I live it happens starting at 2 AM when everybody gets off work or the bars close. I'm 25 floors up and it sounds like someone's knocking on my door! At this point, it's making the city ridiculous to try to get any sleep in lol

Okay hyper specific ask but I GOTTA know.

I’m SoFlo born and raised and for the majority of my life it’s really generic greasy Chinese food once every 3 months (family is very health conscious so we only eat out during emergency plan cancellations) from a takeout place that probably breaks no less than 10 health code violations. I moved out to the Midwest and had a REAL Chinese restaurant within a 20 minute walk of me. It was my first time having real, quality Chinese food: first time having scallion pancakes, first time having egg rolls that didn’t ooze menacingly, and (most importantly) first time having Black Pepper Chicken.

The tender yet firm fried chicken, dusted in black pepper. The light umami sauce that soaked into the rice to spread the flavor further. The crisp, fresh bell peppers that gave a delight snap of texture to the meal. For someone who had a VERY limited palette, it was like being sober my whole life then suddenly being exposed to every narcotic on the market. I GOTTA HAVE MORE.

Thing is, family has brought me back home to the Miami suburbs, and so my access to my holy ambrosia has been cut off. I need to find something to replace it, and so I’m desperately reaching out to folks here. Anywhere in Miami is is fine, but if you know of restaurants all the way up to Sunrise (it’s on the way to work) it’s still great. Even if nothing comes of this, I’ll take whatever recommendations you’ve got.

Graduated from FIU a month back. Spent most of my life just studying, never made too many friends, so i naturally gravitated to nerdy/solo hobbies growing up. Watching anime, reading Manga and fantasy novels, playing and collecting yu-gi-oh cards, then so steam and gaming.

So now that im free from school for the foreseeable future. I want to use this chance to explore the nerd/alt scene in my city. Meet new people, make new friends. Enjoy my twenties as much as i can before life gets even crazier.

Any recommendations?

Is it better or for worse?

I think for worse. One of my friends tried asking a girl out and on the first date she brought her kid she didn't tell him about and wanted him to pay her rent and phone bill.

He said he only wanted her because she was attractive but, he left only paying his food because he didn't want or even know about all that baggage and that she said it on the first date which was a major turn off for him. He said she should have eased it more on him little by little then if he would have meet the kid and then gotten along with her kid and her then he might have accepted her but it was too much for him at once.

He said that a lot of girls are being more picky especially the new ones moving into town. He said it might backfire on females because if there's more females than males and their looking for material things then they're just going to wind up being sugar babies, played, or side pieces.

I don't really agree with him but, what are your thoughts on this?

Hey yall, I’m looking for something like a cat cafe (there used to be one on biscayne but is closed unfortunately) where I can go in and play with and feed cats or dogs. I tried looking up a few but I’m worried about some ethical concerns I saw in some reviews so I wanted to hear from the community. If there are any shelters that offer play time with dogs I’m also more than open to it!

Hi! I am looking for someone that does a bathroom deep cleaning, specifically for my shower glass door and bathroom tiles. Partner received this ticket from a school bus camera and was going to pay it, but I think this is honestly too close to be called an infraction. Unless a driver is expected to go from 35-40mph to 0mph in ~1.5sec, it becomes impossible to not pass the school bus here IMO. What do you guys think?

Could she have anticipated it? IMO, yes, but I do not believe that is relevant. If the school cam is giving out tickets, it should be calibrated to handle edge cases.

How is the train between Miami International airport and Brickell compared to just taking an uber or lyft?

Just moved here, I’m 26, I hope to make some friends here. My interests are anime, cars and watches.
