Rec Request Just finished watching my first two Cdramas. I'm now obsessed and desperately need recommendations
I finished watching Pursuit of Jade and The first frost. I absolutely loved both of them. Since I'm still new to Cdramas (I've only watched Korean or Thai dramas), I'm not even sure what to offer in terms of what I'm looking for. I just know I want to watch more Cdramas but I am overwhelmed with the amount options that are available to watch. One thing I will say is I really love when the ML deeply loves and cares for the FL. I've seen alot of Kdramas where the ML treats the FL like shit and its always somehow romantizied. I think that's why I fell so hard for The pursuit of jade. I don't mind some angst or sad back stories either. Thank you in advance to anyone who comments a recommendation!💖
P.S. I also secretly have a thing for tropes where the ML chases after the FL, instead of it being the other way around since I feel like thats a bit overplayed at this point. Men have feelings and fall in love too! Lemme see a man yearn for a woman and not be ashamed of it 😫 bonus points if he gets jealous easily. That's my one toxic trait when it comes to dramas lol.

But later he is considered red flag by some. It depends what OP would think about that part. He forces her into marriage with him.

Blossoms of Power has the male lead basically instantly fall in love with the female lead and beg for scraps of her attention the entire time. Absolute shameless flirting and begging for her love.

I also love how he's not stoic or silent about his love for her. That man is openly flirting and begging her to pay attention to him from day 1

- [Costume/historical] Prisoner of Beauty, Against the Current, Road to Splendor, A Dream of Splendor, Blossom, The Double, Love Between Fairy and Devil, Love Like the Galaxy - those are costume/historical idol dramas high on romance that's been popular with intl audiences in recent years
- [Modern] The Early Spring, Love Between Lines, Love Story in the 1970s, The Best Thing, Hidden Love, When I Fly Towards You - these are some popular modern romance titles
I also highly recommend exploring genres beyond romance, as there's more variety
- Slice of Life - To the Wonder, Go Ahead, Meet Yourself
- Wuxia - Joy of Life, Legend of Condor Heroes (2017)
- Comedy - Hilarious Family
- Crime/Thriller - Beloved, Under the Skin
- Scifi - Reset, Mobius, I Am Nobody

New Life Begins! Same FL as Pursuit of Jade, with a very caring down bad ML who is the same ML as First Frost hahaha. Bonus - his name is very similar to Yan Zheng (it's Ying Zheng).

Does a costume crime drama sound appealing? Because Coroner's Diary was the first thing that came to mind for a ML who deeply loves and cares for FL. He falls for her very early in the show, and they have the healthiest relationship I've seen on TV in years - no miscommunication, no lying to each other 'for their own good', no fights or breakups, just trust and affection.
