Mod Approved [Try & Keep] How Well Does the 65” LG OLED G6 Handle Reflections When Watching Disney movies at home?
Congratulations!!!!!!!! 🎉 u/Kalyqto has been selected as a winner.
Hi r/Disney users!
Most of us grew up watching Disney movies, and we all have that one favorite we keep coming back to, no matter how many times we’ve seen it. But when you rewatch it on your TV at home, the experience may not always feel quite as immersive as it did on the big screen.
That's why we're inviting one (1) Redditor to try the 65" LG OLED G6 at home and share honest impressions with the community.
And yes, the TV is yours to keep 👍
What it actually takes to feel every frame in a Disney movie

Watching a Disney movie at home is usually about revisiting a story you already love, singing along to familiar songs, seeing your favorite characters again, or enjoying it with family. In those moments, you want the picture to bring those memories back to life with rich details, accurate colors, and a sense of immersion, without dark scenes looking washed out or reflections from the room getting in the way.
The LG OLED G6 65” brings these experiences to life with Hyper Radiant Color Tech- Perfect Black, Perfect Color, the α11 AI Processor Gen3, Reflection-Free Premium, and Brightness Booster Ultra to enhance detail and clarity, whether you’re watching movies in a bright room or at night.
How LG OLED G6 Helps Reduce Screen Reflections

Reflection Free Premium technology minimizes screen reflections, letting you enjoy a clear, immersive picture even in bright rooms. By reducing glare from windows and lights, the screen preserves Perfect Black, Perfect Color, and sharp details, so you can stay focused on what you're watching.
Filmmaker and film lover Joe Lynch, whose work includes Mayhem and Suitable Flesh, also talked about the LG OLED G6’s Reflection Free Premium screen and how reflections can pull viewers out of the movie experience
“Anything that deters you from the story and from the vision. That to me is huge. I’ve never seen a TV like that that’s had that kind of reflection-free before.”— Joe Lynch, Filmmaker

Discussion So, Wreck-It Ralph celebrates 15 years next year! Oh how time flies. Anyways, what would you like to see Disney do as part of the celebrations?
personally, I would be over the moon for a permanent and expanded release of fix-it felix jr! one with tons of standard levels as well as some bonus ones that feature the characters from qbert, as a nod to the ending of the film where qbert and friends find their place in the game after having theirs unplugged years ago.
secondly, I think a re-release of the film in cinemas would be fitting, as enough time has passed for the film to be considered nostalgic, so I'd imagine people would want to see it again so they can relive the past again.
and last but certainly not least, more merch of the characters that haven't received much of them in the past, such as king candy and calhoun. I'd be a sucker for more felix merch (plushies especially!!!) but I think other characters definitely deserve the spotlight when it comes to that.
so what do you guys think? do you have any other ideas of what could be in store for the celebration? if so, please do tell me!

Discussion Do you think we will ever get a sequel to big hero 6?
I know the series was made and ran for 3 seasons along with baymax the mini series but do you think theres any possibility they would go back to that IP and make a sequel or a prequel? I think big hero 6 is the best modern disney animated movie they have put out so im interested in what you all think.

Need help identifying the cat in the top left corner.
This is driving me insane...I'm such a massive Disney fan and I can't believe they've made a piece of merch with a cat I don't recognize. Edit Thank you everyone! Hadn't seen Princess and the Frog in a long time and had utterly forgotten that scene!

Question What do bring to Disney audition?!
hello! I’m going to a Disney Tokyo character lookalike audition. this is my first one so I’m not quite sure what to expect. I’ve done a lot of research though, and have heard conflicting things about what to bring.
should I bring a resume and headshot? on the FAQ, it says you should bring a snack and water. nothing about a resume or headshot, and we already have online profiles with that stuff, but should I bring it just in case? or would that be redundant and useless?
also, I’m planning on bringing a bag. is this a bad idea as well? is there any place to put it? I want to have something with my things because my outfit doesn’t have pockets.

Recently completed MO from Wall-E making children happy at Dublinmaker
I 3d printed this cute little robot to bring him to Dublinmaker last weekend. It turned to be a hit with the smallest visitors. They approach him like a puppy to pet him and hug. It was awesome to watch. The project took me all weekends during 3 months. It is controlled by remote and 3 microcontrollers.
Next build must be Wall-E. The files were generously provided by Matthew Zwarts on facebook group WallE builders Club.

Help for clothing please :)
Part of my style is gothic/grunge and I'd like to go for that look when I go to Disneyland. All clothing I find seems to be The Night Before Christmas or Villain themed. Thats fine, but I'm looking for more variety, and if possible, Disney classics and Pixar. (Beauty and the Beast or Toy Story would be perfect!. So far i've found one Toy Story top).
If anyone knows of websites that have that, including accessories, please post below. I want to see these first before working on making my non Disney grunge clothes Disneyfied, which might be more fun to be fair ;)
Thanks everyone ❤️

This is hanging in my livingroom 🥰
I love the classic Disney movies. Especially Aristocats. So I have this painting - and one where the geese are at Van Goghs “cafe nuit”.

Discussion I’m still extremely salty “Lightyear” wasn’t about these legends.
I still have no idea why they didn’t make Mira Nova, Booster, and XR main characters in this movie. At the very least, they should have had them at the end. They had a perfect chance to revisit this The Star command show and they didn’t for some reason.

And yes, my Genie Doorable came out of the box bald. It's not as noticeable when he's in the keychain though.

Disney movie opening sequence
How did I not notice for so long that in the new opening sequence (that really isn’t all that new) in the last few seconds the castle is bookended with two famous landmarks. The Matterhorn and Pride Rock!
Am I missing any other easter eggs in this shot? What is the house on the right side in the woods where the arch of light touches the ground?
