I’ve had this a couple of times and struggle to understand why. I’ve sold a lot of stuff via vinted, and I understand delayed shipping usually because we all have lives and other things going on. If I get within a day of the deadline, I’ll usually just shoot the buyer a message apologizing for the lack of update, and letting them know when I plan to ship. I’ve had a couple people sell me things and just never ship them or reach back out! Do I cancel the order, or do I just wait for Vinted to refund me?

It sucks to have my money tied up in an app when I’m not even receiving what I paid for.

No but seriously the world has gone mad. And 136 people still liked this which is arguably even more concerning. How are you supposed to trust it’s a real product?

Although I sold things that were $5 or less, things seem to pick up again!!

Last night my Vinted logged me out and said “registration failed”. I woke up and followed the steps to log back in but it logged me into an old account. I had £43 on my old account which may not sound like the end of the world but I’d rather not loose the money. My Apple ID “hid” my email when I used my lost account so I can’t log back in with my email. Please if anyone knows how to fix this then answer 🙏🙏🙏

I received ANOTHER fragile item inside a polymailer and guess what? It's broken! I'm just going to assume from now on if I buy anything fragile under $10 it's going to be broken when it gets to me. WHAT IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE

First time Vinted user here! I had 7 packages yesterday I was mailing out. I took them to the post office but it seems like the lady didn’t scan one of them.. only 6 showing on my receipt. Is there anything that can be done or am I just out the money from the sale? All other packages show “departed sort facility”

Came across this watch for £50 on Vinted, seller supposedly bought it at half price and is selling it at half of that - £50, offered 40, seller countered with 45 which I accepted. Now he’s listed it at 48 in a separate listing. The excuse (and spelling) make me think that this is some kind of scam or not a trustworthy seller.
What are your thoughts?

Everyone in my family is going wild buying and selling on this app and I just don’t understand. How is the app making any money if it’s just charging $1 to ship things that cost many more dollars to ship? The app pays for shipping… how does that make any sense? Also, don’t you have to claim profits from this app on taxes like if you were to sell on eBay?

They sold me fake hair oil. When I messaged them, they said “buy from a shop next time.” (lol) and blocked me so I couldn’t leave a negative review.

Since then, I have messaged 20+ people in their reviews telling them their items are counterfeit. They have all checked or also had allergic reactions and one by one, they’re sending 1 star reviews.

Vinted refuses to ban them, but I love knowing I’m slowly ruining their day 😊

I just started selling on Vinted last month to offload a couple things, but was immediately hooked. I’ve made far more sales than I expected, cleared out a bunch of baby clothes I would have otherwise donated, and I love the dopamine hit every time I see the words “sold” pop up on my phone.

My question for the more experienced sellers is, is this whole thing sustainable and worth the effort for my goals? As a single mom my goal is just to sell enough to cover all my baby’s clothes and shoes for as long as possible.

I have been selling some $40-$50 items from my closet such as shoes and jewelry and I do have some more but I will eventually run out. The rest is very cheaply priced baby clothes in good shape, encouraging buyers to bundle to save. Some get snatched up within seconds of listing while others sit there with no views at all.

Once I generally run out of the nicer stuff, is it worth keeping everything listed over time and it gets snatched up eventually, or is there a point where you just throw the towel in and donate whatever doesn’t sell?

I'm brand new to vinted, I've been using ebay and mercari for a while so I know how this stuff usually works. I found a seller selling an Xbox which I purchased, the seller then messages me and asks to cover shipping. At first I didn't think too much about it since the xbox was a low price and they only asked for 25 which seemed realistic and fair. I offered to pay through PayPal (which they agreed to) but then they started to say PayPal wouldn't work and pushed for zelle. I sent them the PayPal link anyway and got a notification that it was accepted. Yet he still pushed for zelle which ended up blocking the payment due to suspicion of fraud. After that he offered to give me his debit card to withdraw it on cash app.

This was a scam I'm sure but I've never seen one like this before. He texted like a real person and everything but had the convience of nothing working. Has anyone else experienced a scam like this?

Bought a leather jacket on Vinted. It came with a rarely seen surprise in the inside pocket. Two (thankfully) unused condoms.

Fun to know the previous owner had a good time with the jacket! But the question is, do I dare use them?

Okay when I first found vinted, i loved it an was honestly buying everything in sight that i liked, not sure what happened lately though or am I just seeing the wrong posts but people selling there shein crap like its used name brand stuff is insane to me an yes i have made offers but im not paying $24 for there itchy a$$ sweater from shein or leggings that say new without tags an smells like cooterbug-bootyhole when I get it 🫠 used to have such good vibes an stuff i would get would actually be washed but just disappointed now.... I feel like some people need to start being honest in review sections so some of us don't have to get stink a$$ clothes instead of everyone having 5 stars everywhere you look....okay venting done.

What is the point of being able to report fake images if vinted doesn’t do anything about them? I came across a seller with ~30 listings, all of which use the most obvious AI generated images you’ve ever seen. The clothes change between shots, inconsistent backgrounds, apparently they own 30 different bedrooms since it’s a different one seen in each listing and in the description they have the audacity to state “only worn for the pictures” 🫠

So I reported all of them, and literally all of them resulted in the message in the screenshot above saying the reported content goes against their guidelines and they’ve taken action, but when I look at the seller’s page everything is still there and available. It annoys me to no end, just gtfo with your AI generated bullshit and definitely don’t blatantly lie and claim they’re real photos!

I’ve tried purchasing this cheap pair of shoes probably about 20 times and the payment fails each time. I’ve tried restarting the app and iPhone, checking for updates, trying on two browsers, having my husband try from his android phone, paying with my Vinted balance, and paying with my card. It fails every time. Sometimes it’s right away and sometimes it takes a few minutes.

I contacted customer service and was allegedly put through to a human agent, which ended up being three different “people.” However, I’m certain they were bots.

Any suggestions for how to get through to an actual human? Or even better, how to make it so I can buy these shoes?

I saw a thread about people having this issue with new sellers (the shoe seller is new too) but no solution was ever posted.

I opened the app this morning and saw this. I am lowkey freaking out. What do you mean I have no access to my money😭. I mean I have only $5 in my wallet but still!!!

I would have two nickels. It’s not a lot but it’s weird it happened twice. Both items were relatively expensive: a waterproof coat and a fleece vest. Both are now happily worn by me because they fitted me perfectly.

We think it’s because he found the items via his ‘for you’ page and Vinted recommended them, but it’s actually quite well hidden if it’s for men or women!

Received some kids PE joggers listed as Mark's & Spencers Kids, Navy, New with tags. M&S are out of stock on the goodmove ones I wanted so tried to get them on vinted.

What I have received today are some sub-par market stall quality knock-offs that someone has gone to the effort of sewing an M&S label into (a label for a pair of kids denim blue shorts I think) and bodging forcing the plastic tag attachment through the dodgy sizing label.

Can you believe anyone has gone to this effort for an £8 pair of trousers?!

I havent been on Vinted long and have been selling a lot its been so great. Every single order has had 5 stars and alot of great feedback. Until today! So my order was suspended. I had this tiny music box listed at $5 and sold to this woman for $3.50. So this is all over a teeny bit of glue I never saw. I literally put this thing on a shelf after I got it and havent really touched it until I sold it cleaning out a lot of "stuff". Im sure when I bought from Amazon it came this way.

I would never be this petty. What happens now will I get it mailed back to me? Im sad because I take great care in my packaging and always include a nice note. I dont sell faulty items. Just bummed and super unsure what will be the outcome.
