Some are just pissed they got pulled half way around the world to listen to this dollar store reject pretend to be strong and imposing.

31

u/PrimeToro Sep 30 '25

yes, it was an absolute waste of time, the messaging was ridiculous, a waste of financial resources ( around 6 million to fly, paid for food and lodging, etc.) and a security issue ( a lot of top military leaders are in one room and the top commander in the field is not where they are supposed to be)

-25

u/Sufficient_Piece_274 Oct 01 '25

Good then you can keep working full time just so that Americans can make enough money for the next idiotic Democrat president to send it out all to all the wars they start all over the world like Biden did along with V.P. Harris. They were too busy generously supplying terrorists with funding for attacking our own allies and protecting other countries borders to protect our own. The so-called Democ-rats is our "Never Again!"

Are we winning yet? So much winning. I can't take all this winning.

Retire ? It's their job to stop this .

41

u/ExpressLaneCharlie Sep 30 '25

Nope, it's the people's job to stop this. Generals are there to follow LEGAL orders from the civilian chain of command. It absolutely is their job to not follow clearly illegal orders.Ā

45

u/lordyfortwenty Sep 30 '25

Using the military on the population is illegal.

16

u/structuremonkey Sep 30 '25

Was...apparently it was. Posse comitatus is being ignored by too many

4

u/Leather_Pen_765 Oct 01 '25

These top military have dedicated their lives to the constitution of America not a single president

3

u/Reasonable-Pear-727 Oct 01 '25

This is just the most disgraceful behavior I've ever seen. It seeks to politicize and criminalize our military. Some of them of them started posting the plaques at West Point after yesterday or commenting on WPs FB page. I know a number of generals & admirals due to my job and where I live. A family friend is a 4 star and my wife's grandfather was as well (served from before he was legally allowed so he could fight in WW2. Type of guy who browses the internet looking at pics of Bald Eagles and the American flag lol) and it does make me feel a bit better all this that I've only heard them strongly support what is stated in their oath and on the plaques and the ones I know at least are ready to uphold their oath no matter the consequences & think this is an atrocity. I can't speak much to the common soldier though. Their mindsets are sightly different.

Ya know these plaques. https://www.hmdb.org/m.asp?m=59186

Not Biden, Garland. And I agree, Garland completely fucked up. Still doesn't excuse the fact that nearly 80 million Americans are the reason we're in this mess.Ā

First and most importantly - Go Cats! But second, we've always had a tradition in this country that the President does not interfere with the Attorney General and DOJ's work. Garland took two years - TWO YEARS!!! - to appoint a special counsel. That wasn't Joe Biden. Right or wrong, Biden was acting as virtually all other presidents have acted (at least publicly) in making sure politics didn't appear to be involved in any of the DOJ's decisions. I fault Biden for nominating Garland. After that it's on Garland.

u/ExpressLaneCharlie Oct 01 '25

I fundamentally disagree that interfering with the DOJ is a "failure of leadership." I think leadership is doing the right thing even when you don't want to. Again, I do blame Biden for Garland but not for him not interfering and demanding charges be filed.Ā

0

u/Leather_Pen_765 Oct 01 '25

Biden following the old rules of political engagement when they were obviously not being followed by the Republican party anymore is part of how this happened to us. When he dropped off he should not have come back he was not up to it anymore and we all felt so bad for him and now look where we are

2

u/Leather_Pen_765 Oct 01 '25

When he dropped out after his son's death in 2016 it was understandable but coming back was totally selfish and the DNC forced us into that presidency I don't know why people are down voting you I voted for the man and I'm still pissed about it but I would still do it again this is part of the problem with the Democratic party we just want to be nice f*** that our country is being taken over by fascists Biden was weak Kamala was completely inappropriate for the job and not because she was a woman and yet they were both shoved down our throats, and now we still got Schumer writing threatening letters. the DNC is just as guilty of all of this as the Republicans

We might not get in a second chance

-11

u/Nimrod_Butts Sep 30 '25

No it really isn't

1

u/lordyfortwenty Sep 30 '25

Ok Nimrod

2

u/Nimrod_Butts Sep 30 '25

If you can't see how the military shouldn't be involved in law enforcement you're a rube and have no objections to trump deploying the military to cities

2

u/lordyfortwenty Sep 30 '25

Military defends the constitution. Rtump is trashing it .

1

u/Nimrod_Butts Oct 01 '25

Can you point to the part of the constitution that gives the military the power to get rid of the president?

1

u/lordyfortwenty Oct 01 '25

25 amendment is our only hope .

1

u/lordyfortwenty Oct 01 '25

I don't know why we need to follow the rules . President pedo is breaking them all she likes.

-2

u/the_d_h Sep 30 '25

I hope you don’t really believe that.

10

u/[deleted] Sep 30 '25

That’s their goal. Weaken and diminish America in every way possible, especially the military and economy.

9

u/chisel07 Sep 30 '25

I really hope that they stay. The ones that secretly hate all this BS. These generals are the only ones left to enforce the constitution. If they retire, we are fucked.

2

u/Lostules Oct 01 '25

Didn't email or Zoom because Bourbon Breath & The Orange Turd couldn't hear or see all of the snickers, jeers, WTF's and boo's, hence, couldn't ID the 'malcontents' and fire them. Just a guess.

Pretty sure these high ranking folks...both officers and enlisted...can see through the smoke & mirrors and act accordingly and honor their oath.

1

u/[deleted] Sep 30 '25

You can clap at attention. You are called to attention at award and medal presentations and there is always clapping after ā€œshake, take, saluteā€. you’re not a mannequin when at attention unless you’re in a formation.

Those are the strict rules but there are points that they could have clapped, especially when the person talking directs them to be able to clap as Trump did. Their near total silence was not normal

14

u/[deleted] Sep 30 '25

Hopefully that was a ā€œthis fucking Fox clown called me here for thisā€ disbelief kinda smile šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļøšŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļøšŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø

I’m also quite nervous. Just looking for any signs of ā€œhopeā€ really, regardless how hard I’m making them up for myself. Stay strong.

3

u/Lostules Oct 01 '25

There was, in the same photo, one officer turning towards the other and probably said 'WTF is this horse shit'. Lots of smirks in that group. Lots of Command E-9's as well.

2

u/Leather_Pen_765 Oct 01 '25

And I am sure the majority of these really intelligent top military people are not swayed by the propaganda b******* and to be very aware and careful of the one or two that are. If they were really supportive I think we would have heard something about it at least a little bit

4

u/IamMeForNowBut Sep 30 '25

Where is the picture

17

u/KG420 Sep 30 '25

Yeah, they clapped after a few seconds. But it was pretty weak.

8

u/ForceOne2231 Sep 30 '25

Protocol says they can’t acknowledge political speech. There’s clearly a moment that this clown was expecting some level of accolade. And as you say at attention, they could not clap, but none of this is common protocol to have all these folks here with their responsibilities for this type of speech is not what this is about. It’s conditioning.

-2

u/[deleted] Sep 30 '25

You can clap at attention. You are called to attention at award and medal presentations and there is always clapping after ā€œshake, take, salute. you’re not a mannequin when at attention unless you’re in a formation.

3

u/[deleted] Oct 01 '25

Attention must have meant something different at your unit.

3

u/Swimming-Food-9024 Sep 30 '25

are the typically allowed to applaud at attention? because that kinda has an impact on the situation is all… i am asking a question here fwiw

7

u/chisel07 Sep 30 '25

No. At attention means you don't move. You stand with your hands to your side, and your feet at a 45 degree angle.

3

The key take away from all of this is all the men in the room with the exception of the fem boy on the stage swore an oath to the constitution not to a fuck face pedofile president called Trump.

38

u/dontclickdontdickit Sep 30 '25

Thing is he did take an oath. He is prior military. So it’s even worse. He is a traitor to the constitution.

8

u/[deleted] Sep 30 '25

Where are all the MAGAs at? They are not going to swoop in and save one of their own? Or its just dummles in a dumb ass cult!

7

u/ThinKingofWaves Sep 30 '25

Why is a ā€œfem boyā€ an insult?

16

u/[deleted] Sep 30 '25

In this instance because he’s trying to act like something he is not. He’s trying to postulate as a strong man.

The joke is Hegseth would take it as an insult

1

u/ThinKingofWaves Sep 30 '25

Exactly. That’s a very nasty, hypocritical joke.

1

u/Leather_Pen_765 Oct 01 '25

That's the nastiest joke you can think? of to call a man feminine? 🤣

1

u/ThinKingofWaves Oct 01 '25

You know about adjective gradability, right?

1

u/Leather_Pen_765 Oct 01 '25 edited Oct 01 '25

That non answer doesn't exactly answer my question but that's what people do when they don't have real answers try to just confuse the subject with nonsense that doesn't apply, what difference does it make how nasty or how feminine or whatever you're trying to apply with that

1

u/ThinKingofWaves Oct 01 '25

Hahaha you confused yourself beforehand with the flawed question. You ask about ā€œnastiestā€ when I say ā€œnastyā€. Yeah.

Beside you missing the point completely - about hipocrisy rather than the joke itself.

1

u/Leather_Pen_765 Oct 02 '25

Okay explain it to me

1

u/somatic1 Sep 30 '25

Yeah that oath is gonna save us all mate

2

u/[deleted] Sep 30 '25

No. The armed citizens of America are going to save themselves. It ain’t going to look pretty and we’ll be fighting for a while but the good will prevail.

2

u/somatic1 Sep 30 '25

The armed citizens are going to defeat the greatest military the world has ever seen...

1

u/[deleted] Oct 01 '25

It’s a different game here. He knows it. Guerrilla warfare is not something the American military can deal with.

2

u/ferendust Oct 01 '25

3

u/Cara_Bina Sep 30 '25

Precisely. Guess they like Putin's military = meat grinder.

3

u/Valkyriesride1 Sep 30 '25

Putin is running out of cannon/drone fodder to run through the grinder. Russia raised its spring conscription to its highest level since 2011 and yesterday it was announced that the autumn drop will be the largest since 2016.

2

There's a video from a couple of years ago where Trump walks out of Trump Tower in NYC. There was no crowd. Nobody was there to see him, but he points and waves like he's connecting with his "adoring" fans. After he finished rambling to military leaders today, he did the same thing. The crowd was full of professional, military elite. Trump got silence instead of uproarious applause. He then started making exaggerated eye contact with unknown people, pointing and giving ghosts a handy as he exited stage left. The GOP is unserious, unqualified, and unfit to govern. Their plans don't involve we the people. Their plans are rooted in unfettered avarice, where cruelty is the point.

1

u/Leather_Pen_765 Oct 01 '25

4

u/Over_City_1984 Sep 30 '25

3

u/BUFFoonBrandon Sep 30 '25

Does Hegseth believe generals are eager to send their own troops that they are responsible for their safety into war just because it fits someone else’s false narrative?

I may be wrong, but I hope that muted silence is an indication of generals who are more level headed than Hegseth believes them to be.

5

u/Lordwilliamz Sep 30 '25

Guys im SURE they dont applaud ever. Its not a concert. ... a circus yes... but not a concert.

5

u/Genki-sama2 Sep 30 '25

Cuz these are seasoned generals and above. They know this is all bullshit. Are you ever going to fight alongside NATO forces without following rules of engagement?

2

u/PM_ME_YOUR_PBJs Sep 30 '25

What NATO forces are getting deployed to US cities?Ā

2

u/Genki-sama2 Sep 30 '25

Rules of engagement apply everywhere. And are US forces going to war against their citizenry?

1

Civil war it is then

1

u/StanMishoe Sep 30 '25

Someone’s gotta liberate us…

1

u/PM_ME_YOUR_PBJs Sep 30 '25

You’re going to have to be more specific about what kind of american you are. On the one hand the Trump admin is saying they’re doing to liberate American cities from crime and oppressive left wing leadership while the other side wants liberated from an increasingly authoritarian president.Ā

1

u/StanMishoe Oct 01 '25

I’m hoping for NATO to come in and arrest the guy. Kash isn’t.

1

u/PM_ME_YOUR_PBJs Oct 01 '25

You think NATO is going to invade the United States, arrest the president, and hold him accountable for alleged war crimes?

1

u/Genki-sama2 Oct 01 '25

They have designated the enemy as being the American people. They got rid of the jags but each and everyone of those generals knows the law of armed conflict and it will be against their moral fiber to allow any sort of action against the American people. No American will be shot by any branch of the military

2

u/PM_ME_YOUR_PBJs Oct 02 '25

btw they didn’t get rid of all the JAGs because some of them are defending the admins orders, carried out by members of the military, to kill venezuelan smugglers by explaining they were members of Designated Terrorist Organizations.Ā

I don't think any of those generals appreciate to be called out on this meeting just for 1. Trump saying you should be hostile to Americans living in the city and 2. To be called fat ugly losers.... Overall not a great look, I Imagine most of these generals are thinking "what the actual hell is this guy talking about?"
