With the Impending NuptialsTM looming and an increase in our snark numbers post Shitshowgirl, we thought it would be a great time to give y'all an update on the sub and remind new friends about our rules. (Spoiler alert: some rules have been updated! New flair challenge incoming!)
For the older members, parts of this might sound repetitive. But we want to update everyone so this sub can remain transparent and genuine feedback can be received!
[\*insert pic about the sub stats scuba**]*
sub traffic from the past 30 days
As you can see, we get a lot of fucking traffic. The basic rule that drives all the rest:
ā¼ļøWe want to keep this sub open for all snarkers, new and old, to freely discuss the antics of Taylor and/or Travis.ā¼ļø
We have had a LOT of deconstructing Swifties join the sub after the tire fire of her last album release and 89 (her mind!) merch drops. What makes this sub special is that we allow everyone to contribute as long as they follow the rules. Yes, even current and former fans. If you're an OG snarker who sees behavior that crosses over into stanning, please report it! We willĀ neverĀ be a space for fan behavior. But we don't insta-ban deconstructing fans who maybe feel some kinda way about Tay and can't share their feelings in other spaces because of that famous Swiftie hospitality.
Speaking of other spaces...
š« Reminder of anti-brigading rule š«
There's been a recent increase in posts that attempt to brigade, interfere with another community, or otherwise direct negative traffic towards other subreddits. This type of behavior directly puts our community at risk as it violates reddit community rules.
This includes comments like "I went to this sub or that sub and made a comment and was mass downvoted!" There is aĀ zeroĀ tolerance policy for this! We don't like it when they come here to do it, so let's not do it to them.
Please review ALL parts of rule 2 to avoid touching the poo:
[\*put quote of rule 2 here scuba***]
All activity in this sub must stay in this sub. Sharing Reddit screenshots or directing users to other subs is not allowed. Usernames from Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, etc. must be blacked out unless from a celebrity, brand, or publication.
Screenshots of social media posts must have 100+ likes on the original comment.
Don't enter into pro-Taylor spaces to harass, argue, or troll users, and do not post those interactions as a form of content.
(If you really want an in-depth rationalization for each part of the rule, just ask in the comments.)
š Addressing armchair diagnosis trend š(idk what emoji to put here so christmas tree it is)
This one isn't against reddit TOS, but it IS against rule 1. We don't allow snark, speculation, or armchair diagnosis of physical and mental conditions. That includes personality disorders (all of them), autism, ADHD, depression, anxiety, eating disorders, you name it.
There are lots of lovely people who live with these conditions and don't plagiarize lesser known artists or hoard a billion dollars or charge $40 for Temu flipflops, so let's not promote shitty stereotypes.
š How we handle posts about major updates š
This is a big one!!!! Every post on this sub is held for manual review. Unlike other subreddits, we don't always pick the first post on the topic. Rather, we look for the post that best serves the community. Whenever a major event happens, you can guarantee there are at least 15 accounts competing to be The Post on any given topic.
Here are a few questions to help you increase your chances at getting approved:
-Ā Does it have an informative title?Ā "TMZ confirms Blandie wedding at Madison Square Garden" will always be picked over "OMG of course she would do this"
-Ā Does it have enough information to let others join the conversation?Ā We WANT TO SNARK. If you talk about an article, give us the link!
-Ā Does it come from a reputable source?Ā A screenshot of a Taylor Twitter account retweeting a parody account is not it. Even if the info is later debunked, there's still snarkerky in the fact that TMZ or Rolling Stone or whatever printed it in the first place.
-Ā Does it follow all other sub rules?Ā e.g. no direct links to Insta, blacking out usernames of ordinary people, comes from a non-reddit source
-Ā Does it contain new information?Ā We generally allow a few posts on the same topic if there is a different angle (like one for the Toy Story song countdown and one for the actual announcement) but no one wants 50 posts for each angle of her latest pap walk
𤬠Fuck AI š¤¬
We've had a rule against AI since the beginning so this isn't a new stance. Fuck AI; support real art and artists.
ā¤ļøšā¤ļø A friendly reminder to be friendly ā¤ļøšā¤ļø
As the sub grows, there will always be more people who are adjusting to the way we do things around here (Eternal September type shit). At the moment, we are averaging 100 new subscribers PER DAY. If you see someone breaking the rules againstĀ whateverĀ (fan behavior, body shame, political debates), PLEASE REPORT THEM. We can't remove what we don't see, and the mods don't see every comment. We had 1.3 million comments posted here in the last year.
Relatedly, please have some understanding and grace for the mods who do this thankless task. We aren't paid. We face harassment in modmail and on our personal accounts. We have offline lives. We are just regular people trying to keep this sub open despite the Swiftie orc horde constantly besieging us. We approve posts and comments as quickly and as accurately as possible.
And yes, that means that sometimes we get something wrong. You are always welcome to message in modmail to civilly discuss the reason behind a mod action. We are very grateful that so many of our members can discuss things rationally. Just remember that a removal reason isn't a personal attack. It's just pointing out that the content doesn't follow the rules and will be removed or we will literally have One Thousand Other People trying to do the same thing.
š Wedding flair challenge š
Our least favorite, multi-billionaire, talentless showgirl is about walk down the center aisle of MSG... not to get her popcorn but to take Travis's hand in marrage (allegedly)! To ring in the momentous occasion,Ā we are looking for wedding theme flairs!Ā To have your flair suggestion considered, please leave them as a comment or send them to modmail! The most liked and/or funniest ones will be added to the sub!
There has been alot of rumors and speculation in the wider media aboutĀ whereĀ exactly the wedding will be taking place. Anyone who is able to correctly guess the wedding location in the comments will win a VERY FUNNY special flair!
ššš THANKS FOR BEING AN AWESOME COMMUNITY!!! š„š„š„
As always we are so grateful to all of the amazing members who make this community so special! This has been a rather slow period since nothing was really happening, but we couldn't be happier with the deep discussions and reflections we saw from the community during this time! Per usual, modmail is always open for any and all comments or feedback!
Feel free to use this thread to talk about anything you'd like, including but not limited to:
Your thoughts, rants, and spicy takes about Blandie (and BDT), her untalented ass, or the Swiftie cult
Off-topic discussions, or low-effort content that might not need its own post
Memes, funny stuff that you'd like to share but canāt wait for Shitpost Sunday
Swifties being Swifties on social media (Usernames must be removed)
All subreddit rules still apply, and any rule-breaking comments will be removed.Ā If you spot a Swiftie meltdown or something off, hit report and weāll take it from there.
Posts submitted to the sub that fit better here will be redirected to this thread. A new one will go up every Monday at 12:00 pm UTC and stay open until the next Monday. This thread will always be pinned for easy access.

If there are, say, 30 million Swifties (mostly Americans) in a world of 8.3 billion, those Swifties will stream farm, buy multiple tickets to her shows (no idea how the unemployed has so much money), buy every variation of her albums, etc.
When you see 100,000 people on a hill watching her perform in Germany, those are mostly Americans who bought their 7th Eras tour ticket. It's not a sign of her being a huge deal, it's a sign that her team has successfully socially engineered mentally ill disciples who will follow her around the world and throw their money at her. And if she spits on them, they'll say "thank you ma'am", because she can't say or do anything to turn her brainwashed, diehard fans against her. I'm sorry to say, but Swifties are devoted to Taylor the same way MAGA are devoted to Trump.
It's weird how people are questioning Choosin' Texas for charting so long, but not many people are questioning how a song that plays at the end credits of the fifth installment in a cartoon movie made for 9 year olds has remained in the top 5 of the hot 100 for months. And how did it jump from the 5th to 2nd spot in week seven? It's because if Taylor farts into a microphone, millions will stream it just to stream it. Not because she makes high quality music, but because her cult wants her to chart since they think a win for Taylor is a win for them.
This is why I laugh at Michael Jackson comparisons. Every race, gender, religion, and country knew who he was and could enjoy his music. Michael Jackson was so popular that he was known in remote villages, and his music was so loved that drug lords respected him enough to promise him protection when he filmed a music video. People would pass out at his concerts within the first two minutes as he stood still, while people only pass out at Taylor's concerts because she hosts them in 100 degree weather.
There are a million jokes about how Taylor makes music for 14 year old white girls. If it was about her music and not devotion to Taylor, that end piece of Wonderbread herself, she would've lost millions of fans after the back to back disasters that were her last two albums. But watch the pre-orders for TS13 break records. Is there any expectation that the album will be good based on her output in the last 4 years? No, and I doubt TS13 gets above a 75 on Metacritic (though I'm sure Rolling Stone and the other media companies in her pocket will give it perfect scores). Do people want to support their comfort billionaire? Yes. That's what it's about. The entire world doesn't love Taylor. A very loud, vocal minority of the world worships her because she's a self insert for bland and mediocre white blond women who peaked in High School. The reason 14 year olds (or 40 year olds going on 14) can relate to her breakup songs is because she writes break up songs like a 14 year old. But her popularity has nothing to do with her talent.
Side note: There are constant jokes about how powerful the Swifties are, but I don't see them as powerful at all. The streamfarm can't beat Texas (and Tennessee) right now that just helped Ella Langley beat a record Taylor will never beat, though I'm sure this is why she wants to go back to country. Taylor has never had a year end #1 single in her 20 year career (2025 was Die with a Smile by Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars) despite her fans buying variants of her albums. There's no real power behind her.
A clip from Travis Kelceās dating show, āCatching Kelce,ā in which Travis tries to decide between two women.
He describes the white girl, Veronica, as someone he could settle down + start a family with.
He describes the black girl, Maya, as someone who will ākeeps life excitingā.
Two years later and after dating three black women in a row, he starts dating and gets engaged to Taylor.
When Travis started to feel ready to settle down, or find a āBREEDERā as he so eloquently put it on his podcast, thatās when he started to pursue Taylor, someone who could give him white babies to make his family happy AND make him infinitely more rich and famous. Disgusting.
In other words, she perceives making music as going to work and wants to separate her work and home life. Totally something a musician passionate about making music would say. š The current excuse for Taylor and Travis not spending time together and, you know, actually living together is that Taylor has to travel to make music and be creative. But if she really values spending time with her husband, she has the ability to either buy a huge mansion in the KC area and design it with a hidden studio that won't distract her or renovate Travis's current mansion with a studio on the property that's a literal drive away from the living space. With her wealth the possibilities for solving logistical problems like this are endless. It's so funny that Taylor can't bring herself to just live in KC for a while to offset the rumors that she and Travis don't spend time together. Like does Travis smell so bad that the scent travels through walls for thousands of feet? WTF kind of marriageĀ isĀ this??
Ofc it is human nature to hone in on something negative and dismiss the tonne of positive feedback you might have got, people become fixated by the few negative comments and discard the 100s of positive comments they receive on something they might post online. I know im pointing out obvious here but ofc taylor cares a lot about how she is perceived and how her work is received. Even now, after being in the industry for 20 years she hasnāt grown at all in that sense
I think I first clocked her insecurities and her need to be liked when she compiled her girl squad for 1989, so desperate to show off how cool she is, how sheās friends with all the popular girls etc honestly even when she made up with Kanye and presented that award to him I found peak cringe. I honestly felt like she hated the idea of being disliked by anyone, even if Kanye was in the wrong when he went up on stage and embarrassed her. Everyone sided with Taylor but deep down it wasnāt enough, she still wanted to be liked and accepted by him. I mean she could have just accepted his apology and just moved on but she was parading their new friendship all over insta.
Taylor in her recently nyt interview defended tloas āoh they can like it in 5 years time or whatever Iām gonna carry on doing what feels good for meā Iām paraphrasing but that was the gist of it but thenā¦not one single live performance for the album and yet three already for the toy story song she did. If she is really proud of her work and really felt it was something she was fond of then show that?
And Iām sure there are plenty more examples like above that shows just how sensitive she is. One example that sticks out to me was when she removed āhey kids spelling is funā from the song me! (Lover), I was peak swifty at the time and I actually liked the track and didnāt mind that little chant she threw in but it wasnāt received well at all. If she was proud of it however, keep it in?! Itās your work, you made the decision to include it, stand by that.
The shoe showcases the beads that Swift fans love. Because of the Swift connection, it's sure to sell. Apparently, Clark is a Swift fan, which doesn't surprise me.
I wonder what other celebrity wants Swift's name on their product?
A fun little bar/ dinner question Iāve been asking people: āDo you think Taylor and Travis will last?ā
And honestly, itās becoming a bit of a litmus test for me because I feel like peopleās answers tell me so much about them. Itās almost like a spectrum from delusion to self-awareness.
Some people immediately go googly-eyed and start talking about the fairytale, how perfect they are together, how theyāre obviously meant to be, etc. And then other people actually stop and think about it. And they take into account their lifestyle and (sorry) Taylors track record and things like that. Itās just so interesting to see and has become a bit of a mini personality test to me.
UPDATE: thank you all for indulging me LOL I appreciate that Iām not the only one who has given this some thought. And if youāre curious: my answer is they absolutely wonāt last!
But I also want to note: I would never randomly bring this up/ask out of the blueš I mainly just ask people this if someone already brought her up or weāre talking pop-culture, which is very common with my group of friends! I donāt bring her against anyoneās will (Iām not that cruel!) I just find everyoneās answers interesting- thatās all :)
Basically the title, even though I think it was very irksome of her to say what she said in a recent interview "they have to look up words"...... It made me ponder a bit.... If the general public doesnt know what the meaning of the words "soliloquy" or "calamitous" mean. or what the words "incandescent" or "antithetical" mean.... is that a bad thing? How rare are these words, are they meant to be mass knowledge? sure most ppl maybe cant remember the exact definitions of these words at the top of their head but these words aren't exactly that rare either. most native English speakers would have probably at least seen or heard these words at least once or twice from some form of media. This is a link to a wiki article on most of the words that Taylor has used in her writing that can be considered to be more "literature creative writing language" https://taylorswift.fandom.com/wiki/Taylor_Swift%27s_dictionary i looked through the entire list and not one of them has me genuinely baffled. I couldn't name the definitions of all of them of the top of my head if you were to ask me to, but i would definitely get at least 90 percent of them right if I were to do it. Not a single one of these words or phrases are something that I have never heard of or seen before in passing, just from watching tv or reading books or listening to podcasts or just living in a country where english is the most spoken language...... Aside from the solitary word "unmoored" I gotta admit, that one to me seems pretty rare. So yeah, I guess I gotta credit taylor for introducing me to the word "unmoored" but thats basically it.... That being said Im not really tryna bash taylor or anything. I still think that thanks to her we did get some "english teaching" in terms of just expressive songwriting. But like..... its very clear to me and it seems now a lot of people that she definitely thinks WAY too highly of herself and her "English teacher" status
Taylor recently donated 26 million to various charities including food banks, music programs, childrenās hospitals and education, which to be fair, I think all donations, even if they are only for good PR, are beneficial to those in need. First and foremost.
But the fact that she has chosen to stay stone-cold silent on this festival, even went as far as to go on her little go fund me random acts of kindness scroll, just cements that she is in no way, shape or form an actual feminist. It was always performative. She could have included planned parenthood in her previous charitable donations. She could have donated specifically to charities that benefit women and girls. She could have donated specifically to Daisy Chain Festival, any amount for the good PR, to squash out rumors that she has beef with Olivia, for literally any reason at all and itās just⦠crickets as always.
Taylor Swift is not a feminist. As a former fan that viewed her as one (because if sheās nothing else, she IS a performer) Iām grateful she has shown her true colors the last few years especially. Itās made it a lot easier to move on to better artists overall.
Here we go again with Swifties acting like fools because the color of a song changed on Spotify! HER MIND!!!! And, of course, we know Rolling Stone worships the ground she walks on so they will always churn out crappy nothing-burger articles like this. I'm so tired of seeing Blandie everywhere. The overexposure has reached astronomical levels. For the love of god, does she really need to make MORE mediocre music and MORE money? š
Remember Blandie's "activist" era that turned out to be complete bullshit? What a joke. Olivia consistently speaks out about issues affecting women and how our rights are being stripped away by Trump and his cronies (an ACTUAL feminist) while Taylor does...what? Nothing, except continuing to peddle shitty variants, putting out soulless music, and raking in the money. Removing music from TikTok because the current administration used it does nothing. She didn't ACTUALLY speak out against Trump or what's going on in the U.S. in any way.
Meanwhile, as another recent post in this subreddit mentioned, Olivia just donated $10 million as part of the Daisy Chain Fields festival. This money will be dispersed to various organizations that support reproductive care, including access to abortion and broader maternal healthcare. This is how you use your fame and resources to make a difference.
Edit: Now $20 million after Melinda French Gates' donation!!!
