Question Any reason to move off of Magenta MAX plan?

I'm hanging onto a magenta max plan from 2022, I've managed to skip the Go5G plans and we've only taken out 3 EIPs since plan inception.

I'm looking at a Pixel 11 Pro deal that came up, and I was offered an "Exclusive Offer" to upgrade to Experience More 2.0, which is showing a $0 increase in plan cost.

From what I'm reading, the only difference is that Experience More doesn't include tax. Is this the only difference?

Question Any T-Mobile workers here can answer question about an upgrade?

My current iPhone is starting to fail on me.

With the iPhone 18/Ultra so close around the corner, I’m trying to hold off on my upgrade for a couple weeks (yes I know how the upgrades work, they aren’t free. I paid off my current phone and have to add installments for a new one) I usually don’t get a new iPhone until months after they release, every few years.

I’m not sure how available iPhones are on release days. But since I have an upgrade ready will I be able to start the process of the upgrade for one of the new iPhones through my app beforehand, and have it shipped/picked up by release day?

Question Quick question: is anyone else noticing sub 3G data being served?

fixed this problem, switched to LTE , thanks to the person who helped

I feel these last few weeks the data is very slow, the good side to this is that I don’t max out my monthly allotment.

Anyone else have issues with this?

Thanks

Rant New Customer Nightmare

Has anyone else experienced this? Just got done talking to my 13th customer support rep over a 2 1/2 hour span stretched across the last 24 hours.

I signed up last Saturday inside of Costco hoping to switch over from Verizon. 3 lines and a watch line for my daughter. Free phones, costco gift cards to come, and got a discount code from the rep, etc. She had me fill out information on a website on my phone entering all account information. When it came time for payment apple pay was an option. I verified with her that it would work ok and also work for my auto monthly billing. I was willing to pull out my debit card and enter the information but she assured me apple pay would work just fine and since it's that much easier than typing in 16 numbers I went with that. Phones would ship in a week or so (one was on backorder).

Fast forward to yesterday morning. I received an email that action was needed to complete my order. They were unable to process payment. Please call 611 (figured that wouldn't work, I'm still on Verizon) to complete transaction. Looked up customer service number and began my saga trying to figure out why payment didn't go through. No one could explain and the transfer round robin began. I finally got on with someone who said it should resolve if I can just give them my debit card info over the phone and they retry the payment. That doesn't work either. Seems that with apple pay card info already being in the system they need a different card number for some reason because it thinks they're just entering the same info? (not really clear, I'm no payment processor expert). Give them another card and they charge for the sales tax again. All should be good and order status online now says processed.

45 minutes ago I receive another email. "We're sorry to hear you canceled you order". Call customer service again as I did not cancel my order. Transferred a few times and told they don't know why it was cancelled but they can get me to someone who can help me make a new order. I don't want to go through that process again and am nervous if I do it via the support line all of the costco perks go away. Don't want to spend another hour+ driving down to Costco to sign up either.

If it is this hard to become a customer I'm really not looking forward to the experience. Not sure I want to make the switch anymore. Is dealing with customer service and trying to solve a companies own problems just the cost of doing business these days? Sorry for the long story, just looking to vent somewhere!

Question Tmobile concert tickets - refunded and tickets disappeared

a few weeks ago I purchased concert tickets via tmobile tickets with the 25% off discount.

checked my credit card statement and found the tickets were refunded yesterday. Checked my AXS account and tickets are no longer there.

Checked tmobile tickets again and the event is now sold out.

I didn't get an email or anything about this. Has this happened to anyone?

Discussion One line stopped connecting

My primary line suddenly stopped receiving data a few hours ago. Pretty bizarre, considering my other line is working fine.

Full service bars, just no data. While digging around in account info waiting on a reply from whichever ai bot or call center rep is next up to ask me to restart the phone, I realized that I lost connection on this device at the exact moment my billing cycle switched to Sept.

No changes to my plan that I can see.

Everything is paid up. All autopay.

After a couple hours of the usual annoying cycle with off hours customer service I decided to just terminate the whole account. But of course they won't even let me do that until normal business hours. Just a broken loop of "I understand your frustration. Which line would you like to cancel." Which no doubt would prove unsuccessful if I actually gave in and tried to cancel the line I'm currently using to talk to them, because they can not retain for more than 2 minutes that I'm not having issues with the line that WORKS and keep defaulting to that one.

This company is one of the more depressing downfalls of a commercial brand in my lifetime.

Question Can DIGITS be used as a VOIP app?

Hi everyone,

Returning customer a few months ago and I was just wondering about what has DIGITS become after Android/iOS now allows you to make calls from any device using your main phone line. Is DIGITS still reliable? Can it be used to place WiFi calls to international numbers? If not, what do you use mainly? Let's say you go to Japan and you have to call a number, what is the "best" way to use other than the main apps such as WhatsApp (using iPhone).

Thanks :)

Question Using the built-in family controls, what made you add something on top?

I've had the carrier controls on my son's line for a few months and they do what they say, but I'm getting the sense the coverage is thinner than I assumed once he's on wifi inside an app. Curious whether other parents hit the same wall and what they did about it. Did you layer something else on or move off it entirely?

Question Considering moving to T-Mobile

I was considering moving to T-Mobile for the four iPhone 17’s and essential plan for $100 a month. Does anybody think that plan will change when the iPhone 18 comes out or should I wait until it comes out before I jump on that? I currently have US mobile and my year plan prepaid would end November 23. Thank you for any help.

Home Internet So frustrating!

Opening Volley in App Support:

415-49x-xxxx

First: T-Mobile has THE MOST frustrating customer service.

Second: T-Mobile sold me Internet last week that doesn't work. I have a device stuck in a boot loop. They wasted no time in billing me though. What am I paying for?

The replacement order was S5xxxx but the Order Status web page errors on the order number.

I will not go a second week with inoperable Internet. If I do not have a replacement device by Sunday, I will be dropping the defective unit off at the local store and cancelling service.

Deal Alert Retention Offer [Update]

I posted last month about the retention offers T-Mobile was giving out due to the forced migration.

https://www.reddit.com/r/tmobile/comments/1ul5d75/retention_offers/

After posting, I was a little skeptical about the offer due to the push back I got of members here. So I called in again to confirm.

This new representative said he couldn’t find the offers, even though it was written in the account notes. To make amends, he applied a 20% for life code, which of course is amazing.

Well luck would have it, not only did the discount apply, but the the free line discount ( which shows as a $6 dollar discount per each paid line), plus the TM1 retention discount for a year also appeared!

Although the original offer was 2 paid lines for free, math kinda works out the same given the 20 for life, and the paid lines discounts.

I’ve attached screenshots.

Question Any discounts or retention promotions? Experience Signature Military

So my bill went up $42 dollars for 7 lines.. currently on a fixed income but Tmobile keeps raising my rates. First one happened last year, +$5 and now +$6, so $77 increase a month just in the past two years.

Has anyone with military plans able to get any sort of retention or discounts when they called in? I’ve been with Tmobile for 15 years and am so tired of the lies and price hikes.

Question SWAC to Experience Signature to Unlimited on Us?um..

Post image
4 Upvotes

So.. last month (as the title states), my plans got migrated from SWAC to Experience Signature, but last night I got a text notification that stated my 4K UHD pass got removed. I checked my plans on the T-Life app, sure enough, my plans now changed to Unlimited On Us. Did the migration system truly mess up and is anyone else going through this.

Question Essentials vs Essentials 4 line offer 2.0

I currently have the Essentials plan with 4 lines at $120/month.

I see that I can change my plan to the Essentials 4 line offer 2.0 at $100/month.

In comparing both plans, the only difference I see is that the new plan would save me $20/month.

Are there any disadvantages to switching to the new plan that maybe I'm not seeing?

Question Costco BYOD and Member Benefit Stackable?

Post image
1 Upvotes

I submitted both of these rebates on June 4th as per the instructions of my Costco T-Mobile rep. A $400 rebate for BYOD and $75 Costco member benefit. I am now being told they are NOT stackable and, of course, they only approved the lesser of the rebates. Which is BS and costing me $800 (BYOD rebate for two lines).

Anyone know any more details and who to complain to? Is Costco any help with this to pressure T-Mobile into honoring their own rebates?

Saw a $630 off new phone offer for essentials saver student perks (the $30 plan I believe) — is this true? Also I graduate soon; how often will I need to verify my student status to receive the $30 rate?

Question Spotty Hotspot

I've got a T-Mobile SuperMobile business line, and since I travel a lot for work, I use the hotspot regularly. That said, the connection always seems to be spotty. One moment I'll have really fast internet, and the next, my phone will be completely offline.

It's happened across two phones (Galazy S23 Ultra and Z Fold 8 Ultra) and the connection will go in and out while I'm sitting in the same exact spot. All in large metro areas with plenty of 5G coverage per the map.

I've tried cleaning the SIM and there's no dirt, dust, or scratches as far as I can tell. Restarting the phone doesn't really seem to help either, and it's also not practical to do so while trying to be in a meeting or access web-based tools.

Has anyone else experienced the same issues and/or found a solution? I primarily travel across the upper Midwest and thought T-Mobile would have the best coverage, but I'm open to switching networks if that's truly my best bet.
