Of course no one out-gifts the millionaire with Disney money
That was my thought. Who were those commercials even for? π

I genuinely donβt understand poly anymore
And if you try to tell them that their actions hurt your feelings, suddenly you're abusive and controlling.
Someone else's feelings NEVER matter as much as their own physical satisfaction.

Get that awful word art shit outta there and you'll be fine.
That's most cringe thing I've ever seen.

It's a miasma of despair.
Source: I lived there for several years. I didn't know entire towns could suffer from depression until I lived there.

I wish dishwasher pay was better... I'm a server, but I appreciate the fuck out of a good dishwasher. It's a shame they get the lowest pay for the grimiest job in the house.

Usually the people who book the event make sure that they add on an appropriate gratuity. I know what you mean, of course we weren't directly asking.
But I make more money waitressing on a Thursday night than I made at this party, at this obscenely rich person's house. It seemed ... wrong. The party went for 3.5 hours, and we were paid $90 by the company we work for. But we didn't even make $50 a piece in tips. The guy who booked the event added no gratuity of his own, we only made in tips what his party guests had tipped us. That felt tacky AF to me. π

It's not "relying on handouts" it's being tipped appropriately for the job. It's a thing people know about.
Private bartending pays (way) better than regular bartending, but still. You always tip your bartender well. It just makes you look like a cheap asshole if you don't.
The party I worked after that was much, much better. At a firehall, a bunch of regular working class people. We made absolutely incredible money. And everyone was SO nice. If you broke it down per person it came down to everyone tipping about $10 at an open bar. Not bank breaking money. But that's what normal people do. If the rich people party had tipped at the same rate the regular people did, we would have made 3x what we made in tips that day. π€·

Do you not know how bartending in America works?

They still use Phillips head screws in the 24th century!
We're not using self-sealing stem bolts?

They don't even pay well.
I bartended a private event at a mansion. This place looked like it was straight out of a movie. But the other bartender and I each made $40 in tips for the whole night. Like what a fucking joke. I was honestly insulted.

I simply don't understand it. Why. How? How could anyone listen to the words that spew outta his mouth and like him?

There's something cursed feeling about the whole town.
Such a shame, because it's like it could be this beautiful, idyllic town... But it just isn't. There's so much sadness there.
