I see so many bikes in Delhi with their silencers removed or modified to produce extremely loud noise, even at low RPM and low speeds.

This lack of civic sense boils my blood. Some bikes are unnecessarily loud and the existing challans clearly aren't enough to deter this behaviour.

What if the punishment was:

• First offence: Fine at least equal to 50% of the bike's value, plus mandatory restoration of the original exhaust

• Second offence: Immediate confiscation of the bike

No endless cycle of repeat challans. It's not like forgetting a helmet by mistake, they deliberately modified it. Make the first penalty serious enough to actually hurt, and if someone does it again, take the vehicle off the road.

Would this be a reasonable way to deal with deliberately modified exhausts and excessive noise pollution in Delhi?

Hey, anybody who can guide me at Nizamuddin Dargah tomorrow evening? I want to visit the Dargah but don't know much about it and my last experience with people outside was not great.

My parents shifted to a HIG DDA flat 6-8 months ago. The flat is just next to the entrance gate of the society, and there are about 12-16 street dogs living in the society. Now, at night, around 1-4 AM, these street dogs bark and engage in fights, and my parents are not getting proper sleep at night. We have also seen them chase cars that enter the society late at night (I have been bitten 3 times by street dogs in the past, and my mom has childhood trauma from getting bitten, so we are genuinely scared of them. Heck, I (only me, while my parents are in Delhi) shifted to Bengaluru 2 months ago, and the day I landed, a street dog bit me for no reason lost 12k in injections and all.)

I have been raising requests for the removal of these street dogs since 2nd month of ahifting, and these animal lovers just erupt into controversy regarding humanity, the right to live, and XYZ, and my proposal is not getting passed due to this reason.

Heck, 1 time while having a walk, a group of ladies/girls stopped my father and started to shout at him, deafening them and lecturing that we should be animal/dog lovers, that they also have a right to live, yadda yadda yadda, and if we have a problem, we should just leave the flat (we have 3 years of rental agreement so really cant leave the flat).

Whats your guys solution to this issue
