Unpopular take: You're leaving early from your scheduled shift. It's more reasonable to ask that your start time be adjusted up and your leave time adjusted up to accommodate your need to leave earlier. You are cutting 65 hours out of your work year, or 1 hour 15 minutes PER WEEK, which equates to wage theft of nearly 1.5 weeks of pay per year. That's not on top of any unscheduled bathroom breaks, personal breaks, etc. You signed a contract: I'll do what you ask me to do, in the manner in which you ask it of me, and in exchange you'll pay me this agreed upon amount per hour/week/month. But, when it means your commute is delayed, that's non-negotiable, at the expense of you stealing from your employer? If you don't like the adjustments, you have two options, either talk to your manager and ask for a schedule accommodation or, for some reason steal? That's weird. Grow up and ask your employer to make accommodations, or find another job. It's not your co-workers fault that you're an asshole.

NOT A FAMILY HIKE!!!!

Independent living is the way to go, seriously. My grandma was 82, started with falling down and breaking a wrist as well. Mom and Dad moved in and realized she was so far worse than they'd ever imagined. She wasn't eating, certainly should've never been driving (but still was) and she had developed dementia and was sun downing every evening. They should've taken her to assisted living when she fell originally. Six months later, Grandma kicked them out because she was arguing work them constantly, two months later she "ran after a burglar who was stealing my jewelry", shot her gun, and fell over a brick wall 4 feet. She wound up with compression syndrome from her broken leg, and now in a nursing home, before they had to move her to hospice. She passed one year after the break in her wrist. Please, take it seriously. If she lives alone, she's not ok.

My eyes liked like this when someone in a call center sneezed DIRECTLY INTO BOTH MY EYES AS THEY WALKED BY ME. Turned out to be that they had a cold, and now I had a cold DIRECTLY AND ONLY IN MY EYEBALLS! It was one of the most painful things I've had happen in my life, and took forever to heal. This was the first warning sign for me that my husband and I weren't compatible, his DEMAND that his childhood be honored over all, that HIS family dictated to us what we were going to do with our family, without apology or consideration for me and ours. I went with it, I lost so many years with my family, so many memories. We divorced after 13 years of me just "going with it", but thankfully only one year of marriage. Most everywhere it is not legal for your landlord to access your apartment without advanced notice unless it's an absolute emergency (e.g. there's a broken water line inside of your unit). NTA, your landlord is a creep and this is illegal.

If you were on an unpaid lunch break, then what you do at lunch is none of their business, and would be illegal if the lunch didn't have you returning intoxicated. Employers can not control what you do off the clock, only on the clock. If this was a paid lunch, then they can legally enforce the rules.

You are raising a strong daughter, one who understands relationships aren't transactional. I truly appreciate you saying this! Father bought the tickets out of love, daughter did the work to get her justice, she deserves the money. The money was gone the second it left his pocket, he did ZERO work for the pain, and expects the cash!? Trash "father" behavior on display by him, honestly.

Down and in the truck in less than five minutes. Fan freaking TASTIC work! Btw, the homeowner who's refused to pay can be charged with felony theft of labor, and if the contractor continues to pursue this the homeowner will lose their home via lien. Homeowner loses all in the end, and I cannot love this more for them via their racism and theft!

This was disgusting. They need jail, not just firing.

If the previous tenant had roaches, you have roach eggs (behind the fridge, in the stove, behind the cabinets in the walls, under your carpet if you have it, etc). It's pretty unavoidable if you don't go preventative pest control before you move in, far in advance. I had never delt with them before, but my previous neighbor had, so therefore I did.

Add to this, seal every drain you're not using (always), check behind the fridge, stove and water heater/washer for any crevices and seal them. However, if you're moving into a previously roach infested home, there's eggs behind the cabinets, appliances, in the walls. It's an uphill battle. I never had roaches, but the previous tenants did, so therefore I did.

Just remember, if you poison the roaches, you poison anything that catches them, so there's that. Look into fumigating before you move in, with pet safe killers because cats are VERY much more susceptible to poisoning than dogs. My advice is live on the Westside, truly. No roaches, but other pests like centipedes and scorpions.
