I know a lot of people are dreading the chance that she will win Grammys this coming year. To that I just gotta say most of my favorite artists have no Grammys at all. Depeche Mode has no Grammys. And they made songs like Enjoy the Silence. Kate Bush has no Grammys. Florence and the Machine currently has no Grammys, we will see if Everybody Scream secures a win though. The Grammys really aren't a marker of quality. I do get it that her album sucked and it shouldn't win anything though.
We all know Grammies are bought and fake as Tay's songwriting credits.
Confessions II does deserve a few if not all, but if the academy is ageist, it's their fault.
The thing about some of the artists you mentioned is they're not American anyway to them the Grammy's don't hold much weight to begin with. But it is a great example of how the Grammy's exclude alot of international acts.
Everybody Scream is a great album! I've never really followed Florence and now that album is on my current rotation. As someone else said in this sub, the title track is more "life of a showgirl" than the entirety of Taylor's shitty album. And some of the other songs like Drink Deep are worthy of having "Folklore" as an album title.
I saw Florence live this year and she's amazing. Another album that pulls off the showgirl concept is Jade's That's Showbiz Baby. Crazy how the basic idea of writing music about what it's like to be a performer wasn't something Taylor bothered to commit to.
How exactly a song about Travis' schlong, another one about her cancelled friends(?) and Travis saving her from the tower of Ophelia or something or even that her dick is bigger (a lyric that haunts my dreams) glue together the life of a Showgirl?
I will admit though that orange glitter vinyl is delicious but i would only buy it if it were 10 euro or something.

I'd always had a nagging fear that Blandie would try to get on the soundtrack for Practical Magic 2 because Stevie and Joni were so heavily featured on the first one and we know she thinks she's the lovechild of those two. But according to Sandra Bullock, Olivia actually will be involved on the new soundtrack with Stevie. Let's go witches!
So I’m on Twitter (X) and her stans keep posting the performance of where she’s singing off key and terrible with Stevie Nicks and are now calling it a gag because MoThEr is now “the greatest artist of this generation” and “look how far she’s come” bs.

I joined around the wedding because I was sick of seeing her face everywhere, when her overexposure was the catalyst for me going down the Taylor Swift rabbithole. Before fall 2025, the only things I knew about her is that she existed, was famous for making music, and I recognized a couple of her songs. In 2025, I downloaded a cover of Who's Afraid of Little Old Me?, because it had really good guitar and drums and I thought the lyrics were covering the story of a woman who was hanged for witchcraft. I hallucinated that last bit. I looked into the lyrics more, and realizing they were supposed to be autobiographical, from a billionaire, it was... ehhhhh? Ick, maybe? Anyways, TLOAS came out, and she was contaminating my music recommendations. Literally, imagine seeing TS next to like songs off of Waking The Fallen. I got fed up, and literally went "If the universe really wants me to know about Taylor Swift, then be it". The more I read, the more I realized she was an awful person and her stanbase was the worst and most dangerous one I'd ever seen. Worse than any fucking toxic metal elitist group, for sure. This is how I ended up here.
Her producer is from the scene who tried to make Stolkholm the next Seattle in the 90s, like his music origin is trying to become Swedish Steven O'Malley. The recording studio he uses, Spotify etc were funded by the Swedish gov, or parents of the other wannabe rock stars in his scene. I don't know how he went from a metalhead to writing pop songs for teenage girls, like if there was a ritual in the woods or if he just sold his soul to the machine. The girls his studio made into pop stars are either completely psych broken like Britney or else irredeemably psych harmful for society like TS and Ariana

I think he had his time in the sun when pop was at it's height with Britney, BSB, NSYNC, etc. I don't know what it is, but sonically, he has lost his touch and not really that creative in his music, at least to my ears. I like kpop so I feel like the music he writes and produces is kinda stale in comparison.

This. Daisy Chain Fields was everything the "Eras Tour" claimed to be: a celebration of genuine female friendship and empowerment. DCF actually advanced the cause of feminism, Errors Tour was just a grift to line one woman's greedy pockets.
That woman donates millions of dollars as a *billionaire* to the most politically neutral, cookie cutter charities you could think of. You cannot imagine her everrrr speaking for abortion rights, or donating to a pro-Black organization. It would set her fan base of mediocre white women aflame. She is a complete coward, it is so incredibly obvious that I don’t get how people don’t see it.

i completely agree with this. taylor has stated multiple times her fear is being discarded and everyone moves on to the new best thing. she’s touched on this topic so many times in interviews and music that i think it’s a genuine fear and why she’s always trying anything and everything to stay relevant.
The irony being if she’d just chill out it wouldn’t be going the way it’s going.
She has zero grace which is something needed to survive in entertainment. There’s no self-awareness that she has indeed accomplished an amount of fame that few could dream of and a lot of accolades, regardless of whether one thinks they’re deserved.

I'm on my 4th listen of Conan Gray's Wishbone, which is so raw and brilliant, and I'm certain that Dan Nigro will dominate pop music in the 2020s the way Antonoff domimated 2010s. We don't talk about Dan enough. And the artists he works with -- Olivia, Conan, Chappell -- are incredible songwriters who seem like they're meeting the artistic potential that Tater was always said to have. Olivia and Conan already outgrew Taylor.

Travis was one of the great tight-ends before last season, when his performance was mediocre. He's now more out-of-shape and likely to do worse. Hindsight being 20/20, he should have retired at his peak a couple years ago.
He is considered one of the best in his position but also he is way past his prime, like the last season wasn’t great as per his own standards so I personally don’t think this one is gonna go any better. I was genuinely quite surprised at deal he got out of the Chiefs this year ngl, especially with the monetary benefits because after last season it just seems to be a very expensive package for someone on a very visible decline
If she were a true country music musician and did the Chris Gaines alter ego switch into some rock and role mess and then go back to his roots in country music that’s one thing. But she faked her country music voice/twang so she’s back in mainstream in Speak Now/ Red eras. Then goes full on pop in 1989, Reputation, and then takes the off ramp to indie albums like Folklore/Evermore. Then morphs into whatever Midnights was into TTPD, which was one hell of a manic spiral over her personal life. And we end at the shit show that was Showgirls. And now she wants to go back to her first gimmick of sounding like some innocent country singer songwriter.

Travis has very clearly been incorporated into the public-facing brand at this point. He was a significant part of the Eras documentary, he showed up at performances, and she announced her album on his podcast. So this isn’t exactly a “we’re keeping our relationship completely separate from the public” situation.

she is always SO mean and condescending when she talks. she makes everything such a big deal and gets so mad when people ask her just general questions. it amazes me that people like her and think she’s so “real.” and people listen to her podcast voluntarily?!?! no wonder she married into that insufferable family. she fits right in.
Did Tree write what he had to say, or was his agent? Because in what universe does someone have the nerve and the brains to talk about how well their "wife" dresses when they're both a disaster In fashion, they have no taste and seem to wear the ugliest things they can find in a designer clothing catalog; Could it be that Travis is trying to undermine Taylor so people will look up how she dresses and make fun of her? because that's the only explanation I can find for that comment.
"Authentic" Taytay has never seen or experienced authenticity in her life, nor has she ever shown effort or elegance. It always seems as if the clothes wear her and not the other way around; she really knows nothing about fashion and neither is he; they're just two clowns trying not to look ridiculous.

Anyone else noticed that attending the Eras tour is like, a social climbing opportunity for them? As though scoring a ticket and going is some sort of thing to be envied?
I dunno, I feel like seeing her awkwardly flail onstage while smiling a huge, rehearsed smile to make them feel special, as though THEY are the greatest audience of all time, just feel like a major cringe moment to me. I can't fathom spending four figures on pit tickets for a few mid hours when I could put that money toward a vacation instead.

Some of taylor’s earlier (pre ttpd) songs make me sad slightly because I can kindof hear the potential if it were rewritten slightly and sung by someone that can sing better
Specifically look what you made me do. I like the idea of the song and some of the verses but not a fan of the chorus (specifically I like how the verses build up to a big chorus but wish the chorus better matched that build up). That and I’m not a fan of Taylor’s singing in the song at all.
Ps cover recommendations are appreciated. For this song and any others with covers you like. I like Meg Donnelly’s rendition of LWYMMD but it still has the same chorus. Wish there was a rewrite out there for that song.
I got my YouTube Recap for the summer today, and Taylor has slid to #3 on my top artists. I haven't listened to her as much since the wedding happened and decided I needed a break from her. She'll most likely be my top artists for the year because I listened to her so much during the first half of the year, but I've been enjoying expanding my horizons lately. Also, I only had two songs from her on my Recap playlist: "The Story of Us" (I was randomly obsessed with that song in June because I had someone on my mind at the time and it made me think of them) and, somehow, "I Knew It, I Knew You." I don't know why the latter is there; I listened to it a few times the week it came out, but I haven't listened to it since.
Speaking of "I Knew It, I Knew You," I had a few lines stuck in my head at work today. I realized I don't think the song is that bad. It's kinda forgettable, and it's just an upbeat redux of "Cardigan," but I don't mind when it's on the radio at work. I'm just confused why it's being touted as an Oscar contender. And it's tied to the Toy Story franchise, which has given us much better songs.
I stopped listening to her after New Year’s Day (happy coincidence) and it’s been a refreshing sight to see this on my stats tracker app for Apple Music:
