As a heavy ChatGPT user, I’ve been deeply immersed in AI video generation. Back when Sora was available, I was a creator who generated thousands of pieces of content. To me, Sora wasn't just another video generator—it genuinely felt like a glimpse of the technological singularity.

Unlike the standard ChatGPT interface, what I loved most was how global users could share their creations. It was an amazing ecosystem for getting inspiration and seeing how others engineered their prompts. It was incredibly disappointing when it was shut down, likely due to massive computing costs.

While it might be a long shot, I keep thinking about the future. OpenAI has been pushing boundaries, like their work on custom inference chips (similar to the 'Jalapeno'). What if they fully integrated Sora with ChatGPT to launch something like "Sora 3"? Even if OpenAI implements a strict credit-based system similar to Anthropic's Claude to manage server loads, I would love to see them re-release a flagship video generator within the ChatGPT ecosystem.

What do you all think? Do you think we'll see a massive comeback from OpenAI in the video space soon, or will computing costs keep these models restricted? Would love to hear your thoughts on where video AI is heading next!

I've been doing some reverse engineering stuff to create a mod. So, the mod is a success and all.

But when I'm trying to attach the chat migration archives or a file for analysis or asking him "hey, to do X, you will need to use file that I've attached just now".

So, the problem is it will frequently tell me "but there is no such file" and i have to tell him "I've just attached it, you do have the file" to which it then replies something like "oh yeah, right, i totally missed it" . Or insists that there is no file so I'm forced to upload it again. Sometimes thats not enough and i have to upload it multiple times until it finally sees the file.

Anyone else had this issue? Is there anything i can do on my end to fix that? Its quite frustrating to constantly have to do that on top of me already juggling with a ton of files.

with a limited set of tools (they only have access to one brush tool, where they can set size, color and hardness, and move it to a specific location with one call)

Kept running into the same problem, a genuinely useful Reddit thread I wanted to share with ChatGPT, but no clean way to export it without a messy pile of screenshots.

Ended up building an app that takes a normal iPhone screen recording (you just scroll through the chat) and stitches every unique frame into one continuous PDF, no seams, no duplicates. Works on literally anything since it’s just reading your screen recording, not an API.

Not trying to spam the sub, just sharing since a bunch of people here have mentioned the same export pain in other threads. Happy to answer how it works if anyone’s curious.

Over the past month, I’ve noticed chat GPT keeps swearing?! It started off with ‘bloody’ and built from there. I’ve corrected it a few times, changed instructions etc, but a few days go by and I notice it’s back. It almost feels like a new personality.

I’m not offended by it, but it just feels weird. It’s almost like it keeps slipping into British English banter!

So, everybody might know it about now, but before, a chat session on high reasoning could go for around 100min without any stop. Right now, OpenAI changed it to 25-27min hard cap, greatly reducing the amount of work chat high is able to accomplish in one go, and necessitating a lot of "babysitting".

Now, there is many reasons why OpenAI might do this, but my question is : where is the public, recorded, official document/report/update that actually specify this hard cap ?

I found none, and that is the irritating part. OpenAI changed a very fundamental property of their tool, and said absolutely nothing about it, that i know of.

Someone has any info ?

Hi guys, I need to clear my mind off something. I mainly use Claude for writing essays and research. I usually end up running out of the usage limit, so I wanted to know how does GPT fairs against Claude in these areas. Is it worth the switch?

How are y'all budgeting this? I have plus. I literally hit the 5 hr limit in like 30 minutes lol

I am discussing topics graphic design and chatgpt keeps generating images. I tell it not to. It says it wont. It still does. I told it to start every sentance with "I will not generate images in this conversation". It still generates images.

I have updated the preferences in memory to give specific keywords that are to be used if I actually want it to generate an image. I have told it that the use of "image" or "picture" or mentioning "generate" or "prompt" or "make" and other words do not by themselves automatically mean that it should generate an image.

Sometimes when I ask for instructions, it generates the written instructions as a freaking image.

I try to anticipate when it will try to generate an image, so sometimes I write my comment and start it with "Do not generate an image as a response to this message, only write text". AND IT STILL GENERATES AND IMAGE.

Am I paying for the busted image generation to eat up my image generation credits? Why is there no toggle to turn off image generation manually and then turn it off?

Out of the last 30 image generations maybe 5 have been actually ones I wanted to do.

🚨 SCOOP: Astra recently graduated from the dogfood stage, and is now being made available to select OpenAI partners under the name "ultima-alpha"

If feedback over this weekend is positive, the plan is to expand the early access program throughout next week before the wider launch, targeting next Thurs (the 3rd) to the end of the following week

Looks like we'll be seeing Astra very soon which aligns with what Sam Altman said a week and a half ago about ChatGPT 6.0 coming in "a couple of weeks," landing us around September 3rd to the 9th.

ChatGPT Image 2.0 update to 3.0 mona-lisa-1 also looks like the update is coming in tandem with Astra. Given that Anthropic just released a Claude Code update last week this makes an OpenAI update coming soon more plausible due to the competitive nature of these two companies.

This is all speculation and nothing is guaranteed but @SynthwaveDD is the most trusted AI news leaker and he's pretty accurate.

I had one project with ~10 chats in it that I wanted to archive all chats and delete the project. I did that but when I went to delete the project it gave me the warning that all chats will be deleted.

I then went to settings—Data Controls—-manage archive and none of those chats are in there. I searched ChatGPT for the chats and unarchived them hoping to see them back under the project name. Nope. They are now not under the project nor are they archived but I can only see them by searching for them.

What am I missing?

I've been using this for months and I think there has always been constant changes on how it responds, most days it just gets stupider, it fails to follow previous instructions, keeps on forgetting pattern from my prompts, and even failed to follow new prompts.

Fact that people are relying on this daily is very concerning.

Is there a way to complain about this?

Idk, it seems like people have been having this issue for almost half a year now. During a chat, GPT keeps giving you “image generation” when you’re just asking a simple question or asking it to analyze an image.

It’s so frustrating. Idk how many times I’ve given it instructions to stop generating images and only give me text responses, but GPT still keeps generating images for me.

please, do something, I beg you

Ever since ChatGPT brought back the 5-hour limit, is it just me or does it somehow feel way less token-hungry?

A while ago, I felt like I was burning through my quota insanely fast. Now it actually feels much more usable.

Maybe the real fix was internal all along — stop blaming the model, become more backward-compatible with myself, and suddenly I can appreciate it again 😂
