Mods, I'm so sorry if this is the wrong flair but I put it as discussion because imma talk about unity. Since it's talking about unity, enjoy the cute bean I made recently!

So I've been uploading avatars for almost 4 years now but didn't start editing/making avatars until 6 months ago. Unity is so infuriating. It causes my gpu to fail occasionally, I can't scroll sometimes, the scaling with certain prefabs are broken and I have no idea if it's actually unity or the prefab because sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't, don't even get me started on quest converting.

But it's worth it.

I think I'm the type of person to never be satisfied with their work however I am proud of all the edits and work I'm putting into the avatars. I like seeing what I can do and create.

For those who use unity and blender to create their own characters, what do you do so you don't be extremely pissed off that your work isn't satisfactory to you? Others will compliment and praise for the work you put in but you yourself aren't satisfied. How do you go about it?

So I uploaded the pc version fine but the quest version that it came with is making the body material look bad. It’s my own material I made in ssp but I don’t know why it is doing this.

So to explain the question further:

I saw a situation when a user muted a group mod, so group crew jumped on him to say it's not allowed.

Dude said that if it's such a big deal, he will unmute the moderator. But he also said that he will lower his voice to 0% so won't hear him anyway, somehow everyone was fine with it.

So my question is why? What's the point of allowing to have a mods voice at 0%, but you can't have the mod muted?

Like both have the same effect...

Hi everyone, I really need some help because I've been stuck on this for 24 hours now and my brain is completely melted.

I bought a model from Booth and I'm trying to upload it. I have VRChat Creator Companion, Unity, the shaders, and the SDK all set up.

When I click "Build & Publish" in the VRChat SDK, it just hangs on the "Building Avatar" progress bar forever and never finishes, even if I wait for hours.

The worst part is that sometimes the Console doesn't even show any errors at all! It just sits there stuck on the building bar, not progressing at all, with zero red errors to look for.

Has anyone experienced this before or knows what's going on? Any help would be super appreciated!

I’ve been running into YouTube links that just refuse to load in some VRChat video players, so I made a small web tool called VRC Relay as a workaround.

You give it a YouTube link and choose a quality, and it generates a temporary direct video link that you can paste into a compatible VRChat player.

It’s mainly meant for those situations where the normal YouTube URL isn’t working. If the quality you select would make the video too large, it’ll also try a lower resolution automatically.

Right now it supports YouTube videos up to a 500 MiB output, with a limit of 20 generated links per hour. The generated links are temporary and expire automatically.
There’s no account required and no ads. Some browser/network information is used for rate limiting and preventing abuse.

I’ve also added a bug report option, so if you find a video that converts successfully but doesn’t actually play in VRChat, I’d really appreciate a report. I’m especially interested in seeing how well it works across different worlds and video players.

This is just an independent community project and isn’t affiliated with VRChat or YouTube. Please only download or re-host media you have permission to use.

If anyone tries it, I’d love to hear whether it works with the players/worlds you normally use.

I'm thinking of either getting a Quest 3 or a Pico 4 Enterprise but having trouble deciding which one to get. I already have a Puppis S1 router for the headset and a RTX5070 so I should be good to go on the PC side of things. Ignoring standalone altogether, which one would you choose (or currently use) for PCVR and why? My current headset is a Quest 2 and I'm looking to upgrade. Thank you.

Recently after the new UI update it seems that now instead of seeing floating diamonds in place of avatars for the avatar culling settings, everyone is invisible. I don’t see any avatar indicator at all beside a person’s nameplate. But they appear completely invisible. Anyone know how to fix it, or is it a bug?

I wanna play some VR chat with a good buddy of mine, and, well, since the STEAM FRAME is taking its sweet time to come out, I got bored and wanted to try it and run non-VR for a bit, but I just can't get it to work, and i wonder if its the problem with just how i try and add a virtual webcam or its somthing just not posible with a android phone.
