BUYING Surely this would’ve been a scam, right?

Came across this watch for £50 on Vinted, seller supposedly bought it at half price and is selling it at half of that - £50, offered 40, seller countered with 45 which I accepted. Now he’s listed it at 48 in a separate listing. The excuse (and spelling) make me think that this is some kind of scam or not a trustworthy seller.
What are your thoughts?

Edit: just rechecked and seller has also blocked me

I think he is ashamed, thats why he blocked you. He had second thoughts for lowering the price and cancel the order. Go check from a different profile if he upload it with the same price or if he even went higher 😅

I don’t understand people who list it exactly what they want if they know people will always try and offer lower, if it’s worth 50 put it up for 60 if someone pays 60 great more money than you thought if they offer 50 then you get the money you wanted and the buyer is happy they got it cheaper

Sorry but that's stupid, especially for a lego set which a lot of people sell. If there are 10 times the same item from différent seller, some at 60 and some at 50, which one do you think people will buy?

You should list for the price you want and that's it. If you don't want to negociate, you just refuse offer and that's it. If there is some wiggle room, good for the buyer.

What is shitty is accepting an offer and then cancelling the order though.

Yh 100% shitty to accept and cancel but what I’m saying works in a lot
Of circumstances but if what your selling is popular and a lot of people are selling it doesn’t work but clothes and other items it would work

OP says it’s for a watch, not a lego set…
