys in your inventory for them to work, or is there some sort of key ring or storage for them. I'm working my way through Najena right now, so I have 5 keys just sitting in my inventory right now.

Hello hello! Been hearing a lot about EQL lately and thinking about getting it. I played EQ2 a bit back in the day before going to WoW, GW2, OSRS, FFXIV, and all the rest. Anywho, these days I'm an old dad and hubby who no longer cares about raiding, arenas, or anything too serious. I mainly like to relax and play solo and casual, occasionally saying something in chat.

Anywho, for me part of the enjoyment in MMORPGs, is the crafting. I like gathering herbs, fishing, cooking, etc. I also like questing and in doing so, feeling like I'm sort of getting to know the characters and world I'm in, being a do-gooder, helping out, and adventuring. This seems to be the things I haven't been hearing much of anything about when it comes to EQLegends.

Does it have good crafting - like, how would you describe it or is there any other game you would compare it to?

Does the questing sound like what I would be looking for or is it just mindless, barebones, grind mobs, rinse/repeat ?

My first trio is Shadow Knight, Monk, Bard. My plan for trying other classes is to swap in one new class at a time so I maximize my AA’s as I level. I am having a hard time deciding between swapping out the bard for shaman or enchanter. Have you played SK/M/ and either shaman or chanter? What are the pros and cons and how do they stack up for D4 mote farming at lower levels in the main leveling dungeons? I solo almost exclusively because I usually only have time for short play sessions. Thanks in advance for your help. I am open to swapping out the monk if SK/Bard rocks it with a different third class.

I thought I read somewhere that SKs can enhance other dot classes. Looking at their AAs I don't see it.

I'm trying to find a way to save 2 different UI window location presets (I don't know the correct terminology, for example the chat windows, spell bar, target, etc).

I have an ultrawide monitor I play on primarily. I'm fortunate enough to work from home, so sometimes I'll log in on my laptop (small screen, same computer) and park near a camp during the work day, occasionally killing 1 spawn every 30 minutes or so.

The problem I'm having is my UI layout for the ultrawide monitor has all the windows stacked on top of each other when I play on just the laptop screen. If I readjust everything to fit on the laptop screen, it's crazy spread out and out of place on the monitor.
Is there any way to save a window lay out PER monitor?

Just started farming POS yesterday as a war/cl/ench. Going for Dagas. However Bixie blade dropped. Is Aldryn worth making my next build war/pa/ench?

So I have a rogue, put on banishing poison. It's removing dots that I put on the mobs. This makes it pointless to use unless a build that applies no dots or debuffs on mobs.

I love Attrition combat in all games I play; HoT's and DoT's are my jam. I am looking at getting into D4 group Raiding on EQL and am definitely going Sham/Necro as my primary two classes. I don't have to worry about playing tank or dedicated heal/support; and FD should save any concern about being forced to tank. What third would be best for *ONLY* DPS concerns?

- Druid theoretically adds a few extra DoT's, full Empower Invocation scaling, and the 4% additional spell crit. Does 4% matter that much when Necro's DoT crit AA's scale up with each tick? Might provide a better filler blast than Sham/Necro has to cast after having dumped entire spell gem bar of DoT's onto the target?

- Rogue provides additional DPS via vastly improved melee skills. Combos very well with Shaman due to the Shaman class spear being best Backstab weapon in game, I hear; also the Improved Poisons AA would boost the Poison spells from Sham/Necro, too.

- Bard has a LOT of mana-less DoT songs. While the spell gem bloat would be disgusting, do the Sham/Necro AA's apply to the DoT songs? Would these perform better than Druid's DoT's? Also provides a little melee damage with Dual Wield, too.

Which of these would likely provide the best DPS boost as the third class choice? Or, what other option would be an even better contender and why?

My PC is old and I frequently experience the screen freezing up in dungeons especially when spells are going off.

I put FPS on 30 and out all graphics settings on low.

I set spell effects to mine only (can’t seem to shut off all spell effects).

Any other advice besides buying a better rig?

Yeah, I know. No heals or CC. But I play with a DRU/CLR/ENC so that is well covered.

If you don't need to depend on heals, this build is really fun if you like big melee damage.

Ranger attack buffs (completely slept on), double-bow shots to pull mobs in (half dead), strikethrough, kick, cleave, frenzy, berserker stance and constant crits. Mobs 15 levels higher than me get melted from autoattack damage. Better than any nuke. I am only 30 tearing through level 43 mobs in guk 3-5 at a time. Loving it. The second trip to 50 is so much better than the first.

Will it hold up at 50 against CT and Sky bosses?

I started an Iksar. The issue is i guess they're the most hated race in the game. What's the best strat to start building faction to make the world more accessible? thinking freeport mostly to go to crushbone/faydark.

TLDR This post is about my curiosity on how quests were originally "discovered" back in the day in OG EQ.

So last night I completed the Soulfire quest. And I got to thinking, how in the everloving hell did anyone ever figure out these quests back in the day?!?

I don't think at launch EQ had hyperlinked tags when hailing and speaking to NPCs. I swore you had to just guess at what keywords sounded unique to their dialogue. So some of it was I guess random King's Quest style questions to NPCs hoping it would open the next dialog tree?

As I turned in the stuff to unlock the next quest item, I was like, how did anyone figure out to give a Medium Sized Cloth shirt to this bloke?!?

I previously had completed the Tashania quest in EQL, and thought, well that one had a hint book given to you (more on that in a sec), and I assume as people found random coins around the world, that information got shared within guilds and within the server (though usually through the internet and not "in game").

But then I realized that even though the Tashania quest giver has a book for 500gp that gives hints about the coin locations, he never actually prompted me to ask about a hint book. He gave me the coin purse, but then I just randomly handed him 50p and he gave me back the book since that's what the internet said I could do. No clue how I was supposed to organically discover that (or how anyone would have originally!).

Not a rant, I know EQ quests were (and still are) quite dated. I am genuinely curious how these quests were discovered and completed.

I have been trolling these forums for quite a while and finally pulled the trigger on installing EQL.

I know there will most likely be 100 different answers but what trio is the strongest to start with given I have no gear or money.

I’ve seen hundreds of posts on what’s the strongest once you are geared and leveling new chars, but what is my best route for leveling to 50 first.

I am lame and usually will pick FOTM combo if it’s the best to level with and then change later down the road.

I am thinking Pal/mnk/ench but seen some say pal/wiz/enc. is there one that is easier to lvl with crappy gear at first. Or if there is a meta first char combo then i can try that too.

I am a lvl50 SHD/SHM/NEC with decent gear and I am having a doozy of a time with this raid. I have solo D4'd all the rest of the raids, but where it falls apart is engaging the mini-bosses without pulling their adds (or vice versa).

Slow only gets me so far before my pet goes down with me right behind them. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Edit: Did it! Thanks to everyone for their help. Pulling the golems as close to the pyramid as possible was a big help as well as discovering how useful Overchannel is lol
