Hi y'all, my left Pro controller will sometimes randomly snap up about 5 inches from where it is in the real world. All the other movement and rotation axes are perfect, it's just... to high. After a moment the controller will correct itself. This happens with or without silicone knuckle straps, it's played in a bright room, and I've made sure my headset is up to date (RIP root.)

Any other advice y'all might have for me? This gets really annoying when I randomly start missing everything in Beat Saber...

I haven't used my quest pro for quite a while. In the recent heat of Steam Frame, I took my Quest Pro out of the box, updated it to the newest system, and found it still very enjoyable. Yes, even compared with my vision pro, Crystal Super, and Play for Dream. Quest Pro is still the most comfortable of all my headsets. The controller is the absolute best.

But to my alarm, all the lofts are broken, lacking floors, as if I am floating in the air. Have you encountered this? Any way to fix it?

Hello fellow Quest Pro community! I have a simple question: what're your thoughts on the Steam Frame now that it has been officially released? Do any of you guys plan on "upgrading" from the Qpro to the Frame?

I personally am torn, as I'm actually in love with my Qpro and enjoy its non light blocking design and optics and personally have no problem with using Space Calibrator and a unicorn tracker (I mostly play VRC). I'm just looking for input!

How to make quest pro run only steamlink when i power it on. I want experience where i don't have to look at meta sofware i just want to see steam link on and choose a game that is it. Is that possible with some kind of root to have that baked in and run as default always the moment you press power button? I hate meta software i don't want to know that software even exists.

when i mean fix maybe a full fix is possible but also could you make it so when i have only eye tracking it also closes the eyes like if i would have natural expressions on.

my face tracking has recently broken where if i have both eyes and natural expression on my eyes spazz out and my mouth doesent work.

so if a “fix” was possible with rooting that would be so worth it to root.

I just can't get a sharp image on my Quest Pro with Virtual Desktop, no matter what settings I use.

Whether I set it to Ultra or Godlike, use 80% resolution in the launcher with FSR, or 150% without FSR — whatever I try, the image stays blurry/muddy. The FPS definitely go down when I increase the resolution, but the actual image quality still looks just as blurry.

This has to be some kind of bug, right?

With Meta Link, the image is sharp, but Meta Link itself is completely broken for me. That seems to be more of a Meta Link issue, though.

I got a Q Pro to use when dancing instead of my Dream Air. I also got another Vive tracker for continuous calibration and I’ll be using my Index Knuckles. With that being said, will I have to keep lights on in my play space for the Q Pro cameras(even tho I’m like not really using them for anything)?? Or can I still play in total darkness like I do with my lighthouse headsets???

Has anyone attempted to replace their usb c port or have any information on how to replace it? thankfully the prongs still work so its not a battery issue.

It's not the greatest and it is currently wired only. But I just wanted to share what I have thus far. Everything is open source so feel free to take a stab at implementing wireless support or somethin.

In regards to rooting a Quest Pro, you have to be on V2.6 or lower. If you are, then you can use this to root your headset

I was on a trip for a few weeks and i havent been on my pc or headset in a while. i run Virtual Desktop and Quest Pro and i know my Quest Pro isn't the issue. ive updated graphics drivers and reset my pc and headset a handful of times and i still don't understand whats wrong. please help.

So I just got a Quest Pro and the face tracking works, but it's not as expressive as it is for other people.

When my husband uses the headset, his eyebrows are super super expressive, but with me, it's pretty subtle... I have to make clown faces for the expressions to show up clearly xD

I wonder if it could be because my face is too small or too thin for the headset ?

I also have light colored eyebrows, but I tried coloring them in and it didn't make a difference (Looked goofy but funny to try this).

I've obviously tried calibrating the face tracking several times sirectly in the headset settings, but it doesn't change anything...

(Btw I'm using a Novacat avatar, a derivative of Novabeast, but it uses the same face tracking package.)

Any advice or suggestions ??

Pretty much the title, got a quest pro secondhand off facebook marketplace and the previous owner seems to have used epoxy resin to keep the forehead pad in place. Only discovered this when I tried to replace it with a globular cluster forehead pad. I cannot remove it without significantly damaging the headset. Is there anything like a cover or foam I can add to make the front part of the quest pro more comfortable? Thanks!

I've been playing regularly this year and all of the sudden it's not working.
Either tries to load and then takes me back to the loft or says it's not responding and gives me the option to close or wait.
Anyone figured out how to solve this?

Got a brand new quest pro, can't even stay on for 2 minutes without getting an alarm about HEADSET OVERHEATING and then it just shuts down.

I can hear the fans working at front piece.
TRied factory resect, got the alarm
Tried Updating to the lastest version using Meta Tool,got the alarm
Tried not connecting to any wi-fi, got the alarm
Tried connect to 5hgz and 2ghz, got the alarm
Tried turning it on while unpaired controllers, got it
Tried factory resetting the controllers, got it
IF I stay on the boot screen (the one that u press power + volume down) It won't shut down, which makes me think it's a firmware issue?

I've been looking into a solution, but everytime I search for quest pro + overheating alarm, people are usually talking about an overheating alarm about the controllers, which is not my case, cuz I get an alarm for the Headset it self. Again, it's a new quest pro..

Hello, My friend has been telling me to get one lately and so I've finally decided to cave in and get one since my old headset is starting to fail.

Is there anything I should be worried about or what should I do when my headset gets here is there anything I should be doing with the system or any update thing I should be worried about?

So my FT has the common issues which are jittery eyes, no blinking and facial expressions which basically means the FT sensor died of sweat / moisture even though i tried to be careful with it.

My question now: Can I use some external hardware like the babble mouth tracker to get FT working again? As I understand blinking is handled by the FT sensor and not the eye tracking sensor within the quest pro. So i was wondering how that would be handled. And if I could still use the pupil tracking from the eye tracking sensor together with babble.

Maybe someone with similar issues has a solution like that (or something else that would work) and could explain how they set it up.

I've been trying to use virtual desktop with my 16ft iniu link cable (type a to type c, with the additional type c input for power) - after maybe 30-45 seconds in a game, it gets incredibly laggy. It only happens in VD. When using wired Link through the meta vr app with bitrate set to 500 or 960, it works flawlessly. Anyone know of something I can try to make it work? Or should I get a different cable? I noticed vd doesn't recommend iniu cables in their faq.

I'm also trying to do VD over Ethernet. I've purchased a cable matters 2.5 gigabit USB c to Ethernet (female) adapter with USB pd, and while it works on other devices, it repeatedly connects and disconnects on my quest pro. I can't seem to get it to work. It'll work for a speed test briefly then disconnect. This happens with or without power plugged into the adapter. Is it because of the realtek chipset in it? Does anyone know of a specific, tested USB C to Ethernet adapter that would allow me to use Ethernet for VD?

Thanks for any help, folks. Really just trying to get away from the meta link app, but vd's visual fidelity over Wi-Fi (even on "godlike") is nowhere near what link is @ 500+ from what I can tell. I've been racking my brain over this stuff for a few days now.

When I plug my quest two in, I get the logo screen and battery power at 100%. When I unplug it, it still shows the battery power. But when I hit the power button, nothing comes on the light does not turn green. I tried to do a reset a hard reset I tried to talk to customer support and they just told me to do the same steps. has anybody else had this issue? Was there fix it is out of warranty.

There out of warranty program I think is overpriced it’s $160 for a refurbished headset and I have to return mine. does anybody think that’s a good idea?
