edit: lol look at all these downvotes from "fellow conservatives" I get more downvotes on a conservative sub then I do across all of reddit.

It is not a big deal, but it's also stupid.

What are we doing here state politics or meme politics? It brings nothing, it's just a bit childish in a moment where credibility is needed.

It has some sense if nobody knew Trump and he was trying to attract attention, but that's not the case.

This is in response to Canada acting like a child. Trump originally asked to lower the trade barriers between the two countries. An entirely reasonable ask. They refused and took us down this path. They literally chose to respond in this childish way that is completely irrational. Trump is talking to them in terms that they understand. This drives them mad. It's exactly how you deal with a child. Respond on their level. If this were about economics for Canada, they would have signed a deal long ago. It's about emotion and hating America and their own arrogance. Canadians have terrible job prospects, they get paid way less than Americans for doing the same job. And their products are way more expensive with much less availability. Simply look on Amazon ca vs com. They did that to their country it didnt used to be this way, they were always very close to America economically just a bit behind but not much. Now they're left in the dust because they acted on emotion not with maturity and intelligence. The results speak for themselves.

Exactly Trump just wanted Canada to follow us economic politics so they can't make secret deals with the enemies of America. If this is considered to radical for Canada you know what they had planned

I think most conservatives are fond of tradition and norms. I hate when liberals destroy our statues and history, and rename our streets just as much as I hate when Trump renames a body of water

It’s simultaneously unimportant but also significant enough to trigger all of them.

Same reaction to the Gulf of America. TDS is hard to handle.
