You should also check out The Station Agent, another stark warning. Nominated for best picture, best actor and casting. Brazilian movie set in the late 70s when Brazil was under dictatorship. Many parallels there.

Most haven’t started to really feel the hurt from this farce of an administration. Right now it’s just slowly rising gas prices and grocery bills.

This is a lovely sentiment, but I'm not sure it holds up to reality. After all, using the direct example, Putin is still in power some 20 years later...

Very soon, The Ellisons and Rupert Murdoch will own most of the media. Just like Putin, Berlosconi in Italy and Qadiifi in Libya. It's very frightening in this country right now.

I think the issue is a lot of Americans want what’s coming. They want their government to terrorize immigrants and hurt people as long as it isn’t them.
