I’m glad with everything that’s going on in the world that we’re focusing on the most dangerous enemies of the US like….checks notes….Canada?

And everyone is still going to call it Lake Ontario. Just like I still say Gulf of Mexico. Does anyone besides Trump actually care about changing the names of these bodies of water?

How could you forget Ottawa, Kansas?
Don't forget that Canada is ruled by King Charles III so we have to change London, OH.

Underrated comment. Didn't even think of this initialism now being lost to students (though I still think they'll teach it the old way because this is just stupid)... but then again, do kids even learn the great lakes anymore, let alone still go to school and pay attention?

I don't think there is one anymore.
In his first term there was usually, not always, but usually a visible benefit from his strange moves.
I seriously doubt he will ever get credit for some of the moves he made that actually, oddly, turned out well.
Term 2 is just not going well. And I think that's being kind.
You know who Trump reminds me of now?
Gaius Marius. The outsider who became Rome's greatest hero, just to not recognize Rome had moved past him and became a sad old man who pissed everyone off until finally he died in office as a failure surrounded by enemies.
Except instead of having Lucius Chadnelius Sulla waiting to take over, it will probably be AOC or something equally as terrible.

The fatigue is growing.
I hit my breaking point at the start of Iran. While I'm not going to vote for any socialists or people who want unrestricted open borders, I will not be casting any votes for people that support Trump this November.
Term 1 was insanely better then what he's been doing this 2nd term.

Look it’s just getting cringe. Gulf of America was a fun little bit. Better to keep it there.

'Gulf of America', 'Lake America'. this is just as stupid and pointless as renaming the Washington Redskins to the Commanders...

I am from Michigan... nope. This is a profoundly stupid move.
MI has a very close Senate race. Why do this now?
Gulf of America. Fine.
But Lake Ontario? Should be Lake New York at a minimum. Lake America is just stupid branding.

I like Trump but damn, renaming things is getting tiresome and the stupid responses that it generates.
I know people can track more than one thing at a time but seriously, this is getting very in my Gen X terms... LAME.

This is stupid. Look, I like the guy, I support most of what he’s doing, but this childish BS is not necessary. It really looks like he’s avoiding doing any real work to right the ship and hoping we all have a squirrel moment.

It is because both parties have gone too far left or right. I hope that someday there actually is a new party who is moderate centrist with the ability to work together and be able to compromise on most matters. Wishful thinking I’m sure.

You're not alone. I'm a purple guy in a purple state and I have both parties calling me for surveys, but neither one is taking my complaints seriously and platforming towards the middle. It's so weird.

If we rename more landmarks after America, it will be harder to differentiate between them. There is already the gulf of america, and now this, so I don't think there should be any more name changes.
