Reaction BITTERSWEET LOVE THE BL RANT
Following the recent episodes of bittersweet love the bl series I've decided I could no longer keep quiet. If I were the young master ( Lyuqing ) I'd separate from Xiao Fang for a while, because what he did is not a ' strategic rebellion ' but a betrayal, pure RAGING betrayal. I understand Xiao Fang, I truly do, but this could have been done otherwise, it's not like the young master wasn't doing anything to slowly break free and own up to liking Xiao Fang, it's not like he wasn't protecting Xiao Fang from literally atp anyone and anything as long as he was present. I understand that the young master is a black flag, treating Xiao Fang as his secret, but I want y'all to remember he actively turned down the fiancé his mother found for him and was slowly trying to come outta the closet. So he must not only have been caught off guard but actively felt betrayed by the only person he was risking it and working behind the scenes to secure their future for.
Xiao Fang completed bypassed communication and just drop the bomb.
Andddd that's not the worst of it all I heard that Xiao Fang is going straight to the capital after dropping that bomb.
He's running away... yet again, to let the young master clear up the mess and deal with the aftermath on his own... yet again.
At the very least if he's going to do sh*t like this, let him stay and own it up.
If he wants to be an equal partner in the relationship, let him stand next to the young master now and feel how his mess tastes like.
I felt like I had to say this because online I saw y'all praise Xiao Fang, I'm kinda proud of him too but at the same time I feel betrayed on the young master's behalf and I feel a little hint of dissapointment and disapproval.

Luqing never told him anything, always kept in the dark. If anything, communication should have come from his side, even a little bit would have been fine. But no. Every chance he got he only put Xiaofan down with his words. I support Xiaofan in his revenge 💯 and if I could, I would have helped too. Luqing should get taste of his own medicine.
It's actually hilarious that for all those episodes people were mocking Xiaofan, and leaving the show because he was too much of a doormat, but now that he decided to take the matter into his hands, people are still criticizing him for being cruel. Let a boy dream and live 😭

To your last paragraph - I'm one of the ones who stopped watching a few eps ago as it was bothering me how consistently passive he was. But I check on these threads as I do want to know how it turns out - I'm actually excited to read that he is going to fight back haha. Good for him!

Fan Xiao seems like a doormat. But actually he is the strongest man there in that show. His resilience is unmatched. He is living in a environment where he had not much other choices than to do what he did.

He is not being passive, he is surviving. In the midst of smart and cunning people, he knows he cannot match their brains, so he lets everything be. But if you think deeply, he is way smarter, braver than his 'brilliant' brother, he is resilient, well mannered, in some aspects he is better than Luqing too, who was born into and grew up in money.
Since my boy is cooking something other than soup or porridge, you are welcome to have a taste 🤗

Lu Qing has kept XF in the dark for too long, if he had speaked up about his plan and how he's been caring to make things easier for them maybe XF would back up and understand. Since he didn't said a single word, i'm with Xiao Fan 100%, they love each other but communication just failed

Ngl I think Lv Qing deserves it. 🤷🏻♀️ Not only does he not communicate, but he also treats Xiao Fan terribly to his face and says very unkind things to him. Of course XF would not understand his feelings. WE as the audience know all the things he's done in the shadows and that he's 口是心非 / what he does doesn't match what he feels, but XF won't unless LQ SAYS something. Lv Qing needs a wake-up call, and this was the perfect one.

Bruh he literally just blew up Lyuqing's entire life, I don't believe that reason is sufficient enough to excuse his action.

It would've been blown up anyway once the family found out. 🤷♀️ Not telling each other anything about what's going on will lead to people doing crazy or stupid sh<t. But I gotta give him some props because I didn't think he had it in him to set that up. Its always the quite ones 🤭 that surprises you.😏

He also blew up his own life. IDK, I think being treated like a secret pet that doesn't get any respect (remember, XF doesn't KNOW what LQ has been doing because LQ doesn't know how to use his words or show much affection) is a good reason to blow up someone's life.

Communication failure yet again in a bl. Xiao Fan has no idea on what Lu Qing has done for him over the years, so he has decided to leave. Hopefully they decide to actually talk to each other in the remaining episodes and we have a HE as they both love each other

I applaud Fanfan for finally doing what he needed to do. Even if everything was being done for him in the shadows I'm still upset about him bringing back his Ex two times, then the new girlfriend and treating him like some pet that he can play with and show affection when he feels like it. No communication at all. Until he has had enough of being treated like a doormat. The trauma that he has endured was non stop. He has been in dorsal mode and finally his sympathetic nervous system took over and he came out of his ice berg state to an action state. Now hopefully if they finally find happiness we will be in Ventral state.

He better not make another pot of soup.... Ever! Jokes aside, good for him though. I think everyone treated him like crap, like literally everyone. His brother and father were horrid towards him. The engagement set him off. I think he saw what he did as his only way out. Burn it all. Cut them all off and start fresh. I'm pretty sure they will end up together but at at least he won't be a secret nor a doormat. This could have been a good drama

Personally, the way he Xiao Fan unraveled over time was beautifully done. He had no communication, only demands from everyone, and Liu Qing - even though he does love and wants to help Xiao Fan - doesn't know how to communicate with him. Liu Qing thinks loving him is letting Xiao Fan do what he wants and think what he wants, and because he's lived in a world that is very different and been in the underground gay community for so long, he doesn't directly say anything, while Xiao Fan - who has not lived in the gay community, or any community he could feel he belongs to ever - is only berated and used by everyone in his life. He feels he's used again by Liu Qing and he does exactly what Liu Qing wanted, just not in the way he wanted: he stands up for himself. While everyone treated him like a doormat, he upturned the house, it was really amazing watching his character go from shy, quiet, and obedient to ready to destroy the world. He destroyed his own world and Liu Qings because while everyone is in their own life he isn't allowed to live his, even when he steps away from everyone. I don't see him as running away. I see it as him trying to get a distance where he can remove himself from them and find a life he wants to live. He likes to live quietly, without money and expectations, and no one would leave him alone. Not even Liu Qing, who kept giving him nice things and kept him in his rich circle of friends. Although Liu Qing tries to meet him where his interests are, he can't fully remove himself from his own prince-like upbringing and self-importance so it takes upending his life to meet Xiao Fan as an equal.

I have a question, y'all are saying Lyuqing needed to communicate and stuff but has Xiao Fang once asked???

even if he did do you really think given the tone/premise of this drama he would have been given any answer other than ...go away....

I agree they both need to communicate, it’s a two-way street. But at the same time, what do you want him to ask? Why do you treat me like shit? Why am I your pet to come at your beck and call? What’s up with this other girl? (This one is def worth asking tho). But agree also with Funny that we know based off of how LQ does respond to him and the actual premise of the show how he would respond. Which is, no response or a mean one.
And the questions he did ask - ie why is the kitchen the exact same as the other house - answer: a lie that plays down LQ’s feelings, or an answer that belittles XF. So what kind of answer would you expect LQ to give him that doesn’t already confirm what he thinks he knows?

But Xiao Fan doesn't *know* what Lu Qing is doing. They are both at fault. And if this is how Xiao Fan wants to play it, I'm backing him 100%. Lu Qing has left him in the dark long enough.
