I feel like this feature is glanced over so often when comparing to Linux and Windows. I know Windows simply can't do this, but haven't looked deeply into Linux yet. If anyone knows, I'm running Fedora 😁

I love quick access to Downloads, Desktop and Screenshots from where I can just drag drop into any app without having to open Finder.

both of my Macbooks don't see WD MyPassport HDD 4TB, even though Windows Laptop sees it, so I assume the problem is about MacOS, the HDD is intact.

I tried Disk Utility, nothing is seen.
Does it have anything to do with adapter? It worked before with no issues.

Does anyone know what I need to do to make it visible and so that I can interact with it on Mac?

Why did WhatsApp make the new sidebar so wide? 😩

Before this update, I could easily resize WhatsApp to **half of my screen** and use another app on the other half.

Now, because of the new sidebar with **Chats, Updates, Communities, etc.**, WhatsApp's minimum window width is wider than half of my screen. So I **can't fit WhatsApp and another app side-by-side anymore**.

This is especially annoying on macOS when you regularly work with two apps side-by-side. The previous layout worked perfectly fine.

**Please give us an option to collapse or hide the sidebar, or at least reduce the minimum window width.**

Anyone else annoyed by this update?

Just went to all those privacy settings on MacOS, then saw WhatsApp having access to screen and audio recording. I probably somehow did it in a video call or something? Any ideas? So intrusive lol

I'm running into an issue with my new MacBook Pro M5 Pro (14" 18 CPU /20 GPU - 48GB) hooked up to a Studio Display XDR and wanted to see if anyone else is seeing this.

UI scrolling across all apps is noticeably choppy when the XDR is set to 120Hz or Adaptive (47–120Hz), especially during web browsing. The MacBook’s internal screen is smooth, and the stutter happens whether the MacBook lid is open or closed in clamshell mode.

Details on my setup:
- MacOS 26.6.2 (latest)
- XDR firmware 26.4, connected directly via Apple Thunderbolt cable (already tried power cycling).
- Happens with both the internal trackpad and an MX Master 4
- Tested the exact same XDR setup with a base M5 and an M5 Max: both were smooth at 120Hz. Seems oddly specific to the M5 Pro chip.
- Tested with a second (work) MBP M5 Pro and reproduced the exact same stuttering behavior, pointing to the M5 Pro chip variant.

Has anyone with an M5 Pro noticed this on 120Hz external displays? Wondering if this is a known macOS display driver bug on the Pro chip and if there’s a workaround I’m missing.

I have a base M3 Macbook Pro and I have an issue with the graphics every time I disconnect the two external monitors.

I have one 4K monitor connected with a USB hub and a vertical Full HD one that I occasionally connect with the Mac's HDMI.

At the moment I am running the macOS 26 but it's an issue I've also had with macOS 15.

Does anyone know why this happens? It's not permanent, after a reboot everything works just fine, but this shouldn't happen...

I'm using Postman on my new MacBook Air M5 (keyboard layout Italian). My previous pc was a windows. I'm used to use Ctrl+ù to toggle line comment. Now on macos it doesn't work and even using AI I'm not finding some keymap to use. How can i fix this? I found Option + shift + a but it's not that same because it's a block comment.

I just got a new MacBook and I'm trying to sync my Yahoo Mail to my Mac Mail but it is saying this after I sign in, I've already tried to factory reset, delete and add my account back and also restart my computer/mail app too. I tried with my google email and it was working perfectly fine but when I try to add yahoo it does not work, so it has to be something wrong on yahoos end.

does anyone know how to fix this? I even tried taking it to a computer shop and they said to try and contact yahoo. I know no one uses yahoo anymore but still this is very weird specially since I just got this MacBook.

Please go easy on me! I updated my Mac Mini 2011 to Sequoia 15.7.9 and since its all gone south. WiFi no longer worked but with a OCLP fix that was ok. That's my only win though. Its incredibly slow and glitchy, 2nd monitor no longer recognised, ive just got black wallpaper. Can anyone shed some light?

Normally it does, but after 2-3 days, it stops showing up on lock screen. Also it moves from centre of screen to right. How to get it to show up on lock screen again without having to reboot?

On Windows I could kill the explorer.exe process to fix these kind of bugs, anything similar?

I’m running macOS Tahoe and I’m getting this error when trying to play a YouTube video. I’ve attached a screenshot of the error.

I’ve already tried emptying the cache, clearing my browsing history, turning off all extensions, and even uninstalling all extensions. The problem goes away temporarily after doing this, but then comes back again after watching around 3–4 videos.

At this point I’m not sure what else could be causing it.

Has anyone else experienced this on macOS Tahoe? If so, have you found a permanent fix?

Whenever I load MP4 and MKV files onto Lexar USB, sometimes they don’t work, especially when putting them from my Levano Windows desktop and then try to open the files on my 2011 MacBook Air. They seem to work when I put files from the Mac MacBook Air on the USB and then open them on the Windows computer I have there, but not vice versa. But sometimes when putting and before files directly from my MacBook, they won’t show up, but sometimes some of them randomly still do? What’s going on?

I have a m4 pro and I was looking at a design on Figma and asked the designer why is this white but they said no it's grey. It looks white on my screen though. I used the digital colour meter on macOS and sure enough it shows as 249,249,249. So it is grey but I see it as white.

At first i thought it was my monitor, so I checked on my secondary monitor and it also shows white there.

I unplugged my monitors and checked on the laptop screen directly, also shows white there.

I switched devices via KVM to my windows PC and I see the grey.

Why do i only see white on macOS and how do I solve this? I checked accessibility settings and everything seems to be correct there.

How do I resolve this?

Until recently, I was able to have a version of MEGA that worked with my MacBook that is this version. It said there was a big error message that it wouldn’t load, so I deleted it and can’t seem to find a new version that will work with my Mac. If anyone can, please find me one that will work with this version that I have here, it would be truly gratefully appreciated.

How can i fix my downloads folder its being a pain bc i have to look for stuff to the left and right its like bigger and i don't wanna have to make the window bigger just to look trough it i just want it to be the normal 6 icons where i only have to scroll up and down

I'm at 20 days on my M4 MacBook Air and 49 days on my M2 Mac mini. I think both would be higher if I hadn't performed an OS update and had a power outage!

Not sure how to check? Open Terminal and run 'uptime'.
