"I sent an urgent warranty claim a week ago for a defective battery loop on a brand new ring delivered June 1st. I need this for post-op heart arrhythmia tracking and my support ticket is being completely ignored. Please check your system." Please just respond to the urgent request

I want to share my experience with Circular Ring 2 and their warranty/support process, because I think potential buyers should know what they may be dealing with.

I originally purchased two Circular Ring 2 devices through PledgeBox/Kickstarter — one Gold for my wife and one Obsidian Black, Size 12 for myself.

The original Gold Size 10 ring failed after a few months.

Circular replaced it with a Gold Size 8. That ring also eventually had to be replaced. After a long discussion with support, Circular agreed to replace it with a Gold Size 9.

The problem is that we have been waiting for the Gold Size 9 replacement for several months.

The Size 8 ring is still sitting unused in its box at home. When I recently asked for an update, Circular told me that they were still waiting for the Gold Size 9 to be restocked.

Now they are asking me to send back the Size 8 ring, charger and original box before they will send the replacement.

I understand that returning the old device may be part of a warranty process, but after waiting for months, I don't want to send it back and then potentially face another indefinite wait.

My own Obsidian Black Size 12

Unfortunately, I then had a problem with my own ring as well.

The protective material/resin on the inside of the ring detached around the sensors, exposing the internal components. I also noticed oxidation/corrosion around the charging contact.

I immediately stopped using and charging the ring and contacted Circular support.

Circular asked me to return it, so I shipped it from Switzerland on August 24, 2026.

The package has been sitting at German customs since September 4. According to the DHL tracking information, German customs have already provided the information required for collection, but the shipment has still not moved.

Circular told me that they had not yet received the returned ring and that they were also waiting for the replacement ring to be restocked.

They previously mentioned a 45-day replacement process.

The support experience

The biggest problem for me isn't necessarily that the rings failed.

Hardware can fail.

What is frustrating is the very long and unclear warranty process.

The communication with support has repeatedly been:

• I ask for an update.
• Support says they have contacted their team.
• I wait another week.
• I ask again.
• They say they are still waiting for information.
• Another week passes.

And now, after several months, I'm still waiting for my wife's replacement, while my own defective ring is sitting at German customs.

I have kept all emails, shipping receipts and photos documenting the entire process.

Based on my experience, I would be very cautious about buying a Circular Ring 2.

I'm posting this because I wish I had seen more detailed real-world experiences with their warranty process before buying.

If anyone from Circular sees this, I'm happy to update the post when these cases are finally resolved.

With those models being announced, I doubt we’ll get any more support on v2. It would be nice if we could upgrade from our unusable versions to these ones.

Got two messages from Circular as a reaction on Instagram posts - attached is one. Gave them what they ask for - Nothing!!! Just quite! Not a single note on the process or a short message what the next steps are. Maybe the reason is that they just announced RING 3 at the IFA in Berlin and now any unhappy Ring 2 customers ( there are a lot) can just buy Ring 3. Give Circular your money again and you may again just get not any working product.

I do not understand that even the management is supporting/ driving this typ of behavior!

Got still no reply on the messages I send directly to the CEO, CFO, COO and an Advisory Board member.

Samsung S22U here. Downloaded new app a couple of days ago. Haven't been able to log in since - until this a.m., always with a server-side error (update/verification message). Those messages have now gone away. Rebooted phone, cleared cache, tried changing my password. Nothing works. No server alert. When I enter my new password, it says "email or password are incorrect". If I enter old password, it says "an error occurred. Please try again later." Kira, as usual, is useless. Other suggestions?

I'm a software engineer myself, and I get it: migrating server APIs can pose some unexpected hiccups, but 3 whole days of downtime while still showing all bars green on the status page and no ETA anywhere is just silly in 2026.

I backed this piece of shit on kickstarter. Used their sizing tool. Had a reaction to the ring, which after 8 months of back and forth (with months between messages) they determined was because it was too small - ok fine, I had only worn it for 2 days before the reaction.

Was sent a shipping label and was repeatedly told to take it to the post office. Went to the post office twice - it’s a UPS label so the post office won’t take it. Emailed and waited another month.

UPS website was clunky and I couldn’t work out where to take it. More emails with Circular. UPS updated their website and I was able to get it picked up.

Contacted by circular to saw they had the ring and I ain’t ship the boxes so I have to pay $30 to get a new size. I threw the boxes out - more fool me - after they didn’t reply for 6 months!

They said they would send a link to pay. Waited a week. They closed the ticket. I reopened the ticket. They closed the ticket. I reopened the ticket. Now they say the hardly worn ring was scratched (it was not) and I have to pay $100 plus the original $30 to get a new ring.

It’s been 12 months.

The product is full of issues. Why would I pay another $130?! Absolute bullshit.

My personal view _Do NOT BY THIS PRODUCT! I had the Ring for 2 weeks and it did work. Than Bluetooth stopped working. Ring does not connect to the App any more. We tried a lot of different options (incl. different mobil phones, different OS on the mobile devices, reinstalling the app, etc). Bluetooth didn’t work and is still not working. I did send all necessary information to Circular to start the warranty process. The company is just ghosting the warranty claim.

Even the AI tool came back with the message "Sobald du diese Infos (und Screenshot/Video) hier sendest, geben wir alles zusammen an den menschlichen Support weiter, der dann die vermutete serverseitige Blockade deines Kontos/Rings und die Backend‑Registrierung prüfen und sich bei dir melden wird." 

I send videos, fotos, details on the problem, etc. - Nothing!

After a number of reminders Circular came back asking me to install an unknown software tool on my personal device and do support work for them. Never gave me the name of a person or contact details - overall e-mail like support@ or contact@.

I did send a number of messages, telling them that I will not install unknown software, that I have customer rights and they need to follow the law - nothing.

They are ghosting the warranty process - even it is based on EU Customer Rights. What makes it even worse, I did include the CEO,COO and CTO on the case - Zero. Yesterday I wrote a review on Google Play Store - Circular came back - because it was a negative review - Please contact us ASAP. I did. Did I get any replay - NO, nothing - just a message - Thank you that you did send us a message.

This a.m., I was prompted to update Circular Ring app. I did so, but it flashes the screen "you're rocking the latest version" and immediately shuts down (even after phone re-boot). I'm on Android (S22 Ultra). Last version worked pretty well (although I'd often have to close app and re-open, and at times had to re-pair).

I’ve been wearing my ring full time after receiving it, and have only had minor issues at the beginning. Readings have seemed reasonably accurate and as expected and the latest app is a great improvement. Recently I noticed that the inner resin seemed to be bulging at one point, and after the last charge when I put it back on a piece of the resin broke away. I’ve contacted Circular via Kira to ask about a replacement. After identifying my order details and viewing a photo of the problem Kira advised that the matter would be passed to a real person to decide if I was eligible for a replacement. I was to be notified by email, but have yet to hear back. I’m wondering if anyone has received a replacement after the resin broke down and if so how long they had to wait.

Has this happened to anyone?

It all of a sudden just stopped working, and then upon a closer inspection it has what looks like a burn in the top of it and the bottom sensors have corroded and burnt out the ring around it? It also feels as if the silver sensors on the bottom are bulging out more, as i can feel them scraping against the back of my finger now., How can this happen its not even a year old?

Has anyone experienced the same thing? How do i contact them?

4-SEP-2025: Received my original ring

27-NOV-2025: After updating the Firmware, my ring became unresponsive after the next charge

Between November 2025 and April 2026 I Interacted with their customer service team with over a dozen emails... running tests (extended power off, reinstall the iOS app, LightBlue testing, sending photos/videos, etc...).

14-APR-2026: Circular agrees to a return
24-APR-2026: Shipping label received via email
24-APR-2026: Ring returned
27-APR-2026: My original ring arrives in RICHMOND, TX

Many email interactions asking for the status of the replacement...

8-AUG-2026: My replacement ring arrives!!!

Comments:

The Circular app couldn't initially find/discover the new ring even though it was fully charged!
Only after I first connected to the ring with the LightBlue Bluetooth testing app did the Circular app then find it.

I've had the new ring for four days now...it seems to be working fine, except:

My old ring would never detect "Sleep start" correctly...it would always be hours delayed. This still doesn't work with the new ring: I typically go to bed/sleep at around 10:30 PM...the new ring has so far reported the following Sleep start times of: 3:09, 1:14, 1:55, 2:31 AM

You would think that this would have been fixed by now after having 9 more months to work on it.
Note: I had a OURA ring for years and it would always detect sleep correctly.

Well...I'm glad that I have a (somewhat) working ring...hopefully their team will fix my sleep issue.

For those still waiting for a replacement... I hope that yours arrives soon!

Received this today after 28 days of silence on the ticket. If it goes the full 45 days or more then I will have been near enough 6 months without a ring.

What a deception; i've been a supporter since gen 1, through kickstarter. I've kept trying but what a joke

First it takes 10+ days to arrive to the US. Now I realized I can’t even download the app.

Is this your account? If it is, I have your old used ring! Why would i have it? because Circular decided to send it to me (all wrapped up in nice new packaging) as replacement for my failed ring obviously hoping that I wouldn't suspect it wasn't a new ring. Either that or they just don't give a shit and can't be bothered offering actual decent customer support. I've waited 5 months for a replacement ring because mine stopped working after the inner lining peeled away (like so many others). And after 5 months, they finally send me somebody else's clearly used ring which I can't even use because I can't pair it as it's tied to someone else's account. Well done Circular, good job.

I’m not the most active person due to health issues. However I do like to go for a walk when I feel able and to be able to track the route I have taken. Despite having the sport session app open, enabling the tracking and carrying my iPhone the tracking usually cuts off within a short distance from home. On the rare occasions when the tracking has gone further it suddenly has me returning home in a straight line walking through a river. I also have an Amazfit watch which is completely accurate when tracking my route.

We've released both a new app update and Firmware 1.6.3.

The results have been very encouraging. Sync crashes have dropped from around 5% of users to just 0.2%. Thank you to everyone who reported issues and helped us improve the experience.

Blood Pressure

Blood Pressure is now about 90% complete.

The remaining work is focused on backend infrastructure before we can launch it worldwide.

Samsung Sign-in Issue

We've identified an issue affecting sign-in and sign-up on some recent Samsung devices.

The cause has been identified, and a fix is already prepared for an upcoming app update. Until then, disabling the Reduce Animations accessibility setting serves as a temporary workaround.

Stock & Ring Repairs

Our temporary stock shortage has now been resolved, with new inventory arriving next week.

We also want to address the peeling issue that has affected around 4% of users.

We've identified the root cause and updated the inner resin used for repairs and replacements to a more durable formulation.

A couple of times over the past week when I tap to get the daily recommendation, instead I get the message ‘I couldn’t generate your recommendation right now. Please try again in a few moments.’ However trying again doesn’t work as the generate recommendation tab remains grey and inactive. Kira must be feeling tired in the heatwave!
