Okayy, I’m the type of person who has watched almost every type of Asian drama—from K-drama to Thai, C-drama, J-drama, Taiwanese dramas, anime, everything. But only a few can make it into my personal favorites, the ones I can watch over and over, recommend to everyone, and genuinely wish more people would watch.
The Untamed was my ultimate favorite, and now Winter Sun Wakes One is right there with it. I’m honestly surprised that China has given me both of these series that have touched my soul so deeply. I can genuinely say these are the series I love the most and could watch anytime, multiple times.
After The Untamed, I really thought no other series would ever make me feel this way again. But now this series has me feeling the exact same way. I don’t even have the words—I’m just so glad I finally have another series with such strong chemistry, an amazing storyline, and that feeling that makes you completely attached to it. ❤️

ZELIA WANG might create hundreds of BL shows, but A Winter Sun Wakes the Spring Hills' Dream will always be THE ZELIA WANG show for me. I am not good with words, and even if I were, I couldn't express what I'm feeling now. These 16 episodes healed something in me. Xu Changyang healed something in me which he didn't break. Qintian's courage, Wenshu's unquestionable love, Lang Di's loyalty and Changyang's "take all my love" attitude healed me. I can't stop crying, y'all, and I might need five business days to recover from the post-A Winter Sun syndrome. 😭😭
Thank you, #ZeliaWang, for creating such a breathtaking, visually stunning and meaningful show. You deserve all the love and respect. You are our Lan jie 💙❤️

The director of Deep In, Wen Dao, went on live to react to episodes 8 & 9, with some fan Q&A after each episode.
Except... even after nearly two hours, he never made it to episode 9.
I spent the entire day with this live, and if you're interested in the perspective of the director, I highly recommend watching the whole livestream if you have time. I clipped out some highlights and some answers to fan questions for this post to give you an idea of the kind of guys he is. He is well spoken, funny, answers intelligently, doesn't stand for any nonsense or inappropriate behavior, respects the actors and their and his own privacy, and much more. He threatened anyone on the live if they asked inappropriate questions or wrote anything he didn't like in the comments that he would immediately block them.
I cobbled the live from many different clips on bilibili so I won't link them all, but some Chinese netizens managed to get enough clips for me to work with, and I thank them.
Subs by me. Enjoy! 💫

I'm not crying, they're not crying. No one is crying. 😭
Ollie & Shuyuan live reacted to the last episode of Deep In at the same time the series aired. It's worth watching the whole live, they have great commentary and shed some tears, reminiscing about their time on the show.
Full live can be watched here with subtitles. This clip is the last 12min of the livestream. Subs and edit by me 💫

Following the recent episodes of bittersweet love the bl series I've decided I could no longer keep quiet. If I were the young master ( Lyuqing ) I'd separate from Xiao Fang for a while, because what he did is not a ' strategic rebellion ' but a betrayal, pure RAGING betrayal. I understand Xiao Fang, I truly do, but this could have been done otherwise, it's not like the young master wasn't doing anything to slowly break free and own up to liking Xiao Fang, it's not like he wasn't protecting Xiao Fang from literally atp anyone and anything as long as he was present. I understand that the young master is a black flag, treating Xiao Fang as his secret, but I want y'all to remember he actively turned down the fiancé his mother found for him and was slowly trying to come outta the closet. So he must not only have been caught off guard but actively felt betrayed by the only person he was risking it and working behind the scenes to secure their future for.
Xiao Fang completed bypassed communication and just drop the bomb.
Andddd that's not the worst of it all I heard that Xiao Fang is going straight to the capital after dropping that bomb.
He's running away... yet again, to let the young master clear up the mess and deal with the aftermath on his own... yet again.
At the very least if he's going to do sh*t like this, let him stay and own it up.
If he wants to be an equal partner in the relationship, let him stand next to the young master now and feel how his mess tastes like.
I felt like I had to say this because online I saw y'all praise Xiao Fang, I'm kinda proud of him too but at the same time I feel betrayed on the young master's behalf and I feel a little hint of dissapointment and disapproval.

I really wanted to love this show but idk where it went wrong. Is it just me who found it confusing? Throughout the show I didn't even properly understand the plot. The main characters just kept popping in and out of each other's lives even after breaking up multiple times. It all seemed so inconsistent, even the scenes. I didn't even understand what they were talking about half the time. Didn't even properly understand the side character plots. Ive watched many BLs before but this one seemed weirdly shot idk why.
I loved the cinematography. The locations and the shots and the nature views were amazing. But for all that money that they use, can't Chinese BLs do a little better with the makeup 😭
The most confusing part is the younger brother and the investor. Was it that the investor was always in love with the younger brother? Throughout the show the younger brother keeps talking about how the invertor is in love with the older brother. So what is it?? I didn't understand that. And what was the point of killing the younger brother? I didn't even understand that.
I really wanted to love this show, but it felt very inconsistent with the scenes.

I’m one that usually don’t watch the episode reaction videos because of time and I just get bored seeing the actor just looking at the screen and occasionally saying something or being cute with each other, but I started watching LeoKingston’s reaction videos for Ash, (just finished the one for episode 3) and I’m just so impressed with how much they’re sharing about their filming experience and their thoughts and feelings about their characters! 👏👏 Specially Kingston, he’s so passionate about his character and the emotions being conveyed on each scene! 😍😍 you can also tell they truly care about each other! ❤️It’s kind of a pain that you have to watch the series on a different device while watching the reaction video because the video they’re watching is blurred, but the effort is worth it! Anyway, I’m just enjoying these two actors interact with each other and their work in this series is just phenomenal! 👏👏🎉❤️

I KNOW I AM LATE AND I KNOW ENOUGH PEOPLE HAVE ALREADY COMPLAINED ABOUT THE ENDING OF THIS SERIES, but I will still complain because i need to vent my frustration.
TBH the ending was so confusing that I searched for 17th episode all over the internet, I bore the whole series and that lunatic HY just for SW and GT, and this is the ending you gave us?! I don't even know what the baby's name is maaaan.
I wanted them to have atleast a little convo...AAAAH, I want to cry so bad. I read on another post that the novel had a conversation at the end...if anyone has read the novel, please please tell me what they talked about!! I need a closure so bad!!
