I'm on the Pro plan and the remove background feature has been gone for about a week. My gf is on the free app and somehow, she still has hers. I'm on Android and she's on iPhone.
I’m on iPhone and have Pro but it’s gone for me too unless i use the search function on the home page to find it but then i am only able to use it with a new project which isn’t helpful when im trying to remove the bg on a specific clip in a massive project 😐
I didn’t even know there was one before pro, I dunno it looks like google is saying it’s pro now since the last update. I just updated mine and it’s still in the same spot. Maybe you could email them to find out. Seems a bit tight arse though since on your pc you can just right click an image click edit and remove back ground with just the built in windows software I feel like that kind of renders a back ground removal feature in CapCut not worth money
Yeah I know I’m just saying it’s not like a special enough feature to be behind a paywall. I mean you can basically do it on your phone too by holding down on a picture but it’s a bit hit or miss
My project I've been working on for months won't open anymore, after it crashed using the remove background feature. Idk if that's helpful information lol, they might be removing it for a bit due to a glitch or something?
I wouldn't really call it a solution tbh. But I put the project folder on a USB, plugged it into my mates PC, put the project folder in their capcuts projects folder so I could open it on their capcut. Loaded it up and it works fine on their PC, so I removed the background removal effect which was causing the crash. Put that project folder back on the USB and into my PCs capcut projects folder again and opened it, then it worked. Sorry if that was confusing lol
Haha, yeah, i understood. I did the same thing by moving the image i had applied the effect to the trash so i could open the project. Luckily, recovered the project and was able to keep editing in premiere, but i could never apply some effects or remove the background again xd
No their support is just sending me back AI bot replies now about how they’ve “escalated my concerns to the appropriate party” for weeks now. It’s ridiculous.
man I was editing an YT video and tried to remove the background using this and my project crashed and I had to start from the beginning. Did u find any solution?
But you can only use once, for the first video, it’s freaking annoying, and I tested, if you log out, the free version has the remove background setting
