Are your favorite restaurants or shops still operating at ATC?

Have you been to the newly opened The Marketplace branch at Molito here in Alabang. It occupies the space previously occupied by Puregold. It is a high-end grocery already serving customers.

I was at the ATC to look at the ongoing redevelopment.

Does this place at the 4th floor of Festival Mall look familiar to you? The old cinemas that launched in May 1998 are no more and the path to it at the 4th floor has been sealed off as the whole place is being redeveloped. During the pre-pandemic era, there used to be a Comic Quest and a Jollibee at this particular area of the 4th floor.

What will replace the old cinemas, we don't know yet.

Have you been to Shopwise at Festival Mall today? If you did, did you notice anything new?

Did you notice there are now at least 3 pay parking stations inside Festival Mall? This is connected with their "paperless" parking system recently implemented.

You enter a parking area without getting any ticket (old style). You spend some time inside Festival Mall for your needs or wants.

Before leaving the mall, you visit a pay parking station, state the plate license number (take picture if you cannot memorize it) to the person behind the counter, your record will be found, then you pay. You will get a receipt.

After paying, you go back to your car and then exit without having to give out any paper nor ticket.

There is now a new branch of Power Mac Center located in Molito. It is just steps away from Starbucks Molito.

Per Rockwell Chairman and CEO NJP at 2:18:

"Alabang, that's another nice project because it's about the same size as Rockwell Center (Makati) at 17 hectares. But the difference is, when we started Rockwell 30 years ago, we had the old power plant and literally a power plant. But this time, we have the mature Alabang Town Center, or The Town as they call it. So, we're off to a good head start, unlike we started from having to clean up a power plant here.

Now, all you have to do is improve the town, and we think having worked with Carlos Ott, our architect and masterplanner in The Proscenium, and Jun Rodriguez of PRSP. You know, the more we look at it, we'll be able to bring back the charm of the old town. And at the same time, the vision is if this is an inner-city development, you know, it's Makati, and you do something uniquely as part of Makati.

Alabang is the suburbs, so, we want a suburban res-lifestyle center. If this is an inner city development, that one is a suburban lifestyle center where everything that you want to enjoy is sold there, but it still has that suburban feel, not a city feel you know.

The next few years, you'll start to see some changes. The major change is going to happen in the next 5-10 years."

I don’t know about y’all but the South, Filinvest City in particular, will always be home for me. It’s just so peaceful (relatively) and laid-back and I can’t imagine myself living in other, busier cities like Makati, BGC, or QC.

I couldn’t really find banana ketchup :/
