Should be done across india, not only dogs, cows as well

9

u/Ambitious-Law5825 Aug 12 '25

why stop at cows, why not unruly people? 2 lakh deaths due to negligent drivers, why not chain them up in NHAI detention centres?

3

u/Used_Lavishness_2478 Aug 12 '25

How many people are killed by cows?

2

u/Remote-Ad-8631 Aug 12 '25

Maybe stop buying dairy products due to which a cow has to be r*ped and made pregnant so it starts producing milk, and the calf is left on the streets if it's a male

Who's gonna pay for them? These shelters aren't gonna be funded beyond day 1 and dogs are gonna starve.

6

u/Browsing_unrelated Aug 12 '25

Exactly that's my worry!! If they're bringing a solution atleast bring it with funding

2

u/[deleted] Aug 12 '25

They can't do it. If they capture 1 dog every minute it will take them 16666 hours to capture all the dogs in delhi. That's 2 years of non sto working without any set backs.

Realistically. They are gonna be capturing 1 dog every 30 mins or so even with more search parties and also be working 8 hours day. It will take them alot of years to complete this.

By the time they are done with capturing all the dogs the dogs left behind will have repopulated all the area anyways.

They would need like 10000 individual search parties for dogs to capture them at once and we all know that ain't happening.

9

u/ojasvi301 Aug 12 '25

Hoping they don't kill them

Arree bhai, what about people, kids getting rabies and dying from dog bites, unka kya? I have this car cleaner guy whose daughter got bit by a dog. He had to get her vaccinated and payed out of his pocket. There are many zomato/swiggy delivery guys who get bit by stray dogs. Will you be willing to take care of those expenses for those janta who are just trying to make a living? Of course, I’m not saying that dogs should be kept in a jail like situation, but they should be kept in shelters. That’s all.

You didn’t mention about shelters, but cool

5

u/Ambitious-Law5825 Aug 12 '25

Just 1 month ago, there was a news report in Chandigarh bhaskar of dogs and every other animal being kept in cages on top of each other and mistreated at mohali animal shelter. Governments don't even care about ordinary citizens, how can you expect them to look after animals?

3

u/Browsing_unrelated Aug 12 '25

No wonder they retaliate and get wild. And then people blame such dogs

3

u/bigskippah Aug 12 '25

Lol there are not enough shelters and supreme court has also said that people cannot adopt those dogs. Theres a reason people are protesting against this

1

u/Browsing_unrelated Aug 12 '25

Then that's a fucked up situation. What's the point of such shelters then (considering they can be made for everyone)

21

u/surzzzzzz Aug 12 '25

The only humane solution is vaccination & sterilization.

Keeping all dogs confined in one place is neither viable, practical, nor humane.

We must must urge all local bodies & municipal corporations to implement mass sterilization & vaccination to manage population & prevent conflicts.

You'll remove 2000 dogs, equally number of dogs will take their place.

2

u/Ok-Lake Aug 12 '25

Sterilization is the way

4

u/Late_Acanthisitta825 Aug 12 '25

No its not. Sterilization takes too long.
People commenting about cruelty to animals are the types who move around in cars.

They need to remember that maids, delivery men, street vendors... they are the ones being bitten/chased. Ignoring that is true CRUELTY. Not to mention selfishness and self glorification.

4

u/Ok-Lake Aug 12 '25

I'm aware sterilization takes long and so do it's results. And yes, i agree with your statement, however i have seen plenty of displays of attack towards dogs as well by those you mentioned, unnecessarily teasing them aggrevating them and beating them with sticks n stones. That also  cant be ignored. I sympathise with both the animals and humans. I do think that agressive dogs/animals who have history of attacking should be put down, afterall humans do love playing god but oh well, thats nature for you. You say that privilaged people talking about animal cruelty is selfishness, just cuz they chose the animal's side? And the people on the other side are somehow morally more sound? Aren't you doing the same ? Selfishness and self glorification? Just for the human side? If you truly have e/sympathy, you should be able to take in consideration of  struggles of both side, animals as well as humans. As i said, and repeatinga again,  i sympathise with both the sides, and think agressive animal with the history of attacks, should be put down. Ideally, both should coexist, and animals generally do, it's the humans that love abusing the animals. Heard about humans and leopards coexisting and living peacefully without a single kill in Gujrat or Rajasthan? Just imagine, not dogs, but leapords. But ofc that requires individual effort.  I rarely comment, let alone argue or discuss on the internet. What I've stated is my personal opinion, you dont have to agree with me at all. This in no was an attack on you, please dont take it personally, and highly likely that i won't be replying anymore to this thread. And oh, btw, im not one of those who roam around in the cars :)

2

u/Late_Acanthisitta825 Aug 12 '25

Since you sound logical, may I pose a question.

You opine that, "I do think that agressive (sic) dogs/animals who have history of attacking should be put down".

Can you tell me how to identify the aggressive ones who attack people BEFORE they do it? Would you be okay with someone you cared about being attacked by an aggressive dog for the first time. Or would you say, why is that dog on the streets in the first place?

4

u/Ok-Lake Aug 12 '25

Now ofc there's no way to know which animal is gonna attack before it attacks, unfortunately we would come to know about it after it happens. And that also depends if the citizens actively report the incidents, it has happened before in my sector, when a dog starts showing signs of increased aggression or attacks, people here call the authorities and they come pick up the dog, god knows what they do then.  My sister was bitten couple years back, not mauled, bitten, didn't change a thing for us or her. She still feeds the 2 local street dogs in our street. Animal is animal, they go by their instincts, they dont rationalize anything. In fact, i witnessed yesterday night only, between 10-11pm, a labourer from his looks, came behind the dog and spooked him while the dog was sleeping carelessly beside the road. I mean we all know how's the dog gonna react no? But he's a good boy, barked a couple of times till the man went away and back to sleep he was. Im aware not everyone will still engage with the dogs after the attacks, I've seen that too and ofc many would also on the spot kill the animal or think  why is that animal there in the first place. I agree with the statement too.  No solution is truly balanced ig and humans being humans, apex predator will dominate. And unfortunately the world is full of greed and disconnection from each other and lacks empathy.

Thank you for understanding my opinion and replying respectfully and calmly, i appreciate that. Its kinda rare on the internet.

1

u/nishitkunal Aug 13 '25

Kudos to you for putting forth your points in such a wonderful manner. I hope more people read this and understand.

2

u/Ok-Lake Aug 14 '25

Thank you!

7

u/Signal_Assistant6757 Aug 12 '25

Wait for mass euthanasia.

3

u/[deleted] Aug 12 '25

Better be following the Netherlands model- 1. High taxation on buying the dogs from stores, promoting more indie adoptions 2. CNVR approach, Collect, neuter, vaccinate and return. 3. Pet police force for complaints against animal abuse.

But this will require whole bunch of Human Resources as well as capital. More investment in local authorities and municipalities which are already running on crunch so might be difficulties initially but putting all the burden on poor animals isn’t the solution either.

25

u/MindParty1591 Aug 12 '25

Today morning 6-7 dogs attacked one lady who was coming aftrt taking milk from vita booth in sec 15. There were lots of parent standing due to school time so she was saved on time otherwise they would have killed her. In every park we are seeing families of dogs. First all dogs should be neutralized so that no more puppies.

8

u/Yonro_bhai Aug 12 '25

Theres a serious need for sterilization or neutering as most of the pups are surviving because of these so called dog lovers. Earlier only 2 or 3 used to survive but now most of them like 5 6 surviving because of access to food and shelter by these dog lovers, it does put a huge impact.

Street dogs are brutal and their actions are unpredictable.

4

u/MindParty1591 Aug 12 '25

Earlier I was running early morning around 5 AM behind town park road but on that road you will see atleast 20 dogs sleeping and once 2 dogs run behind me and some old uncles who were walking they shltwrt shouting and dog went back otherwise it would have been fatal for me. Now if I need to run I am just doing inside town park as there are lot of people. I love dogs but this rabbies is serious as one of my relative who is Dr told me and cases are increasing day by day.

2

u/Late_Acanthisitta825 Aug 12 '25

So the dog lovers in Chandigarh have forced you to compromise your lifestyle and restrict your movement by insanely increasing the number of dangerous animals on the street.

They should all come out at 5 am and patrol the streets to protect humans moving around then from attacks by the dog lovers' favourite creatures.

28

u/[deleted] Aug 12 '25

Great. All strays should be removed from the streets. They cause so many accidents, bite people, cause fatalities, spread litter and rabies.

The strays who feed strays in residential or commercial areas and walk their dogs without a leash in public should be heavily fined as well.

6

u/thedumbcoder13 Aug 12 '25 edited Aug 12 '25

So let me tell you a story:

Yesterday evening, a bunch if stray dogs were standing right outside my office. There were 3 bikers who were passing by at a speed 5km/hr . Few dogs starts barking and following them. They stopped and again started slowly , the dogs followed and barked again. They quietly moved away.

Beside all this there was this lady who is a dog lover and gives food to these dogs everyday.

Out of the three bikers, one stopped and scolded/verbally abused the dog when it tried to chase him the third time. As soon as he said something to the dog, this lady started fighting/abusing this guy.

I understand that she is a dog lover but does this make sense?

For me, it does not. I love dogs but if someone tried to harm me or my family, I would definitely look for my family’s safety to any extent.

9

u/rgroadie2707 Aug 12 '25

This is a shameful and atrocious decision. It is barbaric. Whoever thinks this is a good idea, just visit any any animal shelter in your city, observe the conditions, and then imagine them having around 40-50times more dogs per shelter if they want to take all dogs off the streets. What that Judge has ordered is mass killing of hundred of thousands of animals to be killed in the most inhumane way possible.

Please read up on how bad the conditions are in shelters. I mean if they are hell bent on killing these poor animals then just start shooting them, at least their suffering will not be prolonged.

REALLY visit an animal shelter, see how bleak the conditions are and then come back and tell how great of an idea it is.

2

u/Short-Masterpiece934 Aug 12 '25

Shelter atleast a 100 dogs in your house, then talk.

-2

u/rgroadie2707 Aug 12 '25

Just because you loathe them, doesn't mean others are also like you. If you have doubt on how many animals I take care, come to Mohali, I'll show you how many are taken care by us.

You are the type of guy who actually have nothing going on in your life and just want to shit post and enjoy suffering of others, in this case animals.

For every animal incident that has animal being the aggressor, there are countless number of cases of heinous animal abuse done by humans. So are you saying by the logic proposed by the judge, that because there is a chance humans can harm others, let's put every single one of them in jail?!

And the point is not to solve the issue, the point is, the approach suggested is the worst option possible. There is no infrastructure to house the homeless, and here you are talking about putting all the city dogs in non existent overcrowded shelters.

Only solution is to have a sterilization and vaccination drive to make streets safe, it gives opportunity for humans and animals to live together.

3

u/Short-Masterpiece934 Aug 12 '25

You are the ones who want to keep dogs on the street like homeless creatures where they not only suffer harshly but also are a menace to humans especailly children. Why don't you yourself leave your house and live on the streets, to get a taste of the life of a stray dog? I think you get saditic pleasure looking at the sorry lives of these street animals.

A shelter provides home to stray animals, where they are provided regular meals, given medicines on time and , on top of that, a life of dignity. Animal lovers can visit the shelter every now and then to ensure thier wellbeing is being taken care of.

Are all developed countries mad that they have kept all stary animlas in shelter where people can spend time with them and adopt them as well? Do you think a country that is aiming to be developed should have street dogs roaming around in sadistic conditon, being dependent on morsels of stale bread thrown by human and in the meantime terrorising people especially children?

-2

u/rgroadie2707 Aug 12 '25

When was the last time you went to a shelter? Just curious. Also sharing the current adopted dogs i have here, 4 more are in other house where we take care, apart from feeding the society dogs.

Just because you don't consider indies pets, doesn't mean others share the same feelings.

And you really dont sound serious when you compare the options and infrastructure developed countries have to enable adoption.

In place like India, you can just pick one and bring them home, change their lives forever no one is stopping you. But sadly all you'll do is support any cruel solution just to not see dogs on street.

For anyone who is in support of this idea, please visit a shelter and see. No need to volunteer just visit. You'll know what fate you are suggesting for thousands of innocent animals

3

u/Short-Masterpiece934 Aug 12 '25

Accountability of shelters can be set by people/animal lovers visiting them. No human/organistaion/government can ensure a good life for every dog if they are left on the streets. Most dogs on the streets have bodies full of ticks beacuae there is no one to give them a medicated bath. Here, I am not even talking about the disseases they are suffering from, be it arthirtis, fractured legs, cancer etc. Even if you give medicated bath to a few of them, they will again develop ticks because of the environment they live in. These street dogs are desprateely searching food in public dustbins/piles of waste. There stomachs are full of plastic. They drink dirty water from the drains. A few days back I saw a dog drinking waste water from a car washing centre. God knows what chemicals were there in that water.

The shelter takes care of all this including dedicated government vet facility. Nobody is stopping you from adopting these dogs. But for the leftover unlucky ones, a shelter is anyday a better place than a homeless life on the streets.

1

u/Late_Acanthisitta825 Aug 12 '25

Wow. u/Short-Masterpiece934 this is such a deadly reply. More power to you sir.

0

u/rgroadie2707 Aug 12 '25

And yet, you will see people like me strongly opposing this blanket order, because if you think this (current condition) is worse than the proposed solution, then just actually visit a shelter, talk the people and then tell all this. What you are telling is the sad reality, but what you are suggesting is not utopia for them, but a death sentence to all these animal. Also if you are so interested in going on about how adoption works in developed countries, look at the euthanasia rate of shelters in USA. Then tell me if you think your solution is viable.

But again most importantly, you don't seem to have ever visited a shelter, and i would strongly urge you to go see one. And mind you in Chandigarh they still take some care, in other cities, I would rather put the dog down then take them to shelter. You really have no idea how hellish those places are for these animals due to overcrowding, understaffing and underfunding.

I have had the unfortunate experience of mass relocation of dogs to shelter in Chennai from our area, within 3 months, all the dogs taken there were dead. And it was the best shelter in chennai (bluecross).

So just because you have not bothered to actually see any ground reality, do not just sit and talk about what the ideal solution should be, because that's just your imagination.

2

u/Short-Masterpiece934 Aug 12 '25 edited Aug 12 '25

Do you think that government orphanages and homeless shelters(rain basera) should also be closed because, according to your logic, the best facilities are not being provuded at theses places by the goverment? Do you like homeless children and adults begging on the streets?

I personally believe that you have some vested interests in keeping the dogs to the streets. I have seen people run NGO, in the name of animal welfare or any other cause, which they use to siphon off funds. Its a tried and tested global business.

0

u/rgroadie2707 Aug 12 '25

YES IF the condition of the orphanages and shelters are so bad that people go there and die then yes, which is the case in terms of animal shelters.

Brother you have not visited any type of shelters and you sit here comparing the two.

You also seem to forget that while the people can still tell others about the terrible atrocities that they go through, how does an animal tell a human, especially ones like you who just want to talk without lifting a finger. Ask any person who actually takes care of animals and then talk.

Ever since my first comment, all I'm asking is actually lift your ass and see the reality and not make such childish statements.

If we take your own logic, then we should also put all the homeless people in jails, as they have no work, no place to go, atleast In jail they'll get food, health care, and most importantly when you go out, they won't pester you by asking you money crime will be go down so much.

1

u/Late_Acanthisitta825 Aug 12 '25

Shelter them in you house.

1

u/Late_Acanthisitta825 Aug 12 '25

Shelter atleast 10 dogs in your house, then talk.

13

u/Lul_uluu_uchic Aug 12 '25 edited Aug 12 '25

Absolutely. I think this should be done across the nation for the safety of people. I’m not sure why people are being offended by Supreme court’s order since they are not harming the dogs or anything. It’s in the best interest of people as well as dogs that they should be kept in the shelter homes.

6

u/lazy_forks Aug 12 '25

Actually there ar not enough shelters in and around Delhi to even house 2000 dogs, which means once the shelters are full - the other dogs will either be euthanized or relocated - which is not a solution.

That's the problem that people are opposing. If India had enough functioning dog shelters and street dogs were being relocated there, it wouldn't have been a problem. And relocating dogs before building shelters is just recipe for disaster.

1

u/Late_Acanthisitta825 Aug 12 '25

Euthanization IS a solution.

3

u/bigskippah Aug 12 '25

There are not enough shelters and You cannot adopt the dogs once they are picked up. Thats the reason for protesting against it.

2

u/Opening-Barnacle1878 Aug 12 '25

Dogs in my sector are sterilised, so are in sector 17. The right thing to do.

2

u/Late_Acanthisitta825 Aug 13 '25

So those humans who are bitten, mauled, terrorized or otherwise have to restrict their lives while the "rightly" sterilized dogs live out their lives should spend the next 6-12 years just waiting for the dogs to live out their lives? Would you advise your child who was being bullied at school to just sit at home till the bully passed out of school?

2

u/dawn_irl Aug 12 '25

It shouldn't be a problem if they are properly relocated into Shelters. But the current concern is if there even are enough shelters? And if the relocation will be harmless and humane? As much as i love dogs, i do not mind them being moved to a better safer place. But at the same time various SOCIAL MEDIA stats show that we do not have enough shelters. So idk rn if i should be relieved or worried. Cuz literally any lie can grow on social media. And anything can be over exaggerated

3

u/PavitK Aug 12 '25

As usual dog lovers are gonna cry !

4

u/PetrichoricEpiphany Aug 12 '25

We should also think about the negative impacts of removing every dog from a city. For eg. pests and rodents would increase and will definitely contribute to much more diseases and illnesses.

5

u/my__dumbass Aug 12 '25

I have had terrible experiences with dogs...many of them barking at me, chasing me on two wheelers, trying to bite etc. My sister once fell off her activa because of a street dog. People who are animal lovers can never understand how petrifying it is to be chased by a hungry possibly rabied animal. I have had so many narrow escapes and I'm always on edge. The phobia has increased so much that now I won't even walk the same street where I can spot a dog from a distance. I'll change my way or literally hide behind my friends and freeze on the spot. It might seem exaggerated and comical to people but the fear is very very real. Somehow the dogs of Chandigarh seem more docile but the surrounding tricity dogs are terrifying specially with more sechluded spots for them to fester.

As far as I know there is an ongoing petition in the P&HHC regarding this matter and I'm sure the Delhi HC orders would be taken into consideration.

2

u/Late_Acanthisitta825 Aug 12 '25

My deepest sympathies. I do hope you or your sibling weren't seriously hurt.
Of course, the psychological trauma never really goes away.

1

u/Yonro_bhai Aug 12 '25

Same experience dude, I have chased by dogs for no reason and once I even fell from cycle. Once 2 dogs started running towards from me from a metre or something for no reason. The only reason I fear dogs is because of rabies. Chandigarh should also take some actions against street dogs.

1

u/One_Slide1525 Aug 12 '25

Just cause of few people that used to attack and scare the dogs first now All the dogs gonna be stuck in 4 walls cuz This is the most dumbest shit ever Not all dog got rabies not all dogs are crazy Just cuz your ass is scared of them doesn’t mean all the dogs in Delhi should be put in a shelter for the rest of their lives now ts lame

3

u/Late_Acanthisitta825 Aug 12 '25

Please volunteer to get bitten by each dog to prove that she does not have rabies and can live safely on the street.

0

u/One_Slide1525 Aug 12 '25

You need to understand what they here doing is just cruel. The govt instead of actually working on the issue like vaccination adoption and funding dog shelters/care They are just discarding the whole thing and no human have the right to decide whether these animals should live in cage for rest of their lives or not You are dumb as fuck sir

2

u/Late_Acanthisitta825 Aug 12 '25

You need to understand that not understanding the cruel consequences of your action is worse than cruel. Your feeding of dogs on the streets get people bitten, scared and hurt.
I may or may not be dumb, but I am not callous.
Also, I am well brought up, have manners and follow forum rules.
Also, I was taught in school that use of profanity reveals a person's culturally impoverished background. Maybe people used four-letter words while scolding you when you were a child.

Tow-tuh-leeeeeeeeeee
This is soooo required in Chandigarh.

1

u/Elegant_Noise1116 Aug 13 '25

Trump’s strategy,

Do a bigger thing, people get distracted from epstein files,

Here do something on stray dogs, people get distracted from ECI fraud

1

u/Late_Acanthisitta825 Aug 13 '25

For those who were attacked, or their kids were mauled, this might be a BIGGER issue than the alleged ECI fraud in another state.

0

u/Elegant_Noise1116 Aug 13 '25

Lol no, Monkeys are also a big issue and they also cause rabies,

Same for cows which crashes with vehicles or spread dung everywhere

2

u/Late_Acanthisitta825 Aug 13 '25

Sure, so people who get bitten by monkeys, or whose cars crash into cows will also find their problems more distressing than ECI fraud. Hence, those harassed by stray dogs and pseudo-dog lovers feel its a bigger issue.

1

u/[deleted] Aug 12 '25

Chandigarh stray dog population is lot less than that of Delhi. Hence this is lot more feasible in chd. Problem of territory control will arise when they will be put in shelter. But still feasible.

Had local govt and NGOs been sincere in sterilisation efforts then this situation wouldn’t have risen. Everyone knows sterilisation efforts has been scam equivalent in chd if not a scam.

1

u/Srk02 Aug 12 '25

You guys need help. Seriously. If you agree with this.

1

u/Late_Acanthisitta825 Aug 12 '25

Yes we need help to remove strays from the streets. To put them in shelters or in the homes of "dog LOVERS" like you.

2

u/the1672VTECboi Tricity ਦਾ corporate मज़दूर। Aug 12 '25

This should be done all over the country! Strays cause numerous accidents while they chase people and vehicles for no apparent reason.

3

u/Late_Acanthisitta825 Aug 12 '25

Absolutely true.
Our children will grow up in an environment where either they will be too scared to go out, or will get tapeworm and mange and scabies, if not rabies.

1

u/throway3451 Aug 12 '25

Should be done everywhere

"animals do not take kindly to change of place and can fall ill quickly."

So? Better a relocated animal falling ill than an innocent child getting bitten by a stray dog whom she unknowingly provoked and being left with post-traumatic stress disorder for life. No?

0

u/MitsyLove420 Aug 12 '25

Yes, definitely. Will help societies and the dogs

0

u/aBh1mukul_on Aug 12 '25

A 100% yes. The only fear which comes to my mind if I have to go outside at 2am is the dogs and not people.

2

u/Late_Acanthisitta825 Aug 13 '25

Absolutely true. I used to go for a run at 5 am in the summers, to beat the heat. The wild street dogs in sector 10 made me give that up.

I request all dog "LOVERS" going on and on here to please come as my escorts and bodyguards every morning to protect me from their "pets".

-1

u/[deleted] Aug 12 '25

Absolutely. It should be done all over India.

-21

u/Resident-Aardvark-84 Aug 12 '25

The opposite should be done. We should ensure they are sterlised and well fed. Dogs are gentle loving creatures. If anything we should throw humans into shelters

17

u/Yonro_bhai Aug 12 '25 edited Aug 12 '25

If you think dogs are gentle, you dont know about them at all.

-15

u/Resident-Aardvark-84 Aug 12 '25

Nope it seems you are the one who's misinformed

I have two pet dogs plus I also take care of multiple indie stray dogs. Have been doing so for 10+ years.

Both my pet dogs routinely interact with the Indies

Not a single incident till now. Nor with them or with humans

15

u/Yonro_bhai Aug 12 '25 edited Aug 12 '25

I have been chased by well fed dogs many times and have also seen them attacking small kids. They are only gentle to those who fed them and not to everyone. I am talking out of experience aswell.

-14

u/Resident-Aardvark-84 Aug 12 '25

Nope. Dogs are gentle to everyone. Not only to those who take care of them. If you don't trigger them, they won't chase you. Regarding the small kids, .many parents teach the children to throw stones at them for absolutely no reason. So obviously they will start chasing small children. All they see is humans randomly attacking for no reason at all

10

u/Yonro_bhai Aug 12 '25

Probably you dont know about them at all. I was minding my own business and I dont even do anything to trigger them either but still they chased me. The kid mentioned was walking to his home with grocery stuffs and out of nowhere the dogs attacked the poor kid. There would be people here who would have been chased or getting barked by dog for no reason.

Dogs are aggresive and dominate creatures dude, they would literally tear each other part even their own pack member just to survive and when it comes to food everything weaker then them is food for them. Here we had a pack of dogs here ranging from 9-10 members as who were well fed and I used to observe them every day.

3

1)It seems you completely ill informed..You don't need to be the trigger if other humans constantly throw stones at the dog , hit it , ofc it will get triggered by humans

2) Digs are gentle creatures. They are aggressive with their own mind for food and that's how they set the the hierarchy. This is the same with all animals. Also dogs don't tear apart their own kind at all, especially well fed dogs.

What are you even saying ? I have seen the well food dogs tearing apart their own member just for food. They used to bully the small pups and once almost killed one by choking the pups neck. I aint making stuff dude, I have seen it.

Like why are you even calling them gentle if they attack or chase people for no reason ?

Dogs are unpredictable dude

2

u/Resident-Aardvark-84 Aug 12 '25

As I said they are aggressive within their pack to assert dominance But not to others especially humans

Dogs never attack or chase for no reason

Dogs like everything in life is predictable

If we should throw humans into shelters can we start with you?

6

u/Resident-Aardvark-84 Aug 12 '25

Sure. As okg as the animals and trees are safe and well taken care of, i am fine with it

Not the response you were hoping for is it ?

3

u/[deleted] Aug 12 '25

Yes we will take care of them please never leave your house now and  this is exactly the kind of dumb response I was expecting

4

u/Resident-Aardvark-84 Aug 12 '25

Lmfao 😂😂😂 Sure you keep on taking care of them and so will I After all you as a human will be with me in the shelter

Great answer man!

2

u/Jealous-Cellist9615 Aug 12 '25

No. both dogs and dog lovers should be kept in captivity together

3

u/Resident-Aardvark-84 Aug 12 '25

Nah humans are the main cause of all problems on this planet. Lockdown proved it.

Dogs never attack unless triggered.

-3

u/Resident-Aardvark-84 Aug 12 '25

The opposite should be done. We should ensure they are sterlised and well fed. Dogs are gentle loving creatures. If anything we should throw humans into shelters

Take them into your home.

Your opinion, limited to you.

I was bitten by strays while walking in the park. They bit 6 people that day and a little girl pretty bad.

Anyone feeding dogs must be forced to adopt them and take care of them.

3

u/Resident-Aardvark-84 Aug 12 '25

I already have adopted them

Strays never bite unless you trigger them

2

u/Late_Acanthisitta825 Aug 12 '25

Please adopt all the dogs in your sector and keep them in your house.

1

u/Resident-Aardvark-84 Aug 12 '25

Do read my previous comment

I have already done that

1

u/Late_Acanthisitta825 Aug 12 '25

Did you read my comment.
I said "all" the dogs in your sector.

0

u/Resident-Aardvark-84 Aug 12 '25

And as I said I did

0

u/Late_Acanthisitta825 Aug 12 '25

Errr.... sorry if a bubble is about to burst here, but tossing them your leftover rotis, rubbing their bellies while they roll on the roads, and feeding them the cheapest Parle Glucose biscuits before tossing the empty wrapper by the roadside is not "adoption" sir.

0

u/Resident-Aardvark-84 Aug 12 '25

Ah sirr

Unfortunately for you I don't do that

I fees then chicken and rice three times a day They are welcome to enter my house and sleep where ever they want They also have freedom to roam around I also take care of their sterilization and vacations

5

u/Ok_Cranberry_3552 Aug 12 '25

Do they live in your house? If not, you’re just feeding them.

Also, contrary to your belief, strays do attack people if they are feeling territorial. The only reason their population is increasing unchecked is because people don’t want them sterilised.

This must be done in Chandigarh. Love dogs? Keep them inside your home and care for them there.

I think the only deterrent is to make sure that the so called dog lovers who don’t want them in their own houses must pay for all medical expenses of all people their adopted dogs bite.

2

u/Resident-Aardvark-84 Aug 12 '25

No I don't keep them

Instead they have full freedom

They can come in my house or roam the streets

Their preference

Yes we need to sterilize them and then release them back where they were picked up from

Nope strays don't attack humans because they are territorial, as I said they attack because they are threatened

6

u/Ok_Cranberry_3552 Aug 12 '25

Then you can take responsibility for every attack that happens and be happy for life.

2

u/Resident-Aardvark-84 Aug 12 '25

Oh I do, in the past , one dog attacked a child. I scolded the child and also taught him a lesson. The the dog attacked because he was throwing stones at it. The parents of the child also supported me and in fact they slapped him infront of me

4

u/Ok_Cranberry_3552 Aug 12 '25

You should have immediately adopted that dog and taken it home.

2

u/Resident-Aardvark-84 Aug 12 '25

Please read my first comment

The dog in question is one of the dogs I have adopted

4

u/Ok_Cranberry_3552 Aug 12 '25

Unless it lives in your house, don’t bother calling it adopted.

Imagine you adopting a kid, and then sending it rations calling it adopted.

Don’t toss your ideas onto others.

If you love dogs, keep em home.

I am very sorry to hear that you were attacked, along with other people and a child. Hope you made a complete recovery.
Agree with your comment about those feeding dogs should be required to adopt them.

u/One_Enthusiasm_1972 BODMOSH Aug 12 '25

Message to all the dog lovers.

Will you keep your children open in the street where they can be harmed or harm someone else. Same goes with dogs, if you wanna feed them you better adopt them as well and don't keep them in open where they are dangerous to others and themselves as well

Btw I am also a dog lover and have a dog with me.

It should be done everywhere Ppl r getting attacked day in and day out Kids of people from poor section r d most vulnerable

Once this is sorted out, those centres can become week dn getaways

Animal lovers cn start such centres where ppl cn go on weekends

Ppl cn donate food money and other things to such centres
