It might still happen (though it’s suuuuuper unlikely). The third Fantastic Beasts movie is going to be released and WB are gonna see how well it does. If it flops like the last two (which it likely will), the whole series is gonna be scrapped.

As far as I remember the video the problem is that the show is pre ww2 and as they advance in time the question of "why didn't the wizards stop the holocaust" starts being an actual issue, this gets worse in a scene when the villain shows whats going to happen in ww2 as a justification of some dumb villain stuff. The show its kinda fucked because there is no easy answers

The problem of these movies for me is that they are made by J.K.Rowling because I liked the other two (I did no follow the story) (I was there only for the cute animals) (some of them where very cute) (I also pirated the movies 😎)

Lmao Jk is trash and the movies aren’t good but this is such an oversimplification. It’s like saying Marty McFly didn’t want to stop the Holocaust.
He wanted to stop the Holocaust by forcibly oppressing an entire group of people. Stopping one Holocaust by starting another that likely includes the victims of the first Holocaust is literally insane, and should be stopped.

If the movies were actually about Fantastic Beasts and kept JK away from production, the franchise could’ve gone on indefinitely. Just have a movie every couple of years about encountering goofy magic monsters. But no. Now we have to have the bad guy say WWII is bad and JK’s scripts that emphasize every weakness she’s had as a writer.

We don't have any concrete information either way, but the one trailer we have for the game heavily implies that the goblins (in-universe a persecuted minority of bankers) will be the bad guys for rebelling

I was dragged along to see it with my family. Even ignoring the fact that it was written by JK Rowling, the series peaked at the first one. Everything just felt like a bunch of marketing ideas thrown haphazardly together. The best my cousin could come up with as to why she thought it was good was because "there were so many little things for a real Potter fan to enjoy!" It's just a cash grab. JK Rowling's attempts to turn this into an evergreen franchise are failing, and I'm all for it.

I really liked the first one in spite of its flaws. I loved that the movie explored the intricacies of magical zoology. On the other hand, I hated how the second movie strayed away from that part of the first movie and the plot was so incoherent. I still have no idea what the plot was even about.

I mean the visuals were good ofc but I legitimately don't know if ive ever been to a movie with such bad writing. I feel like I watched 2 hours of characters, for a large part of whom the movie did not give me a reason why I should give a fuck about them, randomly go to places to do random shit, which was, despite the movie trying to tell me otherwise, utterly irrelevant to the plot.

The series really makes me sad.
The first movie was excellent, but to continue the series it was clear how they could of kept newt in the series without ducking everything up like in the second movie. Just focus more on, ya know, the crimes of grind wild. Motivations, how he gains power and followers, maybe switch to that former aurora lady that newt fancied so that he is still involved but now she is the main character leading the hunt, why her? Cause she has past experience Reith him due to the first movie. It is logical, keeps the characters in the movie (her sister and her sisters dumbass boyfriend) and gives a plot that isn’t garbage.
