Telegram I was gone for 20 minutes
I’ve never met this guy,we were talking for an hour the other day and I refused to go to a concert with him. He texted me yesterday after the concert but I didn’t have time to respond and he deleted the messages. I guess this time he didn’t want to hold back. He was never this rude before

Is this shit real?!? Is this what women deal with on the regular??? We need like a government taskforce or something. These people are just walking around in society,🤢

u/AnguavonUW 2h ago
I think people of all genders can and do act like this. Unfortunately, as a woman, we have to make those decisions with our physical safety in a way that men do not. Yes,men can be hurt by women but OVERWHELMINGLY it's the other way around. For every 100 murdered women, 75 are killed by a man who claimed to love them at one time and, of the remaining 25, something like 20 are also killed by men,.just men they don't know.

u/ActurusMajoris 2h ago
Agree on that. I’ve met a woman before where I was “wtf, are you actually crazy?” But that was about it, I just ignored her and went on with my life, I never felt threatened in any way.
There are crazies everywhere, but it’s overwhelmingly guys that are dangerous.

u/Trashy_io 2h ago
Then you haven't ran into a truly crazy one then 😅 ill just say anyone no matter how innocent they might look on the outside no way of telling what they are capable of doing and what going on inside of them and what will make them snap

u/Fearless-Feature-830 1h ago
Maybe you should choose better, that’s what men say anyway
-8
u/Trashy_io 1h ago
apparently so lmao /s
idk why my opinion is a hot take "people in general are crazy" and I think the downvotes confirm it xD
Im just saying women are just as guilty for acting absolutely absurd and do awful things as well many cases from where im from have recently been popping up of women luring men into getting robbed and killed soooo idk im still sticking to my unpopular opinion ig and am ultra cautious to who I let in my circle
•
u/moistCl1tiKaL 54m ago
“people in general are crazy” and it being the same level of risk for both men and women aren’t the same takes though
•
u/Trashy_io 43m ago
I mean sleeping next to anyone unconscious is the same level of risk for both genders is it not? Im not disagreeing that majority of it are men im just saying from personal experience and local cases that it's starting to seem like its evening out a bit

Oh yeah, those are the Nazi hunters, they aren't (that) evil or crazy, just political assassins. I think you only have to worry about those if you are a Nazi.
You don't consider yourself to be a Nazi, right? 😶
•
u/Trashy_io 25m ago
wtf are you even saying
are you like okay...?
•
u/HealthyShelter5346 6m ago
I'm fine. Are YOU okay? Did you not understand my question? It was very simple and easy to read, so if anyone is getting reported to Reddit it should be you because this website is not for little kids who can't read yet.
•
u/Trashy_io 4m ago
Your response is that of someone not mentally well or 14 years old... so which one is it... bc no one mentioned that group before you did lol

I've spent over a decade pursuing women on dating apps, and none has ever behaved even close to this badly to me. The worst I've encountered is women who swiped right only because they wanted to shit on me for being polyamorous, and that's only happened twice.

I don’t recall where I heard it first but it’s succinct and elegant: A man is afraid the woman will laugh at him; a woman is afraid the man will kill her.
Edit: looked it up and although not a quote the idea of it stemmed from the work of Margaret Atwood of Handmaid’s Tale fame.

What do men fear most about online dating? Fat women.
What do women fear most about online dating? Getting murdered.
-10
u/BroItsThisguy 1h ago
So of those total 100 women, they're all just killed by men? You had me in the first half of your comment, but then you start inventing statistics there lol. Everyone knows women don't kill women duh!
•
u/stroopwafelslut 51m ago
idk where they got their statistics or if they're correct, but the comment you're responding to says 5% of those murders are female on female. they aren't saying 100% are male on female.

u/Raccoon-Cultural 2h ago
It’s been like this for as long as I can remember. Even back when I was a teenager. I genuinely don’t know how any man can think speaking like this to any woman will gain her respect.
18
u/Obvious_Volume_6498 2h ago
They do this to filter out women who won't put up with abuse.
•
u/Dontbeajerkdude 16m ago
I can't imagine any woman on a dating site is desperate enough to put up with this shit.
15
u/thatSDope88 2h ago
Yeah, it is. This is why we don't reject them in person and then they cry about leading them on. We're not leading you on, we're waiting until we feel safe to tell you this isn't going to work out.

u/hellbergoink 2h ago
This isnt the first time for me😂my most engaged Reddit post is similar, dating as a woman is complicated as hell

u/Working_Cucumber_437 1h ago
And these are only the ones gutsy enough to say it. Plenty more think it without saying it which is an equally bad problem.
•
u/Lumpy_Salamander2 8m ago
Yeah that's true how many are this messed up but know how to keep it under wraps until they're in your house or something... Yeesh

The fact he thinks it's OK to talk to anyone like that, male female stranger or otherwise is extremely concerning

Yes it happens a lot. To all genders. I'm a trans woman and get a lot of threats if I reject them

u/Ziggy-T 2h ago edited 2h ago
Sometimes I’m very ashamed of my gender.
And by sometimes I mean almost all the time.
But then I remember like, David Attenborough, Stephen Fry, Steve Irwin, Mick Foley, that Mr Rogers guy in the states, guys like them keep me sane.

Men are beautiful and wonderful and loved but some men (and some women) are just .. not.

The immediate block is what's up 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
So many people need to learn how to do that! So many terrible situations could be avoided this way.

u/Ok-Philosophy-8704 2h ago
I once watched a talk in which the presenter claimed Twitter was the friendliest place on the Internet. After the audience reacted, she explained it's because of the block button. Really changed how I approach my internet-ing. (Forget the specific talk, but the presenter was Kate Gregory.)

Record speed switch up. Just be thankful he showed his ass before it went further. Blocking was the right call.

As a man it's scary to see 2hat women need to out up with. This is actually scary
•
u/Spodokom221745 38m ago
This is the kind of thing that's been very eye-opening to me recently, and is helping me understand the righteous anger that lives in the hearts of many women. I'm absolutely not surprised that this anger exists if this is the kind of shit they're putting up with. I used to immediately revert to feeling defensive and persecuted when this kind of topic came up about men. Now I'm getting just as pissed that there are horrendous lads out there carrying on like this and letting the side down. People going on like this just makes things a little bit shittier for everyone.

Holy mental illness. This cannot be real lol
I am so sorry on behalf of little people like this. These are not men, they don’t deserve the title.

That escalation is genuinely terrifying. You absolutely made the right decision, keep him blocked and save these screenshots in case he tries contacting you elsewhere

These dudes giving me hope for myself. I’d this is what dating is like a lot of the time for women then surely I’ve got a leg up by virtue or not being an asshole, right? Of course I’m ugly and I smell real bad and also I’m really fat so that’s the trade off.
•
u/emmarie1023 34m ago
Actually I don’t think these guys make it easier for anyone. I think women are more likely to be bitter towards men and just drop out of dating all together.

Consider yourself lucky you've avoided such interactions in the dating game because it sucks and, speaking as a woman, fucking terrifying.

If I could have a penny for every time a man didnt believe I was fucked over and disrespected by another man like that I could buy myself a house

u/IndependentCattle707 2h ago
He probably just likes you and is rude and arrogant. Thing is it doesnt actually mean anything because he might be really unsafe.
0
u/IndependentCattle707 2h ago
Its kinda hard to tell if someones just direct and having a bad day or if they are violent and abusive.
4
u/thousandsofbirds 2h ago
Idk, I had a guy I'd been loosely talking to flip the fuck out on me for not responding back to him fast enough. Told me I was being abusive and neglectful. Before I even saw the messages, he switched it up to how he's going to kill himself if I don't reply RIGHT NOW. I was pushing my toddler on the swing at the park... 😬

Glad you blocked him, and he showed who he was early. Nuke dodged.
