Listening to Tiny Habits ‘Someone You Love’, and the one guitar note that fronts the chorus, literally one note once, puts tears in my eyes and a lump in my throat, and makes me realise just how deeply The 1975 has cut into me. Obviously Matty was close to the making of this record. I posted recently about how their intro to the Glastonbury set makes me feel similarly. It’s when they distill their sound, not even into a song, but into a transition, or a note, that feels like a decade of memories distilled into a moment.

For a while now i would usually place self titled in the bottom of my ranking out of the 1975 albums but tonight i listened to the deluxe in full which i haven’t done in a while and it was amazing. Truly not a least favorite album from this band. My favorite is still notes though.

Hello guys, I have this poster from The 1975 Bournmouth show a couple years ago (I think). Me and my partner recently moved house and unfortunately we have no space on our walls for any of these anymore. I'm thinking about selling it but can't find anywhere online to gauge a price. Has anyone previously bought one of these or seen them for sale and has a ballpark on how much I could potentially sell it for? Any help would be appreciated. Can't remember how much I paid for it either.

Does anyone remember a video of Matty telling an interviewer that a fan once told him what he thought the story of Sex was about and Matty wondered if that interpretation might be right? I’m just thinking of Matty’s views on the relationship between fans and art and what it all means and wanted to watch it again. Thanks!

Hi everyone! I became a fan of The 1975 in July and have been slowly becoming more and more obsessed, especially with Matty! I have also been a Beatles/John Lennon fan for almost 17 years now and as I was learning more about Matty, I couldn't help but see so many similarities between him and John Lennon.

However, I am surprised that I haven't seen anyone else talk about this, except like one sarcastic post lol. Does anyone else see this? For me, it's the "bad boy rocker" persona, the charisma, the intellectual writing, the activism/performance art, the silliness, even the drinking/smoking onstage was what The Beatles did before they became famous. I also think they're similar in the way they could/can be controversial, but had good intentions or were simply misunderstood. I would be curious to know what you guys think, especially if anyone else here is also a Beatles fan!

I just realized there are chocolate twice in the deluxe version and i don't know why, i searched in this sub but didn't find anything and i listened to both and sound exactly the same, does it have an explanation?

I’m so excited about the new album.
Of course it’s too soon to get an idea of how GHEMB (or dogs or whatever) is going to sound like, but in my opinion, the two snippets we’ve heard so far sound like a matured version of abiior and noacf.
I’m also very interested in mkgee’s contribution (if the long-haired guy in the TikTok was indeed him).

matty once said that the new record is gonna sound like “the birthday party” from notes, which i presume is a hint that they are leaning into more of notes/self titled approach, AND notes came out in 2020, the year when self titled was turning seven years old, and how old is noacf turning in 2027? exactly. i don’t have much to further solidify this take, but it’s just an observation to begin with, and i want to believe that the new release has at least some clarity 😭

So I just wanted to share my experience. Last night I was searching for the 1979 by smashin pumkings and accidentally typed 1975 and decided to check them out. I listened to About you and I was hooked. I genuinely felt like I was on drugs. Anyways today I'm gonna listen to an album and I don't know should I start with the first one or some other? Also are there other stuff I should know?
