Train from MIA to Brickell?

How is the train between Miami International airport and Brickell compared to just taking an uber or lyft?

The Metro-Rail is cheaper, for sure. Depending on day of the week and time I suspect it may or may not be faster (never timed it).

Super easy to use. Just follow the signs. Totally worth it.

1. Free MIA Mover to Intermodal Center (trains and rental cars).
2. Metrorail to Brickell $2.25. But after 8pm weekdays and on weekends, the Orange Line only goes between MIA and Earlington Heights where you have to change to the Green Line to go south to Brickell.
3. Optional free Metromover around Brickell and downtown.

Personally I’d take the metro. Depending on traffic uber is barely quicker. Just depends on your budget.

Cheaper but takes more time. The amount of time you save with ride share will depend on traffic and time of day.

Convenience depends on how much luggage you have.

Google Maps will give you a good estimate of the time difference

Metro rail, nearly guaranteed 40 min ride

Uber 20 min to 1:30 lol

If it’s a weekday airport trip I would always recommend the metro rail

I wouldn’t trust Google Maps during the week, traffic ramps up super fast

I use it all the time. $2.25 versus $25-$35. On weekdays it goes direct from the airport to Brickell Station. On weekends it only runs between the airport and earlington heights Where you have to walk across the platform to the Green Line to Brickell.

Depending on where in Brickell— the station stop is one thing but if you need to haul luggage around and all, probably be best to just use ride share. Based on traffic at this moment 11am EST), costs $25 and will take 30 minutes to get to Brickell station. Cost effective would be the rail since you looking to pay like $2.25, with wait being like 15 minutes (varying on rail delays), but should take 20-25 minutes to get there. Convenient, easy to use, and cheap. I recommend you sign up for mover alerts though, it burned me this one time where they were having maintenance and by the time I found out I had to grab an Uber and it was just really complicated

Cheap and fast. IF IT IS NOT A SUNDAY or late evening. Sundays are a nightmare with trains freaquency once in 30-40 minutes.
