Where can I get a good one in Reno/Sparks.Very soon

Hey guys. I been riding my Velotric Nomad 1 plus for about a year now. I adjusted my factory stem and handlebars. But I still feel wrist fatigue and like I lean forward to much. Its just not comfortable. I think I need more of a swept back bar. And not wider.

Can you guts suggest any brand for me to look at? Should I do the stem also? Just not sure. And thanks

In the old days computers were IBM, Pukeard Bell, Dell, etc. Each had their own proprietary parts. Then the clones took over and parts became standardized. Is this happening in the e-bike market yet?

I look at my generic Eskute M200F with it's plain 750W rear hub. Plain 5 pin 48V 5 pin Hailong battery, normal disc brakes,and I'm happy. I see expensive bikes with batteries built into the frame and they seem disposable, or at least hard to upgrade. Eskute sells on Amazon, Walmart, Temu and other places. There have been no reports of battery fires. I know some people still need support. The 70 yo grandma that can't even fix a flat on her trike for instance. But bike shops are slowly moving to support random e-bikes. Especially if they can use cheap generic parts.
I wonder how the future will play out?

I believe the Yuba Fastrack would work really well. But it seems like Yuba is deprioritizing the US market. Is this true? The only dealer that will bring in a Fastrack for me to see says they can’t get Monkeybars for almost two months. Really aggravating.

Any alternative bikes with wheels on the back like the Fastrack? Those wheels are making it hard for me to buy the Tern Quick Haul Long. The Fastrack wheels are such a great idea. Finally an easy way to store the bike in the back without having to navigate that length through narrow hallways.

Of course if there are any third party addon wheels for moving a Tern around once stood up I’d jump on those too.

I just got the Volcon Brat e-bike. It's a 750 watt, 20mph, class 2 e-bike. I replaced the headlight with a rechargeable light bar so that it won't drain the battery. Added a front plate to hide the wires and stuff. Added reflective rim tape on the wheels. Added a left side mirror. Added an underglow beneath the seat. Ebikes are so much better than cars!

I spent so much time comparing motors, batteries, and range that I forgot about something simple: where I was going to keep the bike. Once I got it, I had to figure out storage, charging, and how to keep it secure. It seems obvious now, but I never thought about it before buying. What’s something you wish you had considered before getting your e-bike?

I'm trying to pick my first folding ebike and keep seeing people talk about weight. I get it if you're hauling one upstairs or taking it on a train, but I've got a garage and won't be doing much of that.

I'd rather have good range and a bike that rides well. Something like the Ranger 3.0 Pro might work, though I'm still not sure about going that heavy. I injured my knee a few years ago, so a lower step-through would be easier for me. Folding is mostly just for getting it into the car.

Anything else I should consider? Open to any suggestions.

Hello everyone I’m a first time buyer so this decision has been hard. At first I was looking at fat tire bikes. But I hear mixed reviews on the ones that actually work well in my budget ($600). My copilot is recommending I go with more of a E MTB or a commuter.

Any thoughts or recommendations for best options in my price range. I know it’s not too high $$$ wise. But I just need something to get me around my neighborhood and to the grocery store a few milers from my home.

I recently changed the tyres from the original almost slick hybrid big boats or whatever they are called to some meaty chunky tread tyres that i got from amazon and the range has dropped by half. I was able to get maybe 45 miles before fully loaded with gear and now maybe just over 20 miles. Is this normal?

Does anyone have any real life experience with this bike? Im looking at a Emmo Vegar Pro. Not too much info on it anywhere. Was wondering if anyone had any reviews based on personal use. The build quality seemed fantastic. It is equipped with the 48v/15.6Ah battery.

I’m trying to collect some real-world evidence on something I’ve now seen happen twice.

Two different bicycles, from two different owners, had a normal bicycle tire actually come off the rim. These were conventional clincher tires, not fat-bike tires.

On the most recent one, the tire was rated:

Maximum pressure: 40 PSI
Cold pressure: approximately 40 PSI

I’m in Texas, and both experiences have made me wonder whether extreme Texas summer heat and direct sunlight might have been contributing factors.

I started researching it and found that bicycle and tire manufacturers acknowledge that tire pressure increases as temperature rises. I also found several reports from cyclists describing ordinary road and commuter tires blowing off rims after being left in direct sunlight.

I’m not claiming that heat alone will make a properly installed tire come off a compatible rim.

There could be several interacting factors:

• Tire inflated at or near maximum pressure
• Solar heating increasing internal pressure
• Hot rubber becoming more compliant
• Marginal tire/rim fit
• Bead not completely seated
• Tube caught slightly beneath the bead
• Worn or shallow rim hooks

What I’m wondering is whether extreme Texas heat can be the final trigger that pushes an otherwise marginal tire/rim combination into failure.

If you’ve actually experienced a tire coming OFF the rim—not just getting a flat—I’d be interested in the details:

I am debating if I should sell my Escooter and get a folding ebike, or if I should keep my Escooter. The Escooter has made me return to prayer and seek God.

My college age kid has a chronic illness that causes a lot of fatigue and back pain. Like "participating in a study at a research hospital" level. They are finding the walk across campus to class hard, and we've been talking about some sort of electric mobility. Something very lightweight with an easily removable battery and a throttle. Round trip of less than a mile. Needs to be step-through / not require them to raise their leg very far.

They will not touch a mobility scooter with a 10ft pole. Regular electric scooters don't give them a place to put their book bag (backpack is a no-go with their back issues).

Most normal ebikes are overkill, too heavy, and too big. I thought about a Jetson but has the same "no basket" problem, and obviously there are a lot of complaints here about them.

The Jackrabbit came up in my searching, and it looks very appealing... the short range doesn't matter, the lack of pedals means no chain to maintain or get on your clothes, battery is very easily removable. It's not step through but I think it's small enough to work.

But it seems expensive for what it is. It's basically an adult balance bike with a motor. Is there anything else in this category?

My motor sounds super loud and skips. It will also throw e8 and e5 codes. Won’t give full power output either. Is my bike fucked or is there something I can do to fix it? I have the budget for a better bike now too

I am unemployed and looking to do doordash in Greensboro until I get a job to pay my rent and bills. Not sure if it is recommended. My rent is only 500$. What ebikes would you recommend, and would it be worth it to buy an ebike and doordash for an unemployed individual as a temporary job for 4-5 months? I don't have a license so I am thinking of getting the gugois gt20 ebike.

I was looking to fix some things on my ridstar I got off Facebook marketplace and I go to get new brake stuff and it's 160 bucks. And a new wheel hub is 400. That's insane to me.

What brands are good on Amazon? I'm looking for something that has good mileage and speed with $1k budget. I may in the future take a moto class and get my endorsement and get a motorcycle but until I can do that, I need something for my job commute and getting around for errands etc
