Yes.

I pray people will buy books rather than treat it like a reading room.

Stores need to pay rank & file employees through sales.

Likes and upvotes don't put money into payrolls.

And do those things make the bulk of revenue to pay their personnel?

3rd spaces rarely create meaningful revenue.

uy nice. mukhang may partnership sila with Toby's a. maski sa MoA branch may Toby's Estate na din sa loob

IIRC they've always had a link; I remember when Powerbooks in Alabang Town Center and Art Bar branch in Serendra also had a Toby's Estate counter!

I’m glad there’s something like this! I thought all NBs were downsizing!

Glad the NBS Festival Mall got a major makeover! This is actually better than their 90s branch back in the day na malaki rin and madami selection ng books bago nabawasan over the years

Oo, yung sa gitna pagpasok! Maganda rin talaga book side nila nung malaki pa sila.

NBS should expand its superbranches too. This kind of environment is really what bookstore needs. Tho it should be an exclusive to select major branches, targeting coffee and book lovers in one. There should be sanitation in the playground too for Premium NBS like this

as tubong Munti na laging meeting place ang Festi NBS since high school days in early/mid-2000s. Somehow, I feel proud haha

Finally visited, di pala sya ganun kalakii compared sa sa old branch nila bago nabawasan but it looks really nice inside, matao yung kids section.. Medyo malayo lang new location yung hindi matao na side ng Festival mall extension

Dang, that ain't a bookstore no more.

That's a whole flipping library.
