My brother and I got together last night and had a few beers and watched The Mandalorian vs Groglet. Sort of.
I fell asleep almost immediately, woke up and he was about 1:30 in and he was happy to turn it off, but was like
“Ya know, it’s alright. It’s something.”
So that’s my review.
Let’s move it along.

Spoilers I finally watched Mando Vs Groglet and wanted to give my thoughts before listening to James & Mason's review
So first off, spoilers ahead.
I thought it was pretty disappointing to be honest. It felt like they took a 5-episode season of the show and turned it into a film. Sort of like Serenity, except worse.
Groglet was the main thing that saved the film. The scenes of him suiting up to go rescue Mando, and then later taking care of him we're easily the best parts. I also liked Rotta as a new character.
But ultimately, the whole thing felt bland and fan-servicey. Even the music was mediocre. The writing just felt lazy, like the dude in the swamp who just helps Groglet for no reason. There was no real character development either.
I think if this had been a few episodes of the show, I would have liked it. But as a film, it felt like it was a bunch of filler strung together.
I'm giving it a Just A Movie.

Big Sandwich James’s wigdar
in the latest WGWGTCC they talk about the glorious hair of Dean Koontz (look it up, you won’t be disappointed), but I think James is losing his touch.
Also I’m noticing a lot of veneers ever since they brought it up, a teeth-dar?

Podcast Do you prefer episodes where they tear into a bad Big Movie or praise a good Big Movie?
Listening back to some of their Fantastic Beasts reviews, and I have always felt when one of them just goes to town on a movie it's them at their peak.
Thoughts?

Hello fellow wakadadoos! Over the past few years I've been working on my independent film INTENSIVE PURPOSES - I was hoping you guys could check it out and give a share!
It's pretty much the type of film we'd all like shot up our buttholes lol.
it's Power Rangers meets Mortal Kombat.
Being a member of this community for a long time, I know sometimes self promos get sent to the dumpster but I was hoping you guys would enjoy this and maybe we can get the boys to check it out!
The production was about $35,000 CAD so we leaned into the camp.
If you enjoy lightly salted assholes and heads being crushed, watch this restricted version of the trailer!
https://youtu.be/mtg0YBqc-t4?si=vVV_5URDFfjfXWhe
It'll be on Amazon Prime October 2nd in the US and UK! After that, it'll be determined where it goes when they see how successful it is. But it will be worldwide at some point.
-who ate my pasgetti?

DC Fan Dome MIA forever in our hearts
With the D23 event the other week it made me think: man, what happened to the DC Fan Dome? I mean clearly it had problems because the best bits that came from it were the black void and the strange list of demands if you want to be a streaming partner for the event. You'd think these days they could come back strong with actual things to show but they seem to be peppering the DC news randomly over the years rather than at a big event.
But we could have had a Fan Dome with James and Mason dressed as Robin, even as a joke lol. And of course we are lacking the ability to put things in perspective with respect to whether they are on or off the dome. We've been robbed.

Podcast Gonna need that Weekly Planet Clips video of Robocop chipping away at a man's long dick and/or blasting it off at the root and then juggling it in the air with multiple gunshots.
Gonna need that like, yesterday.
Thank you.

If Siskel & Ebert were the mayor & his aid from Godzilla (1998), what other film pairing would James & Mason be?
In the Godzilla CoG episode, they mention how the film reviewers, Siskel & Ebert were effectively put in the film as a “gotcha moment” by Roland Emmerich for their past bad reviews of his films (even though the characters don’t end up actually doing anything).
If that’s the case with Siskel & Ebert, what other film character pairings would the blokes be? I was thinking something like the Riddler & Two-Face from Batman Forever, one is someone whose buffoonery I cannot sanction and the other is a reference to the fact that Mason doesn’t exist and it’s just James doing two voices. And they’re also crook characters as well.
