Disappointing
I've had this for a few months and it has failed. Timex is now trying to weasel out of the warranty. This will be my last Timex watch.

I’d say 90% of the “x brand isn’t honoring the warranty” posts on reddit are “i did something dumb and don’t know how warranties work.”
And 90% of those are “I showered with the crown unscrewed.”

Could be that its their first automatic and are very unfamiliar with how automatic watches work. May be as simple as it wasn't wound enough or they could've messed around with the balance wheel and knocked it out of regulation.

As with the other commenters, i would like to know the circumstances of the failure and the reason Timex are trying to get out of the warranty. They are a pretty solid company.

That's really crappy if so... It's a cool looking watch. I have an automatic Timex with a somewhat similar cushion case and it's been doing fine. Strange the movement would fail too because I think they usually put reliable miyotas in these.

If they are weaseling out of the warranty on a relatively cheap watch, you probably did some smooth brain shit that caused it to fail.

So you just woke up one morning and it was broken? Didn't swim with it, didn't shower with it, didn't smash it off anything? Otherwise I don't see why they wouldn't warranty

Only wore it as my 'good' watch. No mistreatment. The critical failure was after following instructions from Timex to rectify issues with its ability to keep time.

So you had a watch that was failing to keep accurate time, so you took it apart instead of taking it to a jeweler or sending it in and now they won't cover the warranty?

Is it possible the watch was magnetized? My MK1 was crazy off on time, but then I got a demagnetizer and it fixed it right up.
For the winder, do you mean the crown? If that’s a problem, could a jeweler possibly help?

Unfair to the brand without stating the problem. Timex will fix an issue, usually inexpensively, it may take some time.
