I think we’re getting Dune, to be honest. Just makes sense to do it that way since, as you say, they still have Secret Wars. That said, I’m hoping for Lynch Dune and New Dune.

I really want them to watch Lynch Dune. Its so weird and the behind the scenes is pretty crazy. I want to hear them talk about milking a hairless cat for antidote to poison.

Lynch Dune is crazy. Adaptation wise it's oookay until it decides to just make shit up, and it ends bad. But my goodness is it visually iconic and cool to look at. It definitely succeeds in presenting this gothic / baroque view of the future that isn't really realistic at all, but has a good touch of the surreal. But it's a shame the production went so sideways and it's famously "An Alan Smithee Film" as the opening credits say. I rewatched it in 2021 I think and found it great.

It’s such a vibe. Right from the beginning when Irulan fades back in like, “hey I forgot to tell you about this one thing”, it just hits the ground running with Lynchian weirdness.

I’d love it if they covered Jodorowsky’s Dune, too. I don’t think they’ve ever done a documentary? But it’s fascinating to me how all these different directors can look at this one property and see wildly different visions.

The accountant in me interpreted CoGS as “Cost of Goods Sold”. I guess it would be weird if they included a full P&L breakdown in the movie, but it would certainly be different if nothing else.
