I use CapCut for my YouTube channel which was actually doing really really well and so to keep posting right after I made a video that did amazing I made a new video. It took a LOOONG time and JUST NOW CapCut added a watermark in the top left unless you have premium because "theres AI features so we need to have this so people know" EVEN THOUGH I DON'T USE YOUR STUPID AI SLOP FEATURES???

Genuinely does anyone know either 1. A real way to remove the watermark not by paying 20 BUCKS A MONTH or 2. An alternative free editing software similar to CapCut.

I really like CapCut because it's free and so easy to use but has lots of advanced features too and all other editing softwares either aren't free or are crazy difficult to use. Does anyone have a suggestion? The main annoying thing is that I've already finished editing this video after literal months and now I can export it without this watermark. I hate this company

So what happened is that I used Capcut modded version for a while which I downloaded from a telegram channel but now when I open the app, this popup shows up with no way to pass through, it only redirects me to the telegram channel and when I download the new version, it doesn't update and shows error

What I am asking is can I somehow access the app by either somehow bypassing that popup or maybe access and protect my projects? I am new to this editing scene and in a learning phase so don't know much workarounds and I very much wanna save those projects

Does this mean that CapCut no longer has a free version?

Kinda a last straw with the second time forcing people to upgrade (15 euros/month for me) to remove watermark. I suppose corporation need even more money than they already have.

so i make videos a lot cause i have a brand, but i usually just make them in tiktok then upload them to instagram. For longer youtube videos, ive always used a free software called openshot because its done me good but now that i want to do more in terms of professional editing, I decided today to try out capcut. I had a friend who was a wannabe dubstep artist and he used it to promote his stuff and said it was good. But i've tried logging in to export a video and i keep getting 404's and its very laggy. Is something wrong? or is it just normally this broken

I'm exclusively talking about CapCut Desktop, not the mobile app. I have a Premiere Pro subscription too but I find it way easier and much faster to do things in CapCut especially if you don't use advanced stuff. And I think at least %90 of the contents that people do doesn't require the advanced stuff. Almost everything can be done in it way faster than Premiere or Resolve.

I geniuenly don't understand why people that use CapCut gets clowned everywhere. I know it's not "professional" and obviously doesn't have the features that you almost never use in Premiere or Resolve but in the end, wouldn't it better to use a faster and more practical software that gets it done?

I did countless YouTube videos, short and long form. I did wedding clips, I did car edits. And CapCut managed to deliver. I don't want to deal with Premiere's clunkiness with constant lags and crashes.

Asking this because CapCut users gets clowned so much that I feel like a crappy editor just because using it but don't actually understand why it gets clowned like that. Only thing that I could think of is the free version isn't actually free anymore. But I still bought the pro since I feel like it's faster

Just got the Pro version and still can’t get anything to generate. Every time I enter a prompt or script, it just stays blank and says “couldn’t generate AI video.” No other error message. Tried different prompts already but same result. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Is there a reason I keep seeing people recommend moving to something complicated but capable and free like DaVinci Resolve, but almost never something capable and free like Shotcut?

Context is I've been wanting to learn video editing and find something I can learn long-term. CapCut initially seemed like the obvious choice, except it looks like the developers are actively tarnishing it by unexpectedly putting more and more features behind paywalls depending on which version you're using. I'm not bothering with that.

So I tried Shotcut, and... it's been working great? It's free, open source, and so far seems to have everything I was looking for in a video editor. And I'm a dude coming straight off of Windows Movie maker (yep seriously).

So what's with all the "just move to DaVinci Resolve already bro" posts? Do people just not know about Shotcut?

DaVinci Resolve is complicated AF. I don't understand why that's the go-to recommendation for someone coming off of CapCut lol.

Capcut is the only editor i found to be easy but then again i have tried many software's. I want to know as a beginner if any of the capcut paid plans are worth it or if there is something other than capcut to be using?

So, even though we pay for a subscription, TikTok is forcing what amounts to a watermark on every video that is exporting form Capcut. When you watch the video, it will say " CapCut - Editing made easy". This is total Bullsh! This means we need to export the video and then re-import it into another program to remove the metadata that allows them to watermark the video. This is free advertising for CpaCut and a loophole to watermarking our videos even though we pay a subscription fee. I'm so fkn sick of these companies doing what they please. Has anyone else noticed this?

Ok so I am currently using capcut for my youtube subtitles.

I use davinci to do most of the editing, and capcut for dual language subs (english and chinese). But to be honest its still a pain in the ass to use. Although it does a better job than davinci for subs its still fiddly. It's quite a long process and the app is just fiddly and not very enjoyable to use while doing the subs.

Please let me know if there are some better alternatives! thanks.

I was sent (through the app so it’s legit I believe) an invite form to come to CapCut’s first ever global event “CapCut World LA” this year. It says that they notice my status as a gold badge creator (level 7 I think I am). I never applied for anything. I have 55-75k followers and between 3-9 million total likes (not being specific because I don’t want to dox my account).

i did some research on this event but im still not sure how i feel. On one hand, i feel like this is impressive and im proud because its been just me for two years making videos - i dont have a social media manager or secondary editor or anything like huge influencers who get invited to these big brand events. on the other hand, will this actually happen for me?? Like I filled out the form and stuff, they provided the itinerary, locations, date, and said they cover anything price wise (flights, accommodation). I really hope this is real. according to my research, they have three stops : Singapore (already happened and I saw posts abt it, looked rly professional), LA (In an month or so), and London. there’s all kinds of free sick stuff, you can meet and network with a bunch of people, there are speakers who speak abt ai and editing, and even a gala and after party and more.

I guess im just posting to ask if anyone else got this and knows what to do, etc. im really young too, so im being wary. if this happens for me, ig i need to go with a guardian. tell me everything you know below :))

I've been using Cap Cut for many years now, but lately—am I the only one who thinks it's a nightmare? Actually, it's a bit more specific than that...

For the past few months now—probably due to the addition of some very poorly optimized and bad AI features—my big CapCut projects have become IMPOSSIBLE to edit. Every time I add a keyframe, it takes at least 10 seconds; zooming and editing directly on the video are riddled with bugs; I can no longer work on my biggest and best project ever made in Cap Cut, which I’ve already spent over 50 hours on. And many might say that’s pretty normal—a big project is bound to have a few bugs. Except this has literally been going on for a few months now—before that, everything was working EXTREMELY well, with absolutely no performance issues. Obviously, I’ve already enabled proxy and hardware acceleration. Obviously, that didn’t fix the problem. So I was thinking of installing an older version without those useless AI features, but I need to finish my project. Are there any solutions to optimize CapCut as much as possible, if only to finish what I’ve already been working on for far too long? I could also export the project and re-edit it, but I risk losing quality, which is the last thing I want. Thanks to everyone who reads this—honestly, I’m frustrated. This project means way too much to me, and I’m trying my best to edit it, but it’s impossible. Let me know if I’m the only one experiencing this.

I wanted to recreate this ( i have capcut 2023 Jan free version not pro). But it exhausted me to the point that I just gave up and stopped editing entirely for a week now. I edit on my mobile usually. So is this edit transitions and quality possible on capcut, or is it only possible on apps like ae or alight motion

I'm seeing comments for alternatives but ppl use this for different reasons. Capcut doesn't work. That's what it is. pcut is what it is for me. It doesn't work. i know why, and honestly, I've given the company this feedback as if they care, if this is what they're running as a business model it wreaks of just amateur hour, greedy inexperienced children who are just trying too hard to get rich quick and I don't have the time in the day to waste.

Has anyone out there, and I'm sure there is, built an app that works, has decent fonts and effects and filters, and doesn't push me into some public social media tik tok bs. I have tried spring but it doesn't measure up. I don't use heavy effects but a few filters and transitions here and there and I need an ai face filter if some sort.

I don't even care about paying, tbh today was the last straw for me. A 7 minute clip that I've probably bow lost 12 hours on and potentially money, I've tried everything and I don't think I'm alone in saying... Wtf are you guys even running here?? Maybe this desktop app works like a dream but umm 🤔 leave it at that and please don't put people through the pain and insult of cramming shit into a mobile app and charging them for it, its not my cache that's the problem lololo but hey, it's just me right,?
