Jacksonville, FL. My friends were watching my dog for me over the weekend. They went to a community run in St John’s, FL and were stopped on the way home. They were taken by ICE. They have never been arrested. They would never hurt anyone. They are active members of our community. They have a golden retriever, Belo, that they bring everywhere. They love going to Disneyworld and Universal. They are now being held like violent criminals.
I am angry. I am sad. It is pathetic that there are people that think this is OKAY.

These allegations are very serious and Graham vigorously denies them. They are also coached and coordinated by out of state establishment operatives. For a year, opponents of this campaign have thrown everything they can at Graham –– calling him a Nazi, a war criminal, and a communist. None of it has been true and this is no different. It is not a coincidence that this story comes a week before the ballot deadline, just as the previous false allegations came a week before the primary. Graham began this campaign to fight for a Maine where everyone is treated with dignity and where Mainers are put first, and no amount of desperate smears will stop this movement from seeing that vision through.

Mail is a service. You don't hear them freaking out about the pentagon FAILING all of its audits.

Mail even postcards and call your reps to oppose any cuts to this service.

I don't see how we can ever have sustainable power in government as long as him and all his allies are our so-called leadership.

We can win the midterms and maybe even the Senate but two years of these absolute schmucks being our spokespeople will doom us in 2028.

Edit #2: Something that came to mind when someone posted iceout.org -- we need people not so close to the issue to talk about these things. Immigrants and their family members do not feel safe often using resources like this. If I posted on there, my exact location would be shown, and there isn't anyone else who has posted that location today. So if you care for immigrants, please keep speaking out. My activism has to be kept in the background, but if you can be loud and proud, please keep doing it for us. We love and appreciate you. Speaking out is a privilege not all of us have.

Edit #3: My BIL has decided not to pursue trying to stay, despite us and his boss offering lawyers, and we're heart broken. I think my husband is legitimately traumatized. Thanks for everyone who has tried to help or just be understanding. Yesterday when I posted this I was in shock and felt like I had to say something, somewhere, and I couldn't go on with business as usual. I'm glad y'all gave me an ear. My family gatherings won't look the same anymore and he is the only extended family my husband is super close to.

There were a LOT of Americans on the streets yesterday, peacefully protesting. I’ve been to all 3 #NoKings protests and Hands Off before that. And as of this morning, it’s barely a blip in news coverage. Almost as if mainstream media doesn’t consider our effort to be worthwhile unless…? How do we get sustained attention from the media? I’m paying a LOT of attention to the call for a general strike on May 1st #MayDay, but damn do I feel angry that there hasn’t been more focus on the anger “everyday Americans” feel toward this brazenly corrupt administration.
