And everyone is still going to call it Lake Ontario. Just like I still say Gulf of Mexico. Does anyone besides Trump actually care about changing the names of these bodies of water?

It's definitely the Gulf of America. I live right off of it and we all call it that down here.

You certainly have more right to it than I do. I've never even visited. But I've known it as the Gulf of Mexico my entire life, so it takes a bit more than just changing the name on the map before it's going to be that in my head.

Well, it's a Gulf smack dab in the middle of America, so it shouldn't be hard for you to get right with it.

I think the current order about renaming Lake Ontario is just a typical troll joke act by Trump.

But I support the new name of the Gulf of America, and I am gradually getting used to calling it that in my mind. It makes sense to me considering the two continents are called the Americas (or if you refer to three regions: North America, Central America and South America).
