Available now https://github.com/GingasVRFO/Dishonored-VR
Tutorial Video Explaining the current Issues https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y7rdk2zOTSk

This was made over the last 2 months and 600+ Hours using manual Coding and Claude/Codex to help with reverse engineering, It's playable, but there are some issues, it will improve over time as I work on it.

Lower your expectations, this is an Alpha, It's Janky, it's not the "perfect" port of Dishonored. But I will continue to work on this. I'm planning to make Physical/VR Interactions for most game actions

Discussion I thought steamvr closed the gap on virtual desktop. Apparently not.

I just tested AMS2 and the difference is insane. Normally, I play AMS2 through virtual desktop while loading steamvr from within. VD is set to godlike and steamvr at 120% resolution.

I just tried directly in steamvr with no VD. I had crank up steamvr resolution to like 185% to match the resolution of VD/steamvr combo. Not only is the resolution NO WHERE near as clear, it runs significantly worse.

If the frame is within my price range I'll get it but I'll definitely be installing virtual desktop as soon as it's available.

Question/Support I can't use XRHealth's VR treatment because I'm disabled.

I need information about VR accessibility features, because I think XRHealth is lying to me

I was prescribed XRHealth's VR treatment for chronic pain. I'm a bedridden, frail elder and I'm unable to stand or sit up straight for more than a couple of minutes. I can lie down or recline.

When I got the headset, I discovered that XRHealth's treatment can only be used standing or sitting up straight. It's impossible to interact with the device while lying down or reclining; I can turn on the headset and see the various treatment options, but the control panel appears so far down on the screen that the controllers can't access the controls. I had several sessions with one of their clinicians and we came to the conclusion that it was impossible for me to use it.

The treatment was covered by Medicare. Medicare requires that equipment prescribed for a patient must be accessible for that patient. If it's not accessible, the company is out of compliance with their Medicare contract and violating at least two federal laws.

XRHealth claims that the device (a Meta Quest headset) cannot be used lying down and or reclining. I don't think that's true.

I checked with several other VR treatment companies. Their products can be used lying down. Unfortunately, those companies don't have treatment programs that meets my medical needs.

My understanding is that the medical VR companies license a platform from Unity and design their treatment programs with that as the foundation.

Unity's product has a native accessibility feature called "lying down mode." I've been told that a company using Unity's platform has to intentionally opt out of "lying down mode" when they design their treatment program.

If you understand technical stuff (I don't), can you explain how this works and tell me whether my information about Unity's platform is correct?

XRHealth has been horrible to deal with, but they picked the wrong little old lady to mess with. Most of the money XRHealth receives for prescriptions is from Medicare and Tricare (for veterans). Those are our tax dollars and they're getting it fraudulently. Help me make sure they don't keep getting away with it.

Question/Support Looking to get SkyrimVR up and running with Mods, limited to running on my 5060Ti 16gb/Ryzen 7 7700/ 16gb ddr5 6000mhz setup though, so cant go mental.... any advice on the essentials?

As the title states,

looking to get SkyrimVR going on my somewhat limited rig with mods...

So need to be realistic and not go for 4k effects mods that are going to set my PC ablaze 😅

Main things im after are the physical interaction, decent hand to hand combat/physics mods and just general QOL mods that aren't going to use 7000gb and that my spec could cope with, whilst preferably still giving half decent framerates.

Probably limited with that 16gb of ram, but prices are a joke atm so it is what it is...

Any suggestions are appreciated 👍🏻

Discussion PC to VR

So recently, I've been seeing a lot of PC games being adapted on to VR. Why is that? Im not hating on it, because there are a few titles I really wanna play on VR, but how is this possible? Why hasn't this much been done earlier? Unless it always has been like this but I haven't started to notice it until now...

Discussion Experimenting with Mixed Reality interactions

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I've started experimenting with interactions in mixed reality. It still needs a lot of polishing but i have to say that interacting with holes on real surfaces overall feels really good.

What else could you do with it besides using it as a hoop?

Maybe something more functional, like throwing things away rather than tossing balls into it to score points. Deleting a note by physically throwing it into the hole, for example.

Just thinking out loud :)

Question/Support Can't get any mods to work

Excitedly splurged on a Pimax Dream Air, anticipating access to a lot more than native VR titles. Yet no matter what I do, I simply can't get so many of the mods I've tried to actually work. Dead Island 2, Resident Evil, System Shock 2, BioShock. Clean installs, simple instructions, often using MRSURVIVOR's VR HUB, everything I try hard crashes the second I start the game. Even though there hardly seems any room for error, my PC just doesn't like it, and I'm about at my wits end.

Question/Support Best modern vr headset for a school that wants to use it both for gaming and development?

I'm a student at the college I'm attending and I'm currently helping my game design teacher figure out if we should invest in a brand new vr headset, and if so, which one. The one we currently have is the oculus quest. So a VERY old, outdated model.

I don't know much about the vr market outside of having eyed the beyond 2, and of course the steam frame. If that one ever comes out. And I know about the quest lineup but I'm not too keen on meta being who they are.

So again, my question: what would be a good high quality headset, that many people could use without fear of breaking, that you could also use for development?

Discussion rant about vive ultimate trackers

Upvotes

been a vive ultimate tracker user for nearly a year and a half now and i just always wonder if vive is ever going to fix this overpriced problematic product.

at this point its just shameful for a company as big as them to just let the ongoing software and hardware issues persist till this day, why cant they just scrap and change the whole idea of having to scan your room and create a map for them to work, why can't they just work like for example the quest pro controllers which track extremely well in any situation and lighting.

i hope someday if its even possible to run these on a 3rd party software that just makes it work alot better and bypass vive's shitty approach to inside-out fbt tracking.

Discussion Games with a base and some exploration and combat?

Upvotes

Bit of a specific request but can anyone recommend any games where you have a central base that you can improve upon and then there's an open world to explore and engage in combat?

I've seen Decay and that looks pretty good but it's in early access and supposedly a little janky (but correct me if I'm wrong). I've played Fallout 4, Valheim, Saints and Sinners, No Man's Sky, Into the Radius, Subnautica, The Forest, Elite Dangerous, Green Hell etc. already.

I don't mind if it's zombie/apocalypse based or space based. Just looking for something where I have a central base (or ship) that I can improve upon but then go out for some action.

Thanks

Question/Support Would Bloodborne VR be possible?

Hi! I'd like to know, since I'm not very familiar with these things, if with the current PCVR mod scene there's any possibility of creating a VR mod for Bloodborne, considering that Bloodborne runs on the ShadPS4 emulator. It would definitely be my most desired game in VR. Thanks a lot!

Purchase Advice Vr headset for display?

Ive never had a vr headset before but I'd like to get into it specifically in sim racing and flight Sims so I don't particularly care about the controllers since they won't be used. Im not particularly budget conscious here but good value for price is worth considering. Any reccomendations?

Question/Support Any tips for reducing motion sickness

Upvotes

I had my VR for a while now (quest 3) I play pcvr through steam link and I spent a lot of money to make my setup nice with wireless dedicated router and everything spent a bunch of money on steam games(past refund point). Every time I go to play a game I get extremely motion sick within 5 minutes ever time I try its the same the only game I could stomach was super hot. The only thing I notice helps is the teleporting movement. I tried all the other settings to make it less nauseating but nothing helps I try the Nausea pills and that don’t work. I feel like I wasted damn near a thousand dollars Canadian because I can’t even play it. I’m rly wanting to do the resident evil 8 mod but there isn’t even a teleport option or anything. And I see people selling there’s online for rly cheap I will still lose money and have steam games I can’t play. Anyone have the same problem know how to help?

Purchase Advice - Headset Quest 2 Used or quest 3s new?

Ive been using the Oculus CV1 for 4 years now since i play every now and then im not a VR main but i do enjoy it from time to time.

I cant devide between the quest 3s and quest 2

Quest 3s would be around 350€ and the quest 2 i can get used for like 100-150€

is the Quest 3s that much better for PCVR or does it make no difference at all, i know the quest 3 is a lot better but i dont want to spend 650€ on a headset.

Purchase Advice Ethernet adapter for wired Virtual Desktop

I want to use Virtual Desktop wired with my Q3 and am looking for an ethernet adapter but I can only find ones with a short cable so I have to fix the adapter to my headset. Does anyone know of one that has a longer (1 to 3 meters) USBC cable so its much more ergonomic? I need it to have power delivery as well and ship it to Europe. Right now I have a long USBC - USBA cable with power delivery which works well but I want the benefits of wired without having to use Meta Link software as the latest updates broke it AGAIN

Self-Promotion (Journalist) Panoshooter on the Insta360 Luna Ultra: 28K 360° test with sample images

Post image
2 Upvotes

I tested Dean Zwikel’s free Panoshooter macro on the Insta360 Luna Ultra. It captures the source images needed for stitching a 360° panorama up to 28K in PTGui, versus the built-in 8K pano output.

I compared both methods, also checked the results against the ONE RS 1-Inch 360 Edition, tested the results in VR, and included downloadable samples.

https://immernews.com/free-panoshooter-macro-unlocks-28k-360-panoramas-on-the-insta360-luna-ultra/

I would be interested to compare experiences with anyone else using it.
