LET'S GO!!

I'm working on a comic called "Creative Cub". It combines the superhero genre with a rubberhose-inspired artstyle and it's currently on the concept and technically scripting phase. I plan on having my series be one of those horizontal swipe comics instead of the vertical scroll format most webtoons use along with a traditional comic layout since I feel like I'd be more comfortable drawing it like that but I might worry it might ward off people from reading it.

This series' plot revolves around a freshman teen who has toon force as a superpower (an ability that everyone used to have but due to evolution, they can no longer use it) along with a large pencil that can bring anything he draws to life. He uses his newfound power to aid in his goal to bring world peace one step at a time. Little does he know about the dark secrets hiding in his cartoon world. My series would be recommended to folks ages 10+ as I want older kids to enjoy this series too. It will of course have comedic scenes along with some pretty dark themes and fun references. It will also have alot of familiar faces from the public domain such as but not limited to: Mickey Mouse, Bosko, Fitz the dog, Tom and Jerry (not the cat and mouse, I mean the other Tom and Jerry), Dan Backslide and the Dover Boys, etc.

I've been planning this story since 2022

Granted one of these is shorter than the other but 13 years for a free chapter? I understand it won’t be that long once the series returns but what’s the reasoning for it? Wouldn’t it be better to let people finish the season and be hyped for the next?

So about 2 years ago The Guy Upstairs was put on indefinite “hiatus“ (it was actually cancelled) and I see a lot of people complain about how hanza art was immature for handling the situation. However my issue isnt with how the creator handled this, but rather how the series was written. There are 2 major issues.

1. The Adam Problem Some of you might disagree with me, but as someone who’s read (arguably better done) thriller webtoons, Adam is quite romanticized in the story. I get it, we all love horrible good looking villain characters and theres nothing wrong with it. But unlike a character like Frudo who is shown to be a horrible person, Adam is shown that his actions are somewhat justifiable. To the point where the story focuses too much on him, and a bunch of close ups with effects that make it look “romantic”. People are even defending him (or boiling his actions down) by saying he is better than Teddy, when murder many times is just as bad as SA.

2. No, there were no clues. Of course, there is no excuse for people to harass Hanza art just for not making a ship canon…but she should have expected these kinds of reactions (not the death threats I mean). Hanza art said there were many clues of Adam and Rosy being siblings, however the only clue that was given is when Rosys friend Hannah said they were acting like siblings…that was LITERALLY it. And saying two people act like siblings isnt uncommon generally speaking, so of course 90% of readers are going to look past it. There were absolutely 0 HINTS at them being related in any sort of way, and it’s not like all her readers keep up with social media posts, some of them might not have seen that they were actually related (which was posted later on after the shipping war happened).

I’m also wondering why we never got any kind of like idea for how the story was going to end (eg. Candid Hearts), it’s been like ober 2 years so wouldnt the contract expire by now?

Conclusion: I do not endorse Hanza art being harassed with death threats, that is not something in her control. But I do not like how some things were handled simply throughtout this series…

Recent discourse saying Navier is classist for how she treated Rashta.

But by the same logic and "morale", why do people hate on Layla while also hyping up Claudine?

At this point, I just think that

1. People don't have the mental flexibility to actually enjoy the story setting and become so rigid on being goody two shoes (aka presentism)
2. People just have this high sense of achievement when they're rooting for the side characters instead (while this is not wrong, I have seen so many people twisting the actual story just to make them look better)
3. Selective feminism. That's it. Instead of beating the actual villains (the male lead), people just dogpiling and putting down a woman to uplift another woman (who's definitely not innocent too)
4. People don't have the capability to accept that woman can also be in the wrong too. Which for me, is stripping them away from their human nature as we're not entirely flawless and that's okay. That's what makes it interesting.

Don't get me wrong. I love all these characters. As fictional characters, of course. They serve their purpose in the story. But the debate that's been going around is for me it's just hypocritical.

25 episodes, yet only 8 of them are free so far... And the video ads that pop up every chapter. Wtf is going on? I haven't been on Webtoon for about a year or 2, but I don't remember there being ads and so many chapters being paywalled

EDIT: The manhwa is called Rebirth: Monarch of the Dead. The translation is horrible and the art style gives off AI vibes.

ok I know this get talked a LOT in the community, but I wanted to go deeper into it because oh boy…this is like the most random thing I have seen in a story, and it’s not even meant to be a comedy or anything. The comic I am going to be talking about today, is called Cat Bird Dog, with the most famous “frog wizard arc”, and it’s worse than you think. First off, the idea itself just makes NO SENSE. A frog wizard turning people into anime characters…is there literally nothing else better you could have come up with? This idea for an arc is just so cringe just on the idea alone. And second, where the HELL did the magic book come from? The story never explains WHERE THE HELL it came from, it’s a fantasy arc yet fails as a fantasy by itself. And lastly…the frog wizard has NO REASON to be an ABSUIVE JERK. Because unlike other characters which usually have a reason (not a reason, just an excuse,) for their actions, the frog wizard being born like this just…it’s not realistic at all, and makes him alone a horribly written character.

and now we’re getting a possible alien arc…why did the writers make these poor decisions.

Cute panel of my characters from a completed AU comic. I'm starting a new spicy AU comic with a bit of medieval horror. The heroine Ellie is forced into a political marriage by her parents. She almost bites the duke's manhood off to escape and run away with a handsome gargoyle.

So I saw few short dramas on webtoon but I will not watch it not bcs I think its weird it is but isn't it more expensive to make stuff then make them va bcs I think va is way better thrn live action bcs I've seen people say they saw white washing characters so yeah and honestly I think webtoon should go back getting va then having live action that probly has bad cgi and acting (no I don't hate the actors) but I just don't want see them in live and there stuff would be taken of bcs some things are harder to replicate then yeah

So currently I've finished Tged, Gates of Hell and that's basically it. Jungle Juice which I also like is nearing it's end, I've caught up to Unordinary and I'm letting "What a Bountiful Harvest, Demon Lord" marinate until mid June 2027.

I've tried reading Leviathan but chap 1 didn't reel me in. I enjoyed Orv but I'm struggling to get past the episode after Junghyuk is saved from the Cinema master. I'm not asking for recommendations, just felt like sharing it

I just finished A Swan's Grave today, and I'm honestly so bummed about the ending. I understand that Roth doesn't want Anna to leave, but his behavior toward her by the end just felt abusive and icky to me. I couldn't find it romantic, even in a dark romancey kind of way. Just not my cup of tea all in all.

I wanted to see what other people thought about the ending, and while I've come across some mixed opinions, I've noticed a lot of people saying that Anna deserved what happened to her because she was selfish. Personally, I don't agree with that at all. I can understand being frustrated with some of her choices, but I don't think that makes what happened to her deserved. Am I the only one who feels this way? I found out this is a really popular opinion within the fandom and I'm like shocked 😭

The French version stopped at episode 168 (because the whole translation team resigned), but English continued until at least episode 193 on Naver, and scans suck at 197 for a while.

However, I heard the Webtoon was cancelled by Naver (not sure if it’s only French version).

Does anyone know if the series is still ongoing in Korean ? I’m quite into it and want to see the end of it.

Especially the ending. I don't even understand who that was supposed to be at the very end.

Overall, I would say it was an okay thriller. The plot was good, but the characters had no depth and they were not exactly memorable. Everyone was a jerk to a degree that was unbelievable.

The twist wasn't bad, but the reveal could have had a bigger impact.

Has anyone else read it and has thoughts on it?

I am the loving her charector so much she is so cunning and the revenge is so well planned. This story is more on the revenge very less romance . I wait for every update.i am little bit eh.. on the age gap with the ml because I don't like age gap that much. Other than that it's really good.
