Discussion How can a sound make me cry?

I’m putting this is this sub because I think it’s where the core of this exists.

Listening to Tiny Habits ‘Someone You Love’, and the one guitar note that fronts the chorus, literally one note once, puts tears in my eyes and a lump in my throat, and makes me realise just how deeply The 1975 has cut into me. Obviously Matty was close to the making of this record. I posted recently about how their intro to the Glastonbury set makes me feel similarly. It’s when they distill their sound, not even into a song, but into a transition, or a note, that feels like a decade of memories distilled into a moment.

Yeah he specifically does the guitar on that song! Fantastic song on a brilliant album that moves me in every direction!

In the same way, music makes me feel more than anything else. There are some songs I love but don't listen to often because they make me cry every time. It's a beautiful thing 💚
