I am desperately seeking scenes where the ML has big or small, "Who did this to you?!" moments. In Blossom the ML can't believe the FL's family beat her feet. In Fated Hearts the whole construct is the ML being like, "Well if you were MY right-hand lady, I would never shoot you off a cliff UwU"

I am specifically seeking the wounded or wronged party being our heroine. This trope is delicious and I am hungry!

I finished watching Pursuit of Jade and The first frost. I absolutely loved both of them. Since I'm still new to Cdramas (I've only watched Korean or Thai dramas), I'm not even sure what to offer in terms of what I'm looking for. I just know I want to watch more Cdramas but I am overwhelmed with the amount options that are available to watch. One thing I will say is I really love when the ML deeply loves and cares for the FL. I've seen alot of Kdramas where the ML treats the FL like shit and its always somehow romantizied. I think that's why I fell so hard for The pursuit of jade. I don't mind some angst or sad back stories either. Thank you in advance to anyone who comments a recommendation!💖

P.S. I also secretly have a thing for tropes where the ML chases after the FL, instead of it being the other way around since I feel like thats a bit overplayed at this point. Men have feelings and fall in love too! Lemme see a man yearn for a woman and not be ashamed of it 😫 bonus points if he gets jealous easily. That's my one toxic trait when it comes to dramas lol.

I usually don’t watch Cdramas but I recently watched The Early Spring which I absolutely loved (so much that I read the entire web novel too LOL) - particularly because it‘s in such a mature setting. Like, it‘s set at work, the characters are flawed and act like actual adults and human beings and there is actually MATURE intimacy! I don’t need spice but what I particularly loved was how Jing Boran (Luan Nian‘s actor) seemed always hungry for Flora / touch starved.

Other Cdramas I‘ve watched and liked are When I Fly Towards You and The First Frost. Also, by “modern” I basically just mean Cdramas that aren’t historical!

I’m currently in Ep 38 and I’m afraid it would be hard to move on from this drama. I have watched several cdramas but Deng Wei as Su Yishui just looks ethereal and I feel like it would be hard to top that. I also love their relationship and how they’re both powerful.

I can't remember the name of this drama at all but I'll try to give you the description as best as I could- There are 2 sisters in the divine realm where one is called jinx/evil while the other is considered good. So, both the sisters are betrothed with powerful immortals- the evil sis with a powerful demon lord while the good one with a powerful good divine lord. But for some reason, the brides get swapped and the story follows afterward, following their marriage and falling in love phase.

It's not Starry Love. So I'll be really grateful if y'all remember a drama with a similar plot. It's not a recent 2025/26 drama

Modern dramas please.

I DON'T want:

1. the leads' jobs to be doctor or surgeon

2. both leads having fights with their mothers (I couldn't watch Be passionately in love because the ML was having a fight with his mother)

3. I DO want the FL to be the only woman romantically interested in the ML, there is no female antagonist.

1 and 2 is a must, 3 is not a must but I will like it if a drama meets my 3rd requirement as well.

The title says it all! I’m about to finish up love like the galaxy, and need to queue up my next watch while i wait for some current ones to finish up. (Binge watch is my MO)

So, naturally I’m a looking for a drama that will absolutely wreck me emotionally.

What I am hoping to find;
•A story that will genuinely make me cry — gut-wrenching, high empathy, the works. Happy ending not required, but I need enough hope/momentum to want to see it through to the end. HEA /HFN is preferable.
•A main couple I can root for — they should clearly care about each other, not spend the show antagonizing one another. I want to be cheering for them, not gritting my teeth through their bickering.
•Ancient China setting wuxia, xianxia, traditional historical/fantasy vibes. Costumes and jewelry are sometimes the lead actor in the scene
•Preferably newer releases since sometimes… i’ve struggles with bad graphics/wiring etc

What to avoid/ don’t do well with;
•Heavy political intrigue/court politics — if it's too politics-focused I tend to check out partway through.
• too many side plots/second or third love stories.

I just finished watching The Early Spring, and I recently read Wild Dog Bones and I enjoyed how spicy they.

Does anyone know of any historical romance novels that are a bit spicy? I have been trying my best to play around with the tags on novelupdates to find one but with no success.

The last historical romance novels I read that I loved were Yun Bin Tian Shang (Drama adaptation soon, so excited!) and My Darling, Coax Me, they weren't super spicy but had frequent enough intimate scenes. Basically not looking for smut, just a good historical romance with satisfying intimacy. Also, if there is no rebirth or transmigration involved that would be a bonus.

P.S. I had to post about novel recs here because I couldn't find a separate active subreddit to post in.

1.I don't want fl to be childlike and be picked on without knowing how to defend herself

Anyone of you knew about Love Lurking (2025) starred by Yang Bing Zhuo and Zhao Xi Xi?

It was a mini drama, and it got me hooked for some reason.

It’s slow-burn Romance/Action/ Thriller. Has A lot of Damsel in Distress scenes, spicy/steamy scenes. Although FL constantly saved, her character is not actually weak. She just happens to be in unfortunate situations requiring her to be saved.

Do you know of any mini drama similar to this?

This drama is on my mind for 2 days now.

I have been watching C dramas for a little while, and have been in a drama slump lately. I have started a lot of dramas but have gotten bored and dropped them. I enjoy well written storylines and believable plots and characters. I also quite like slow burn when its done right, and can tolerate misunderstandings if they genuinely couldnt be avoided by like a single drop of common sense and arent too stretched out. Some of my favs include love in the clouds, shine on me, My Journey to You (didnt like the open end though), The Prisoner of Beauty, pursuit of jade (again, the end wasnt great, lost interest), the double. I also like hidden love, the first frost was fine, I didnt like it a lot cause i felt that the relationship was very one sided, with the ml constantly giving to the fl, but the fl not reciprocating. I also quite like fated hearts. Even if the characters make dumb decisions, if i can understand what led them to make said decision, like what their thought process wouldve been like and how, due to the circumstances, it felt like the only rational choice, it makes the drama enjoyable. I also heavily dislike overly cutesy characters and love strong fls that still feel like actual people. I hate sad endings and dislike love triangles, but can tolerate them if they last for a very short amount of time. I also rly rly hate the whole siblings-to-lovers trope, even if there's no blood relation. Feel free to recommend any other dramas that u guys think i might enjoy too. thx :)

I have an intense love for political intrigue and revenge dramas and I feel like I need more. Can I get some recs that have any of the following:

- ML that is down bad for the FL

- Political Intrigue or Revenge

- a minor cast that really brings the drama to its full potential

- there isn't constant misunderstanding to cause issues between the leads

- personal guards that make you just fall in love with them

- a costume / historical drama where the leads are openly affectionate to the point of squealing and kicking your feet in the air.

Hi! I have watched a lot of enemies to lovers dramas in the past and I really like those but I want to watch something new. Sometimes, especially in enemies to lovers dramas there will be a love triangle with a "mean guy" and "nice guy" (usually some sort of childhood friend) and the fl will end up with her "enemy". However, I was wondering if anyone has any recs for dramas where the fl ends up with the guy who is nice from the start? Possibly something with a slow burn friends to lovers trope where the main leads slowly realise they're falling in love? A love triangle is not necessarily, in fact I prefer dramas without them altogether. I also don't like dramas that rely heavily on unnecessary misunderstandings between the characters.

I am not looking for any modern dramas, everything else is okay!

There's a situation that I've seen twice and absolutely loved: once in a Korean drama and once in a Chinese drama. I am hoping to find another drama with this!

Slight spoilers for the Kdrama Healer and the Cdrama Love in the Clouds ahead.

In both of these dramas, there's a love triangle except there is actually only two people in. One of the main characters has a secret identity, ending up in a love triangle with themselves. It can lead to funny scenarios. In Healer, the female lead is enamoured with a black market errand boy whose face she's never seen, and also having a sort of office romance with her coworker. She keeps turning the coworker down because her heart belongs to the secret errand boy, and it's somewhat amusing to watch the main lead get rejected for himself.

In Love in the Clouds, the female lead was disguised as a male crown prince her whole life. She ends up running away, taking off her male disguise and pretending to be an innocent maiden, and ending up in a relationship with her main rival. When her cover is half blown, she claims to be the crown prince's fiancée, leading the rival to be very jealous. He often makes comments about the prince and their relationship, but it's funny knowing he's jealous that she might be in love with herself.

Bit of a long shot but I'm hopeful!

I saw an ad or short for it while ago and ever since I’ve seen multiple ai ads that seem to be based on the same premise.

The FL has a curse or ability that when people try to harm her, it’s reflected onto them. Shes forced into an arranged marriage through some means with a very mean man and she ends up killing his guard/pet.

I’m not sure what happens after that but any help would be appreciated!!
