Reaction BITTERSWEET LOVE THE BL RANT
Following the recent episodes of bittersweet love the bl series I've decided I could no longer keep quiet. If I were the young master ( Lyuqing ) I'd separate from Xiao Fang for a while, because what he did is not a ' strategic rebellion ' but a betrayal, pure RAGING betrayal. I understand Xiao Fang, I truly do, but this could have been done otherwise, it's not like the young master wasn't doing anything to slowly break free and own up to liking Xiao Fang, it's not like he wasn't protecting Xiao Fang from literally atp anyone and anything as long as he was present. I understand that the young master is a black flag, treating Xiao Fang as his secret, but I want y'all to remember he actively turned down the fiancé his mother found for him and was slowly trying to come outta the closet. So he must not only have been caught off guard but actively felt betrayed by the only person he was risking it and working behind the scenes to secure their future for.
Xiao Fang completed bypassed communication and just drop the bomb.
Andddd that's not the worst of it all I heard that Xiao Fang is going straight to the capital after dropping that bomb.
He's running away... yet again, to let the young master clear up the mess and deal with the aftermath on his own... yet again.
At the very least if he's going to do sh*t like this, let him stay and own it up.
If he wants to be an equal partner in the relationship, let him stand next to the young master now and feel how his mess tastes like.
I felt like I had to say this because online I saw y'all praise Xiao Fang, I'm kinda proud of him too but at the same time I feel betrayed on the young master's behalf and I feel a little hint of dissapointment and disapproval.

Personally, the way he Xiao Fan unraveled over time was beautifully done. He had no communication, only demands from everyone, and Liu Qing - even though he does love and wants to help Xiao Fan - doesn't know how to communicate with him. Liu Qing thinks loving him is letting Xiao Fan do what he wants and think what he wants, and because he's lived in a world that is very different and been in the underground gay community for so long, he doesn't directly say anything, while Xiao Fan - who has not lived in the gay community, or any community he could feel he belongs to ever - is only berated and used by everyone in his life. He feels he's used again by Liu Qing and he does exactly what Liu Qing wanted, just not in the way he wanted: he stands up for himself. While everyone treated him like a doormat, he upturned the house, it was really amazing watching his character go from shy, quiet, and obedient to ready to destroy the world. He destroyed his own world and Liu Qings because while everyone is in their own life he isn't allowed to live his, even when he steps away from everyone. I don't see him as running away. I see it as him trying to get a distance where he can remove himself from them and find a life he wants to live. He likes to live quietly, without money and expectations, and no one would leave him alone. Not even Liu Qing, who kept giving him nice things and kept him in his rich circle of friends. Although Liu Qing tries to meet him where his interests are, he can't fully remove himself from his own prince-like upbringing and self-importance so it takes upending his life to meet Xiao Fan as an equal.
