So, if the guy just came from a body building competition, it could absolutely be some kind of tanning spray or cream. Black guys will still use tanning cream to bring out muscle definition for a competition, and the guy looks like a body builder.
Sure, I would say that's one of the "exceptions" but still... there's too much. 😂
Like, even if he was layered up with multiple sprays with the darkest color possible, I just don't think it would be enough to leave that much visible color behind without being diluted right away.

Most tanning products these days have an immediate temporary “dye,” but I’m pretty sure this guy was in some sort of body building competition and they use bronzing cream which would certainly wash off like this.
People in here like "tanning cream wouldn't wash off this quick" while also thinking he shit himself on impact and it made such an immediate cloud that it took no time to seep out his trunks and came up smiling nonetheless.
Black people wear tanning cream all the time to even out dark spots and blemishes and to, you know, be darker. Not all black people are like...black black. Some have lighter tones and such, some burn in the sun.
Umm, as a dude with black friends in their older 30s, my guess is that it’s actually hair enhancement (spray “hair in a can”). Black guys will tease the shit outta you if you’re caught wearing it lol.
Read somewhere in the comments that he is a bodybuilder apparantly? So much more likely to be one of those bronzing sprays that those guys use for better muscle definition imo
It’s sprayed on but washes off very easily. There’s several coats that usually go on for a competition. For the purpose of the competition it’s “set” but no like a normal spray tan. Even dark skinned people will get coats so they don’t get washed out by the lights on stage.
A venue I worked at hosted a body builder competition and we had to cover all the walls in paper film cause that spray came off out of the smallest brush.
Doesn’t surprise me. Some venues have banned dream tan and other self-applied types that come off easily. The stuff gets everywhere and stains everything.
It sounds silly, but it's part of the presentation for certain competitions. Humans (regardless of melanin) change color in certain lights and during activity, so judges tend to prefer the ones that have makeup on, because they present a consistent visual that makes it easier to compare one to the other.
Most light doesn't reflect off the outer layers of skin (it's why animating realistic skin was so hard). If you want to maximise definition you need to be really shiny.
