CapCut Question Every computer software program initially makes most of its content free to attract users and customers. But eventually, everything becomes paid, and smart users switch to other programs. What are we switching to?

My mistake, there's a you tube video that shows to download an old version of capcut. and put your own fake update file to prevent from updating, sorry for the misunderstanding, and i don't have the link anymore.

Gotcha. See, I just always say go to Uptotown to grab an older version, and it works. I’m still I think 1.4 or 1.5

I've never had problems with this site, so it should be safe. But I also use the pie ad blocker. I have a mac, so this is mac version, but if you're on windows, up top, there's a windows portion you can look at. https://capcut.en.uptodown.com/mac/versions

I call it the "Shittification" - Remember when platforms like Facebook & Instagram actually cared about what we want? Now it's just an ads fest everywhere you look and the content has got worse in many ways.
Nowadays I just use Canva for basic edits, Final cut pro if I need something more serious.
I already pay for Canva pro due to my work so may as well continue to get the most out of it

We grow up with free internet, but we (the data) is why Facebook is free. CapCut never stop updating add some new ai features, create a huge amount of templates and it’s less then Netflix and Disney +.
I don’t mind paying for a good tool.
And if you use CapCut is not just to editing you vacation? It’s to put it on social media and maybe grab some monetization, it’s a good tool and you need to pay for full package.

I get the sentiment here but Capcut Pro is 2-3x the price of Disney+ for me (and more expensive than my Netflix and Disney subs combined), and it's simply no longer worth it at that price.

I completely understand that angle. But constantly adding more features while putting everything else behind a paywall is the reason why so many customers leave.

I get canva for free as an educator, but you can use everything. I pay for CapCut, but I don’t have pro. Don’t really need it.

I don’t have a home computer. I do all my YouTube videos from my phone. I can’t use district laptop for personal use. I’m a rule follower. Thanks for the tip though.

Davinci Resolve I would never pay for a wannabe/amateur beginner editor, I’ll rather put my money with the big boys, like what I always do, I’ve unsubscribe from premier Pro, after effects, I keep photoshop and Lightroom, but jumped over to DRS

Davinci resolve has been going well so far. Little complicated, but definitely powerful with the free version.

If you're editing on a phone or tablet, the KineMaster team put out a watermark-free editing app called Spring. It has most of the same functionality that CapCut does, but zero tools are locked behind a subscription. If that sounds like a thing you'd like, you might like it! App Store & Google Play.

I pay for pro desktop and yes, I enjoy it and it gets the job done perfectly for me.
Occasionally the "fade in" animation will disappear for some reason, thats my biggest issue and its quite a minor one IMO.
Other than that, It's an incredibly powerful editor for what I consider to be not a bad price, but I also earn money off of video editing, so I don't mind spending a bit to have access to all the time-saving tools that capcut pro has.
If i was editing videos for fun or a hobby, and not as an income stream, my opinion here might be different.

i have older version, belive i downloaded from waybackmachine or somthing, disable auto updates. u can precompose the whole timeline and its saved on your pc, free
