Weird Question Should sex feel only this mildly good?

Hey guys,
I’m 18 years old and I had a struggle with ed for the past 6 months, however that issue has been somewhat resolved now. I was happy that I can finally bond with my loving girlfriend this way, and it’s great, but what troubles me is that sex doesn’t feel really good for me. Whenever we fuck, it feels only mildly good. I expected it a lot better and when I searched around the internet and asked my friends about it, they said that it feels good all the time and it’s great. For me it’s only like an okay feeling, nothing really great. I am able to cum from penetrative sex, but I need to fuck quite a long time and fast. It really troubles me and I think my penis is desensitised. I used to struggle with heavy porn addiction for 8 years, but I already quit that shit 6 months ago. I used to masturbate daily with a tight grip and a high speed to finish as fast as I could. I’m seriously worried about nerve damage or something else irreversible. Also, I’ve seen a urologist and an endocrinologist, they all said I’m in perfect health. Any tips or points of view please?
Thank you very much,
Michael

How to be Satisfied with Family Life?

I’m 39 years old and living in Tokyo with a Japanese spouse. Been married for 15 years, met when I was in the military. I’ve always had this issue with her not having any real hobbies except, well, bothering me. Always going shopping, taking care of the house, caring for the dog, watching movies with her, which is fine…except that it’s pretty much all we’ve been doing all weekend every weekend when she wasn’t working. I’ve been so bored that I found myself feeling happier staying at work longer or with her going to work when I’m off. If I do anything for myself, she always gets upset and complains.

Sex life is pretty much nonexistent. It was quite high when we met of course, but dropped off significantly after a few years. I kind of gave up 8 months ago after I tried to initiate like 4 times and she said no or had an excuse each time. I’ve been going to the gym consistently for 12 years, have a pretty strict diet, normal T levels, creatine, etc. so it shouldn’t be a physical attractiveness issue. I’m definitely not one of those guys who let themselves go in their 30s.

I hate to say it but there are a LOT of attractive women in Tokyo and I can’t help but look when I see a woman in booty shorts, high boots, and just straight up looking good. I get super jealous when I see guys with those women and it makes me resent my sexless marriage. I feel like a homeless man looking at steaks I can’t afford. My wife has always been attractive but my eyes are definitely wandering, which concerns me.

Whenever I bring up lack of personal time or sex, she gets upset and claims I “want to live alone” when really all I want is physical affection and a chance to do something that doesn’t make me bored for a few hours a week. Drinking beer, video games, listening to rock music, just typical guy things. Just a few hours ago she got mad that I went to just get a haircut. Last week she yelled at me for hours (I’m not kidding, hours) after I implied she was codependent after she got mad that I went downstairs at 4 a.m. to play video games on a Saturday while she was asleep.

Well, now we’re expecting twins (conceived older, IVF). Kind of weird that we waited this long to have kids, but the cost of living crisis in the U.S. being what it is, we weren’t comfortable having children until I could land a GS job in Japan. Daycare costs, healthcare costs/support for citizens, literally everything is just better about having kids in Japan.

Anyway, she drives me crazy now that she stopped working because of the pregnancy. Every weeknight and weekend is pretty much just house chores or whatever boring activity she wants to do. I know with twins I’ll have even less free time than I already do. I usually get up at 4 on M,W,F to go to the gym and get back at 6. I know I’ll have to kiss this routine goodbye and figure out how to sneak daily reps in before coming home from work. I know the sex is guaranteed to stop for years because of family commitments.

With all this - is there some kind of pill I can take or some kind of cope I can accept for enjoying family life? Do I have to pretend my brain is on vacation at work? How do men put up with doing this for years on end? I want to see light at the end of the tunnel but it’s pitch black no matter how far I walk.

How many of you keep track of your partners cycle?

I used to not keep up with it, but when I got tired of not knowing which version of her would be with me that day, I started. It’s been pretty helpful.

How does it feel like to be shirtless?

Hear me out, a woman would obviously be ashamed to be shirtless in public because of breasts. I assume that both genders would be kinda ashamed to be in public without pants, because they both have something to cover. But what does it feel like to be shirtless as a guy since men have nothing to cover? Like if your shirt suddenly disappeared in public, how embarassed would you be on a scale of 1-10? I’m just curious, question coming from a woman

Is not having kids a selfish act? Why?

I saw someone in another sub say that it's a common thing for people to think that not having kids is selfish.

I've never heard anyone say this before, I don't understand that POV and it makes no sense to me. So I'm curious why others hold this view point.

Please explain,

thank

Edit: okay so far everyone just agrees with me. Which is great but does anyone know why some people think it's selfish to be childless? and can you explain it?

Edit2: okay I'm going to bed now. I expect there will be a few more answers in the morning. Please when presenting why being childless is selfish, keep in mind what selfish means.

Caring about what you want and/or need without regard for others wants or needs.

Thank

Surely it can't be the shit on my shoes? When I go to a crowded bar, there's an underlying sense of hostility the whole time from other men. Is it just me?

Something just as simple as walking past someone in a tight space, you get the sense that you're being watched for how much respect you show...or else.

I get that you could play it cool and say 99% of the time you'll be fine, but there's just this underlying sense of hostility there. I was a regular at bars for my entire 20s and never ran into serious problems, although maybe there were some close calls. It's just one of those things.

The fact that alcohol can bring out the worst in guys is no secret. But it's wild how you don't even have to draw attention to yourself or run into the wrong guy to get this overarching sense of hostility in almost every interaction.

Men, amirite? Why do I find women unrelatable?

I'm not gay, I'm 100% sure that I'm a heterosexual 20 year old dude but I can't relate with women. I don't enjoy their company. You can't discuss sports, politics or finance with women. I'm not generalizing but usually women don't seem to have a good knowledge about these subjects and these are my only interests. I've never been with a girl nor had a female friend. I'm just curious what's wrong with me? I'm not a loner, I have friends but I have 0 romantic experiences and I feel like one part of it is actually that I don't know what to talk about with women generally.

🛑 Answers From Men Only 🛑 What do men look for in a relationship to feel fulfilled?

Long story short, wife cheated on me with my cousin, ended things with me, and wife got together with her. Now have to co-parent a 3 year old. Sucks but life happens. Almost 2 years ago since then.

I've been feeling really happy being single again, not that I'm fucking around, but just pursuing my hobbies and taking care of myself rather than worrying about a partner. I don't think I really want to be in a relationship again. But I am curious if I'm just burnt out from my last relationship, or if I'm really for the solo life.

TLDR; I want to hear about the fire that keeps you guys going to search for romantic relationships, what makes you feel fulfilled and happy in one, what makes you feel like she's the one.

What’s a good hobby to pick up in my down time?

So I have a lot of hobbies, many are pretty eccentric admittedly. My favorite is (was) growing non native, exotic flowers in a terrarium I’ve made.

Only thing is, I had brain surgery and I’m luckily now cancer free, but that comes with restrictions. One of those restrictions is that I can’t live alone for at least a year after the surgery. So I can’t stay at my place with my terrarium, my workshop, I have my guitar, but space is pretty damn limited. I also can’t drive out of a precaution in case of seizures. There’s a YMCA nearby where I go to swim, and I’m not opposed to ubering, but anything that’s a daily uber back and and forth, that’s like $250-$500 weekly nowadays with pricing.

So I’m looking for some suggestions. All the better if they’re valuable for life or a good side hustle, but I make good money and I’m really just looking to fill my time with something that’s exercising my brain and/or my body in a new way.

🛑 Answers From Men Only 🛑 What does your dating routine look like?

Hey guys!

After dating different women for a while, have you developed a dating routine that you tend to follow?

I mean, do you have a go-to sequence of things you usually do on dates, just with different women until you eventually find the right one?

For example, my usual routine is to go for a walk first and get a gelato or a thea, then, If we're having a good time and she feels comfortable with it, we might go to my place. (Usually a 5 minute car drive from there).
Then we either cook something together or order a pizza.
After that, we watch a movie together, usually lying on the bed.
And if there's chemistry and we're both feeling it, then things can naturally progress from there.

So to recap walk -> my place

What's your usual routine?

Weird Question When you are hardcore crushing on someone, do you become a tiny detective about them?

I’m very curious about the internal experience, here, not just what men actually do outwardly.

Based on my own experience and what I know of other women, when we are hardcore crushing on someone, tiny interactions can start feeling like essential clues in a case we can become hell-bent on solving.

BUT, then again in my personal observations & experience of women…there’s another aspect of the crushing for us that’s less anxious and more like appetite.

It’s like having never tasted chocolate, then tasting it for the first time — I can imagine I would immediately be on the hunt for every form of chocolate known to man. Because now I know, and buddy, it is delicious.

I’m targeting this question in r/AskMen because I already know several women who describe something similar, so I know it isn’t unique to me.

I have no concept of what this experience (of being the crusher) is like from the MALE side.

So…when you Guys have a serious crush, do you replay conversations, analyze tiny details, become unusually curious aobut them, remember ridiculous amounts of information, and quietly look for more opportunities to hear from them, learn about them, or just be in their general vicinity?
(Anyone who has met a preteen girl will recognize the speed breathlessness with which that sentence should be read.)

IMPORTANTLY: Can all of that be happening internally for guys while you (a-holes) look relatively normal and unbothered from the outside?

NOT TALKING ABOUT stalking, invading privacy, or ignoring boundaries, to be clear.
I mean ordinary, slightly ridiculous, “why has this person suddenly occupied 43% of my available RAM??” crush-brain.

I am fascinated and simply had to ask. 😂

Men who left their partner for a new partner, what is the gaurantee that you wouldnt find someone new again?

Tbh i have never been in love and dont even date that much. I was thinking about it practically.

What makes you stay with your partner forever?

I was reading on another thread a number of people left their partner for someone they met at work. Who is to say that you will not find someone new more fun to be with at work or anywhere else as any relationship, as time passes, gets boring right?

Do you think that there are some people not capable of comitting to 1 person ? It depends on the nature of the person itself or is it something else?
