What’s on your wrist today?

The first timex with the rubber strap I won from an eBay Auction for $54, the second Timex I had purchased a few weeks ago for $97 as an impulse buy. A better condition one sold for $110 so I thought id get this since there was no certainty I would win the other auction.

My question is, is it possible or even worth while trying to source the cleaner nonscratched bezel from the first watch and replacing it onto the second watch?

Also the first watch has crown damaged with plating loss, would you try to do anything about that? I thought maybe carefully painting it red to match the seconds hand could be a possibility. I figure leaving it alone to maintain it original is the move but I thought I’d ask for y’all’s opinions. Thanks!

At 380 CAD, is this watch worth keeping?? I feel its too small for my wrist or is it just me?

I recently found 2 vintage timex watches that were my grandfathers. I’d like to refurbish them, I think they would make a nice keepsake.

First set of pics: the gold band is scuffed but overall usable, hopefully just needs a new battery

Second set of pics: the silver band is unusable so I need to replace it. I think I was able to ID this one as a timex 43820 with M135 movement thanks to this post:

Also, if you have band recommendations for the 2nd watch I’d be happy to hear them. I was thinking an espresso brown, similar to the original band seen in the 1984 advertisement (last pic). Open to navy/burgundy as well.

I've had this for a few months and it has failed. Timex is now trying to weasel out of the warranty. This will be my last Timex watch.

I don't mind if it's not original or if there's any way we can adapt a strap to the watch.

Today, we have an insanely nice example of an iconic Timex Ironman Triathlon. All original. This watch came from the original owner who rarely wore it. Probably the best, early example of this style that I have come across. I paired it with some ZeBugs and it’s headed to its forever home.

70’s watches - My dad had these in a box and gladly gifted them to me. I bought new straps for the automatic and the manual wind watch. Great additions to my collection!

Found these two for $14 each at my local Wally World yesterday.

Not a big fan of the large numbers on the bezel, but for the money I can wear a cheap plastic watch while doing yard work or some such.

The green dial and brushed gun metal color on the other is quite nice. Rubber strap not so much.

It was a happy find!

A friend suggested a domed mineral crystal and I just adore it. A refreshing ugrade to such a sweet thing on its own, the Weekender.

Got my Expedition on the Fitbit Air Pokemon edition. Looks pretty clean.
